The 2020 MacBook Air M1 is super fast and has a great vivid display. I switched to it after using a HP 15" laptop for quite some time. After getting used to the Apple keyboard shortcuts, the Safari browser, and the difference in saving files, I love it. All of the apps from your iPhone or iPad are on here already such as messages and music. The trackpad is the easiest I've ever used. I still used Windows PCs at work for my desktops. I bought a storage bag for it on Amazon for around $32 and a case for it. The structure of the MacBook Air is very thin and sharp so a case around it makes it way more comfortable for using in your lap on the couch. The M1 is 5 years old but feels light years ahead of anything else I've used. I can imagine that the M4 is amazing(I would recommend going for the newer one due to the length of updates from Apple). The M1 should be updated until 2027 according to various sources I've read. If you wanted a MacBook so you can have GarageBand on a laptop instead of your phone or iPad, note that the Smart Drums available on the iPad or iPhone app aren't available on GarageBand for Macbook. You have to use the loop browser for samples and copy and paste them in to a track. There are built in smart drummers that you can't actually record with but you can use them for rhythms. That was a huge disappointment but nothing a novice home recorder can't live with. The start speed of the computer is phenomenal. The Safari web browser is great but you'll need to add the home button and bookmarks icons to your browser(just a quick search will work for you). The built in Stocks and News apps are very useful. Try one! At $400 cheaper than the cheapest M4 version, it is well worth it in my opinion. No complaints!

I'm not going to make the ram argument here; I just know I'm a fairly heavy user and I have no problems whatsoever with 8gbs of ram. It really is enough and there is memory swap that works perfectly as a counter if you are to for some reason exceed your regular 8gbs. I love this Macbook Air M1. I had one in the past with 16gbs and sold it because it was overkill for the price. Now that I just spent less than half with what feels like the same product in usage, I'd recommend this laptop to anybody. Especially windows users. Heck anybody looking for a laptop that you aren't going to be playing games on. For that I recommend a desktop anyways so yeah, this laptop and price is unbeatable. Mine came just like it was from apple, brand new the battery was completely dead which tells me it was sitting around for a while but I do have the chance to get apple care withing 60 days so I may or may not pull the trigger but regardless the 1 year warranty should suffice as am careful with things and if anything goes wrong it won't be my fault.\n\nBut really guys and girls, this is a 10/10 price value experience, you won't find another device that matches this for $699. It really is the sweet spot. Plus, this M1 chip is fire, they really outdid themselves. Stays completely cool, battery lasts like 12 hours, I could go on, but I feel like I'm putting myself to sleep here just saying the same thing over and over again in different ways.

I own two Mac Airs. One from 2014 and this one. I would like to compare the two because I feel there are some features on the older version that are more desirable.
1. The Battery
The new Mac battery lasts forever and charges quickly with a USB-C port. I favor the older magnetic charger but that's a small thing.
2. Display
The new display is very clear however, the screen extends to the very edge of the device similar to the iPhone. So if you drop this device you're screwed. I dropped my 2014 and it dented the edge of the screen but didn't break the glass because of the extra aluminum edge. I don't think the new Mac screen would survive this.
3. The web cam
The 2014 is very dark for some reason. The new Mac seems to have fixed this issue with a nice and clear video.
4. USB ports
The 2014 has 2 USB-A ports, a lighting connection port, phone jack and an SDXC card slot
The new Mac only has two USB-C ports and a headphone jack! so you need a number of adapters to connect anything which is quite annoying especially since my wireless mouse uses an old USB-A. Apple only sells limited adapters so you need to buy PC adapters which I'm not crazy about. However I have a dual USB-A adapter from Dell that works great
5. The Chip
The M1 chip is lighting fast. Even though my 2014 has an 1.4 Ghz dual core I5, it doesn't compare.
6. The famous logo
It's another little thing but, I liked the illuminated apple logo on the back of the 2014. Maybe its no longer there to extend battery life? Idk but I thought it was a nice feature that separated apple from the rest.

I did a lot of research on which laptop would be the best one for me to use for college, and after looking at a sea of Windows laptops I settled on this M1 MacBook Air. Most Windows laptops that I looked at had pretty bad specs or were just too expensive for the hardware that they give you. I wanted a light laptop with good build quality and great battery life. This MacBook delivers on all fronts and at a decent price-point to boot. The battery life on this laptop is second to none, I have never had a windows laptop that could even come close. Also since this laptop is passively cooled it is light and completely silent. It may not be the best choice for intensive workloads but for my purposes of doing research and typing papers for school it's perfect. I also think that the screen quality on this MacBook is very good as well, it cannot compare to that of the MacBook Pro, but it is still far better than most other laptops and good enough for the average consumer. Overall, if you are looking for a laptop with amazing build quality, a good screen, and insane battery life then look no further than the M1 MacBook Air.

I recently bought the MacBook Air M1, base model. I am a programmer and I dedicate myself to making both mobile applications for Android and iOS, web applications and some game development with Unity. The use I give it is not exactly domestic. I have been able to have a node server running at the same time as Unity consuming information from the server, and it has no problems. I have also used Android and iOS emulators (which consume a lot) at the same time. The funny thing is that I bought it thinking of using it for a period of 6 months when the new MacBook Pro M2 Pro/Max comes out, and I think it will give up for the whole of 2023 without any problems. From what I'm having I don't think it's worth going to an M2 because the difference in power in the personal I don't think justifies the price. If you really need more power than the M1 can offer you with 16Gb of ram (I use 8 and it's impeccable), I highly recommend going for an M1 Pro. Greetings and I hope this can serve as a reference for other programmers who have doubts about the capabilities of this machine to work.

I absolutely LOVE this MacBook! This is my first MacBook and it’s the best decision I could have made to make the switch from a regular PC. I love that I’m able to view my data from all my Apple devices on my MacBook and I also really like that I can mirror my iPhone onto my MacBook and use my phone that way. I also like the fact that if I ever lose or break my phone, I have the option of still being able to contact my phone contacts through my MacBook. The colors are vivid and crystal clear which is absolutely amazing! Another feature it has that I am obsessed with is the fingerprint unlock feature. Just like the iPad and/or iPhone, this MacBook has a button that stores your fingerprint to be able to use it to unlock your MacBook without typing your password. The one downside I have seen is that there aren’t any USB-A ports, so you wouldn’t be able to plug in a USB or a normal wireless mouse. You wouldn’t have to get something that plugs in to a type-C port. Other than that, this is the perfect size, weight, and price for a first MacBook user!

Overall: A very good price for this model, and I'm really happy in the availability and speed at which I received my order after checkout. The M1 model is highly reviewed by a lot of trusted critics for just about every average user/consumer, even at the time of this writing. It's slim, lightweight, fast, has good software and excellent battery, which combine to make it a perfect choice for me (small business owner, light creative work %26 working from anywhere). As it's an older model, many stores won't have this available, and certainly not at this price-point. I'm really happy I made this decision, and Walmart knocked it out of the park by becoming a distributor at this price. If you're on the fence about this one, don't wait too long.

It’s Simple and does the job it’s supposed to do. I was a mostly a PC person, so getting used to the commands gets tricky, but I bought a shortcut sticker to help with that. I don’t perform a lot of tasks on it, other than wfh via a vpn. I have to use MS Teams messenger to communicate with team members, and screen sharing is clear. Using screenshare on my MacMini M1 isn’t clear. So odd. But there are no delays or lags and have no experienced any glitches. Sound is good. Watched a few streams and it’s crystal clear. I use it for hours so I have to charge it every so often after 6 hours or so. It’s light weight and easy to carry in my shoulder purse. I love that this will last me for quite sometime. I bought a case cover and a keyboard cover.

Loooveee my MacBook!! Mine is silver but I bought this one in “gold” for my cousin, because the gold looks more like a rose gold pinky color. Love mine so much, and she loves hers. It takes like a whole day or two for my computer to die after fully charging it which is great, because I use the computer a lot for work. I work from home and in office, while also doing my personal projects on it too and it's perfect for everything. Plus it's Apple, so you get to use it interchangeably with your iPhone. (My phone died once and I left my charger at my boyfriends, so I FaceTimed him through my computer to ask to pick it up at 1am the night before I had to go to work. Saved me!)

I have wanted a MacBook for awhile. But I couldn't afford one as they usually are very expensive. I definitely couldn't afford a brand brand now one. This might be a generation or two behind but it is a great computer and it was new not refurbished. And the battery life is amazing. My friend who is knowledgeable about Apple products said it was a good deal so I got it. And he was right I love it. The only thing I wish is that it was a touch screen. Lol I keep trying to use it as a touchscreen but it isn't. Definitely would recommend especially if your like me and can't afford a new new one way over $1000, since this was $699

I am new to MacBook but not to Apple. I was worried about ease of use because I’ve always owned windows computers so I contemplated switching over. I made the best decision ever! The MacBook 2020 M1 version arrived brand new in the box with absolutely no issues! I am over the moon about this MacBook and absolutely happy with my purchase. I will purchase from this seller again in the future as I am planning on buying a MacBook for my daughter in the next few months for college. There are no issues the MacBook and I was able to purchase Apple Care with no issues. Hopefully this seller still has this MacBook in a couple months. With the M1 chip this MacBook is incredibly fast. It has the Touch ID and the keys are backlit. The keyboard model is A2337.

I bought this online in “Open box” condition meaning the display model. It was described as being on excellent condition and all in all I ended up paying around $970 for it after taxes and fees. When I first received the laptop I was immediately in awe of its beauty (I bought the rose gold version) However upon trying to set up the laptop and gain access into it I ran into a bunch of issues which required me to contact Apple support. Best Buy had not done a software reset on the laptop before shipping it to me which resulted in me not being able to log in or set up my password. It was only after 2 days of receiving it that Apple finally pin pointed the issue and was able to walk me through doing a complete reset thereby allowing me to finally gain access into my laptop! Ever since then I’ve been in love with it! My only small complaint would be that I have to buy an adapter now to be able to connect my phone to it, other than that this was a great buy!

The new Apple M1 chip is AMAZING. This new MacBook Air is so powerful for the price and incredibly thin and light design. I just switched back over from Windows, and this new MacBook Air is miles faster and fluid. I can put the new Air under a heavy workload and it handles it just fine- even with no fan! Apple was able to make the thermal efficiency so good, that it’s able to handle hours of work without the fan. Great battery life, great screen, great processor, great design. Overall, I love the new MacBook Air!

i went with a macbook, as a long time windows user. it does take a little getting used to but is actually pretty easy to use. there are helpful videos to help out with a transitioning windows user. i love the color gold, more of a rose gold, even prettier in person. the display is also quite nice. its not the latest model but its a big upgrade for me coming from an 8 year old computer. its quite travel friendly and i do travel for work so this is nice as well. love the compact design.

It felt heavy in the box but was actually quite lightweight and thin. Stays charged for longer than I would expect compared I leave several windows open and play games and surf the web at the same time. This is my first Mac although I do have an iPhone, so far it has been very explanatory on set up and how to use. It also not only included the “c” to “c” cord it actually included the wall box to plug it into which most items only have the cord.

I had an older Mac Air that the OS became obsolete. TurboTax wouldn't run on it…lol. Don't know what I waited so long for. This thing while a basic Mac air has improved over the years. Screen size is comparable but the overall size is more compact and a great screen, speed, and overall specs for $699 couldn't be beat. So this Dad had to upgrade the Air. At this price pick one up you won't be disappointed.

I love this little Mac book. It's my first one and I couldn't be happier. I already have an iPhone so it's easy to use for me. I love the color I got it's the gold color but it's more like a pink color it matches my iPhone desert rose color. Love it! There is also an iPhone mirror feature which is pretty neat too! Apple lovers you got get this deal before they run out. I know it's four years old model wise but it still delivers a healthy punch. M1 compare to M4 latest model only if you're a connoisseur of products. I use mines for music engineering and already upload the programs to proceed. I have the right attachment to add extra USB/HDMI/compatible accessories. What I do not like is only two ports “C” and the 13” size can be a problem as you progress but I have two other Mac's for business, and iPads for storage. I like the color scheme even if it favors the pink color it blends in well with all other setups. My MacBook is only used for music in this station setup and I know I will make it last as long as I can knowing the value of Apple until that new feature product comes out.

In 2025 this, in my opinion, is by far the best laptop option for anybody who doesn't need a huge amount of power, and if you're ok with the smaller screen size. The M1 is still more than enough power for MOST people. The fanless design is great for working on your lap, it's quiet, the screen is great, and all of that for $600 (as of August 2025)? Absolute no brainer.

Love this laptop! I had an early 2015 MacBook Air and I absolutely loved it, I had no problems with it whatsoever. I was going back and forth between this mac and the newer one, however decided to go with this one because of the rose gold tint to the gold color. Really great laptop! My older MacBook stopped working, and the initial set up was extremely simple, the keyboard is really nice, the screen is really high definition, perfect for streaming and movies. I love how reliable it is, the OS is very smooth and snappy. Will eventually get an M4 once the price comes down.
