I only got the 1997 edition PS1 when I was 15 years old. I have a PS3 which now I discovered can play all PS1 games but they are emulated so I decided to buy PS1 games but I found out some games the CD can’t repeat the songs especially in Duke Nukem Total Meltdown. I needed to buy original hardware and why not with the mini PSone with the LCD. I was shocked after 20 years this LCD looks good. It can change contrast in viewing angles. It has great color for that mini LCD but I wish the LCD was at least 7 inch bigger since 5 inches is too small. I am almost 40 so the screen is too small for me. It has great sound also which I’m shock but don’t blast it since it can blow out a speaker and crack the sound. Should have come with the PSC box, and a ok product with some “Interesting” games

The ps1 works excellent as well one of the controllers really amazing how the condition is for the console, but I will say one of the controllers we are not sure if they work or not cause we did try to use it on games we have but it just wouldn’t do anything. The controller I’m referring to is the one with the joysticks, but we plan on buying a ps2 and maybe see if the controller works for that console and it’s just doesn’t work for the ps1. I know this is a really late review, especially considering I bought it just after Christmas, but having just reviewed the Sega Genesis Mini, I was reminded about my purchase of this piece of... plastic. \nWhat hasn't been said already? Strange pick of games (a few gems here like Rayman), half of them run on European PAL 50Hz instead of American NTSC 60Hz, no included AC adapter, terrible emulator, and games included that really need the Dual Shock controller to enjoy, like Metal Gear Solid. The game select screen is a mess. Not many options unless you can find a USB keyboard that can access all the hidden options like changing all the games back to NTSC. I'm not sure what Sony was thinking, other than trying to quickly and cheaply capitalize on Nintendo's success. Instead of Crash, Spyro, or Tomb Raider, you get.. Destruction Derby? Cool Boarders 2? Jumping Flash!? Just no! No! NO!!!

Console works. The lid latch is a little loose and doesn’t always stay closed properly, but can be held down by sitting an object on top of it. The controller has something wrong with it so that it constantly glitches a game when plugged in. The memory card worked briefly but stopped being readable the next day. But I was able to play my old childhood games and my kid is enjoying playing some too, so I’m happy about that! Console works. If you Played PS1 and the PS2 back in day you’ll love this Small Miniature Console. Comes with 2 Controllers along with a handful of Pre-Installed Games that we’re Hits back then. Also I’m sure you all remember the Memory Cards that costed if I remember correctly a decent amount an here we are in 2019 with GBs of memory and back then they were only 32MB Memory Cards. This comes with its own built in Memory so no Memory Cards that you'll have to worry about whatsoever. The PSOne has issues with the lid closing and the controller is not detected unless it is taken out and put back in a few times, but it does eventually work. The system itself works fine and the games run without issue. This mini classic has been reviewed more times than you can count..it's often criticized especially by Americans for its PAL region games that run a bit slower than NTSC they're used to..often sold there for a fraction of the list price..here in EU countries we don't get the supplies so we're more likely to be grateful to buy one at all..but I can find no reason to complain..the built in games play just as we remember in the late 90's before PS2 took over..of the 20 games in it a few you won't play but there's at least 15 great titles you will..and there's add-on USB plug and play flashdrives for a hundred more games if you want to spend another 20 dollars or so..just don't tell Sony..

Wow, I remember when I first played the Playstation and I thought, wow! Look at how real the graphics are! Now not so much, but I still love this system and remember it fondly. I still had some old games so I bought this portable version of the original playstation. I was not prepared for it's actual size! It is so tiny! I can have this anywhere I go. I also bought the lcd screen separately. This item is an awesome unit to just bring with me where ever I go. My bedroom, my game room, the airport (as long as I am near a power plug). Really anywhere I go where I want to play my nostalgic games!

You think the snes classic was good, heck you think the nes classic was good. Heck no, nothing compare to the playstation classic. With autobleem, A easy way to have a 500 plus ps1 classic titles plus snes, NES, gba, gb, gbc, Sega genesis, neo geo, plus all arcades. Wow, I can go on and on. But, for $20.00, who wouldn't to buy it. It's like its for free. It plays way better than the pi3b+. About the same like the odroid xu4. The best classic ever. Plus on a 2.0 256gb usb. Even better. The usb cost more than the playstation classic.

Works as intended, and then some. Easily modified for more games if need be. Unit itself works well, but seems to be a little picky about its power source. I was hoping the USB port on my TV would be enough to power it (like it does my Raspberry Pi) but the Playstation Classic seems to require a little more power. Overall, not a bad use of $29

What the PSX lacks in graphics and power, it makes up for in music, sheer number of purchasable games, and a vast option of peripherals such as arcade joysticks, flight sticks and analog controllers. For someone that played the PSX as a teenager, this is a nice, affordable blast from the past. Enjoyable for solo and multiplayer experiences.

Was expecting a PS1 with a noisy laser unit, what I ended up with seems to be a fully functional PS1 with no issues!
