I've owned many different brands of cellphones. Samsung, LG, Motorola. And all high end models.\n\nThe Google Pixel has exceeded all my expectations. The phone is fast. The screen quality is excellent. The rear camera has more functionality than most users will ever need or use. The picture quality is excellent. The selfie camera isn't the best. But it's not the worst either.\n\nI purchased the Pixel 8 Pro. Because I believe brand new models are grossly overpriced. Particularly because most newly added features provide only marginal improvement over prior models.\n\nUsing the stock Android OS is a far better experience than the "proprietary" experience you get with name brand "upgrades" like Bixby.

I had some struggles at first with trying to organize apps because it's definitely different than other galaxy phones and iPhones. The camera is definitely the best feature of this phone! The zoom and quality is so amazing. My absolute favorite feature I've ever used on any phone is the Best Take feature! Basically you take a few pictures as usual but if no one was looking at the camera except one person in one shot and that person wasn't looking in the next shot but everyone else is- it will merge the pics for you. Instant photoshop without the monthly fee.

Aside from the camera aspect, this phone offers reliable software and hardware. My only gripe is that the battery life is not as great as I would hope a new phone to be. I find myself charging it more often than my previous smart phone which is why my final review stands at 4 stars. Overall, the Pixel 8 is a stunning phone and hope they can optimize the battery life in the near future.

awesome phone quality pictures much faster than 7 and keeps cool also no complaints here on my part love my new phone do not really game on my cellphone but definitely order things, listen to music, read the news watch a little of YouTube and last all day and some!!! Love what Google is doing with Android keep it up. Never been a fan of the fruit phone.

I recently upgraded to a Pixel 8 Pro from the Pixel 5a, and I'm extremely satisfied.\n\nPros:\n- To start, I've found the battery life is phenomenal, easily lasting through the day if you aren't constantly streaming video, and otherwise going strong for around 13 hours of on and off browsing, video playback, and even a bit of gaming.\n- The cameras are great, especially the main sensor, and it is nice to have a telephoto, even if it is fixed optically.\n- The screen is very crisp, bright, and responsive. Having a higher refresh rate is noticeable and very nice coming from devices that are fixed at 60Hz.\n- The fit and finish is very refined, down to tactile buttons and outstanding haptics.\n\nCons:\n- The telephoto is fixed at 5x optical zoom, and seems to be a lower-quality camera overall compared to the main Ix sensor. Both are rather disappointing considering one of the main draws to the Pro model is the telephoto camera.\n-The specific model I purchased only had 128GB of internal storage, which happens to be the most common option available. Having expandable storage would be excellent, but that unfortunately is not present here.\n- Coming from a phone with a 3.5mm aux port, the lack of one is, in my opinion, a shame considering the cost of the phone.\n- Definitely isn't the lightest phone there is at around seven and a half ounces, but being a flagship, that isn't too surprising.\n\nOther factors to consider:\n- The price on a used 8 Pro seems to currently hover between $360 and $450 USD depending on the seller and storage, which is far more affordable than it's MSRP.\n- The 6.7 inch screen is both extraordinary for viewing and simultaneously rather large in the hand, especially with a case.\n- The specific model I purchased is in the "Bay" color, which may be an acquired taste for some, but there are other options. (Price seems to be arbitrarily higher for the less flamboyant colors, though.)\n- This phone, along with the rest of the Pixel line, is one of the best options for custom ROMs, such as Graphene OS and Lineage OS, so if you want to dabble in that, this is the phone to do it on.\n\nAll in all, a very well-rounded device. I would highly recommend.
