My previous HP Inkjet printers and my HP laser printer were just "there" on the Wi-Fi network and anyone on the same Wi-Fi network was able to quickly and easily choose a printer and send a print job to it. This printer is "there" but selecting it as the destination for a print job involves a "wait for a connection to the printer" and a risk that the printer will spit out a blank page along with displaying a "Cancelled" message on the printer itself. Sending the job again has, so far, resulted in it being printed. Further, there is a significant time-delay before printing begins.\n\nA really nice feature is the printer control panel displays the name of the file being printed. I like that.\n\nAfter getting this printer to work on my desktop (also HP) Windows 11 system, I had to tinker with each of our two HP laptops (also Windows 11) computers to ensure they could easily print to this new inkjet printer. \n\nThe first time I tried, HP Smart showed the old printer I had removed as still in my account and I made no progress. The next day, the "ghost" printer was gone and printing just worked!\n\nThe next day and the second HP laptop went smoothly. Apart from the rather long delay before printing actually begins, this new printer is doing just fine. \n\n(Watch out because it does seem to prefer "Landscape" printing and you must specify "Portrait" if that is what you want.)

The printer doesn't include a USB cable for a hardwired first‑time connection, so you're pushed into using the HP app right away. On my PC, the app was slow and struggled to complete the setup, and I eventually had to switch to my phone to finish the process. Not difficult, just more time‑consuming than other printers I've installed.\n\nThe printer itself is lightweight. When removing the packing tape, the scanner lid actually popped off its hinge. It snapped back into place quickly, but it was surprising. Once everything was assembled and configured, though, the printer behaved normally.\n\nPrinting performance is where this model shines. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this printer to replace one that was being finicky, if I didn't use it often, it would clog and waste ink cleaning it. The HP 8135E has a little bit bigger footprint than my previous printer but I like the overall design of it. Kind of classy for a printer. Set up was super easy, basically plugged in and turned on, followed a few directions and was good to go. The app to print from is easy and seems very user friendly so far. I haven't got to try actual photo paper yet but was printing a picture of the headboard I made and tried color draft, black and white and color. In both of the drafts, with all the color, you could see the lines from where it printed so fast. Usually when printing in drafts, it's just for me and every printer I have had has done that so not an issue. The picture on the far right is the regular color and looks great. It prints fast and is quiet. The only thing I am wary of is the instant ink and how the charges work but think it would be a good thing so will see how that plays out.

This is my first new...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first new printer in 10 years. Needless to say, this is a nice upgrade. After easily unpacking it, I plugged it in and downloaded the online software. I had some difficulty connecting, but that was an error with ethernet on my end. Once I troubleshooted that, I was able to successfully connect and print. My first print job was simple and the job was done quickly and the final product was neat and clear. When I attempted to scan, I was unable to do so without downloading scanner software. This was a simple download and upon completion, I scanned and saved a few documents. My only complaint is that I am unable to scan a double sided document without reinserting the document. Not a huge problem, just a bit inconvenient when working with double sided lengthy documents. Overall, this is an easy to use printer+ at a reasonable price. It also has a professional, high end look for an at home printer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never had an HP printer before this. As soon as it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised as to how light weight the product was. It was very easy getting it out of its box, with its included handles on the plastic wrap/baggy it was in which i very much appreciated! The setup and ink installation was a breeze. Only took less than 10 minutes to do everything. Scanned the QR code for the step by step guide, which was simple to follow. Got my HP app installed and ready to use. I love that i don't need a USB/Ethernet to use this printer, as im mostly going to stick with my phone app to access the printer, and I probably don't have open plug space on my computer any way. All in all, im a very happy HP printer gal!

To say it's an upgrade is an understatement. This printer handles any task you throw at it, from office forms printing front and back to bright beautiful pictures, faxing, scanning, the works! Only knock on it would be that pictures only print great on photo paper, as printing on regular paper lacks vividness. If quality, ease, speed and "set it and forget" is your motto as well then look no further. It came in like a cool summer breeze on our favorite beach, which we printed a gorgeous picture of that can be seen in our review picture!

This all-in-one printer is not as good as advertised.\r\n(1) I configured the printer as instructed. I tried to set up On/Off times (the printer gives an option to select ON/OFF times for each day of the week) using the touch screen on the printer. The problem is the printer uses ONLY GMT (suitable for users in the U.K). I live in the eastern U.S. I want the printer to come ON at 9 AM, New York time and go OFF at 10 PM New York time. It was not possible. I have given up.\r\n(2) I have been using the HP Smart app for printing and scanning documents foryears with the All-in-one 8625 printer which was very good, but failed recently. Now, with the 8135, every time I start the HP Smart, it asks for the printer PIN (although it was required at the initial set up only). Strangely, it gives an error whaen the correct PIN is entered. So, I ignore it by pushing the CANCEL button.\r\n(3) The printer crashes sometimes, and does not respond. The only way to restart is PowerOFF/Power ON.\r\n\r\nI have not tested it extensively, because we do not print/scan documents every day.

I got a new HP (ProBook) laptop and have two printers each on a different local network. My older printer just came up and ran on the new computer. This printer took some effort to install. I used the HP AI tool to guide me through the issues. It took about an hour which required a couple of cycles through the process to get it right. The AI tool changed the process slightly on each iteration, but it did succeed.\n After I got it installed its quality is as expected and has not exhibited any issues to date though scanning documents are a little more difficult on the new system.\n\nI have not tried photo copping as yet. I use medium resolution generally.

Every time you put paper on the tray screen pops up saying you've changed the paper size evennwhen you're putting more of the same paper in the tray. The touch screen is very precise as well. If you don't touch the icon in the middle it doesn't register your touch. Also, the paper tray size adjuster doesn't seem to want to slide to the letter size space. It's stuck at legal size. Other than that it's great. It was easy to set up. Works pretty fast once you get passed the above issues. Avyear of free ink was a nice bonus too

Setup took about thirty minutes, with only a little software hiccup that was easily corrected by restarting the printer. The instructions were easy to follow. The HP Smart app is convenient and easy to navigate. Prints are good, although the printer is a little sluggish to wake up. Pages print relatively quick. So far, I would recommend the HP OfficeJet Pro 8135e to a friend. I would not subscribe to the prints per month program.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this HP Office Jet Pro printer, it is really a pro as it prints like a pro! The print quality is great! I love the additional features that will allow me to scan and fax from my printer right at home. The scan tray can take several papers at a time, and I like the tedious process of using a scan app on my phone, where I have to scan one page at a time. I haven't used the fax feature yet, but I am certain it will come in handy when the need for faxing arises, and in the same way as the scan, I can upload multiple papers at a time for faxing and not one at a time. The printer is very compact, yet it has features that we had with our big printers at work. The setup part would have been awesome if not for the page alignment part that took forever. I had to turn off the printer after almost an hour of waiting before I was able to finish the setup. So if you run into any challenges similar to mine, I recommend simply turning it off and back on.

My previous HP printer was smaller, and I often need to scan a large amount of paperwork at once, so I really like having the automatic document feeder on this one. The printer is very good . We have a small business and it operates well for the needs. The Texh team were also very helpful in sorting a few issues out . I have put 4 stars due to the let down by HP in supplying ink . This is the 2nd printer we have had with ink and the same old failure , which HP Just won't listen to . They leave it far too late so send ink . So I had to go and buy ink as once again not sent in an appropriate manner . HP when will you learn .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design of this printer once taken out of the box is breathtaking. It is a pretty big printer to be fair, but it is sleek as well. It comes with 3 months of free ink and cartridges in the box which is perfect to get going right after unboxing it. I loke the fact that it has both wireless and USB option so that I can wire my computer which won't take wireless connections for some reason. In my opinion, the touch screen was the coolest feature. This is the first touch screen I've seen on a printer. It works, and gives you options to choose from. Those options are: copy, scan, and fax which is unique. It can also hold 60 sheets of paper on the tray which you don't have to worry about filling too often. Lastly, the speed of the printer for any of the functions is very good. It scans documents very fast. Overall, as a professional printer. It doesn't get better than this.

Good little printer that connects easily to mobile devices via a QR Code, but can be quite cluncky when connecting to wireless desktops etc. The scanner also seems to come up twice on the scanning software with only one of them working for some reason. But once the teething problems are over it's not a bad printer for the price.Hopefully it last as long as my last one about 12 years

The ability to copy, print, scan, and save to file from my phone and also the HP app is a real benefit to me. Managing it all is very simple with the app and having a plan for ink replacement saves me waiting to get the right ink when it's needed.\nI can see how much ink is left, how many pages I have printed and review pages for editing for clarity and capture of all of the page before saving them and later emailing if needed. \nThis all in one device and app has saved me multiple trips to other places to get documents processed. I don't use the fax function currently however I believe it would be just as helpful and useful if I needed to use it.\nIt is not an expensive machine and with double-sided paper feeding and a good size paper tray it does everything I need.\nI am very happy with my purchase and recommend this item.

Set up for wireless printing was difficult between the Smart Printer and my internet. I was finally able to manually connect.\nPrint quality is acceptable and the color for pictures was very good.\nThe control is difficult to operate with a person with large fingers. Thank goodness that the panel tilts to allow easier reading for a lower cabinet installation. The screen needs to be larger to allow better readability and operation. It is barely acceptable but I will make it work\nThe output tray is not acceptable. The right hand release button has fallen out 4 times and is not easy to reinstall. I have elected to leave it out and that is working ok, but poor quality here.\nAfter I changed paper size for photos, I changed the smart printer on my computer to the new 5x7 size. The printer notified me that I had a paper mismatch. I then adjusted the size on the control panel and tried to reprint. It again notified me that I had a paper mismatch. I pressed the print button on the control and it overcame the notification. This is not right!\nOverall, I do not recommend this printer. I have had HP printers for 30 years and this is the poorest one of them all.

I love the vivid colors, perfect black and white, double sided printing, wifi/Bluetooth connection, and scanner. Very easy to set up with your phone and I love they saved paper by doing the setup that way. It probably only took me 20 mins to set up the printer with my phone, desktop, and set up my ink program. After that I think I tried out all the color settings and then even tried the double sided print. I also used both my computer and phone to print to check the settings. Both turned out great. It is a bit bigger than my last printer, but not huge. Can easily be stored on my desk side. All in all, everything was perfect and I couldn't ask for a better printer!

Super easy setup and easy integration with the HP smart print app. Making wireless printing a breeze. The printer does use a lot of ink so if you are someone who will be doing a good amount of printing, I highly suggest subscribing to HP instant ink. It's worth it if you're a heavy printer. The cost of cartridges is outrageous. The printer quality is excellent, print speed is great overall as well. The printer also functions as a copier and scanner which comes in handy from time to time. Overall, I am very pleased with this printer and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a printer.

I actually printed the same thing from a different computer using another printer, and the colors on the 8139 were noticeably more accurate and vibrant. That was probably my favorite surprise.\nIt took me a little bit to get the Wi-Fi connected, but I realized I needed to move it closer to my router. Once I did, it has worked fantastic and stayed connected. I also love being able to print from my phone, especially when I'm busy and don't want to mess with transferring files to my computer.\nSo far, it's been a great printer for everyday printing, school/work documents, and especially anything where I want the colors to look good. I'm really happy with it!

Miss my old 8600

My all in one 8600 that I had for about 12 years I was told finally went bad. I need a new printer like a copy, scan and fax. So I decided on this model. Set up was easy but during the process of setting up, I noticed several things that I just didn't like. My old 8600 HP was constructing a whole lot better the paper feeder tray is plastic. I tried to print an envelope, but it got jammed . It doesn't feed envelopes until the system. At the printing time, it's a whole lot slower than my old system. I wish everybody else has their own opinion I need a printer, so far this One is serving the purpose not that great, but serving the purpose

Paper holding tray not very...

Paper holding tray not very sturdy. Mly previous Off Jet Pro o8o710 was much easier to pull out. It also had a slide inside the new paper holder that pushed against the paper to hold it in place. The touch screen takes several touches to respond and open then it take more multiple taps to get to open copy finally (Took me 9 taps) then you have to open document or id card. This is irritating when I'm needing something fast. Not what I had hoped for. I have owned 4 or 5 hp printers so not my first time around with them. I like the smaller size and it seems to print fairly fast once it gets going. Would not recommend it.

This printer is not as sturdy as my HP 8610 printer - which I used for eight years. Had I known the screen size was a little over two inches, I would not have bought this one. Tiny screens might work on cell phones, but when the printer is on a waist-high table, it is very difficult to type in codes. The length of my nails keeps me from being able to type in the codes; I tried using a stylus with a foam tip, but the screen did not recognize the touch of the stylus. Problem #2 - I cannot print envelopes yet and haven't had the time to call the tech team for help. #3 - I keep getting notices that the tray is out of paper, or that the wrong size/type of paper is in the tray. It was not out of paper, nor was the paper the incorrect type or size for what I wanted to print. #4 - When I tried printing color pictures from my laptop, only the 1st picture came out okay. The next ones were a blurry streak of colors. #5 - There is not a simple, easy way to make a copy. You have to press several places on the screen to do that. Why isn't "print on one side" the default? I keep forgetting to change the setting.

The Hp person I talked to said this printer would fit my needs. My initial cartridges ran out in 3 weeks. I had a page wide pro before and it would print on anything and I really liked the ways the trays were set up with the bypass tray for all photo papers and card stock, etc. This printer does not print the reds as well and I find the paper tray to be very awkward as I use a lot of different paper types and if you don't have the right one selected, you get distorted prints. The reds are not the best. I wouldn't buy it again, but since I have it, I'll use it and either learn to like it or buy a different printer.

We have two small home businesses, one being a cardio workout, the other, carpet installation (also a cardio workout). \n\nWe haven't had a home computer in quite some time now so when I saw this, I had to jump on it! \n\nThis printer was so easy to set up. Literally just plug it in and go. Ok, so there was a little more to it than that, but easy peasy. My favorite is that there is "an app for that"! Yup! You can use the printer from your phone, anywhere! I tried to print something from my desk at work to my home, and it printed just fine! \n\nI would highly recommend this printer to anyone,..... and I have!
