It also gets brighter than previous models making for working in brighter environments easier. Great real estate for video and photo editors as well.\n\n- Speakers are some of the best built-in laptop speakers. Loud and clear at any volume with great bass and instrument separation. Decent for music producers in a pinch.\n\n- MagSafe along with multiple USB-C thunderbolt ports, SD Card reader, and HDMI Port allows for multiple accessories to be used without needing an external hub.\n\n- M3 Pro processor is great for most creative and power users. My First MacBook Pro M2\n\nThe MacBook Pro is a dream. I also have a Dell 2-in-1 that I purchased back in 2018 (that machine is beauty itself) but man, it kinda pales in comparison.\n\nFor me it's the engineering of the body, the keyboard and the trackpad (large by the way), the bassy click when you press it down, how smooth the laptop feels to rest my palm on it - everything is so smooth, solid and authentic. I was introduced to the MacBook Pro back in 2008 when I got my (then) girlfriend one and I loved it at that time too. \n\nInitially, being that this is MY first MacBook, I was thinking "What will I actually use this for? My Dell does most of my tasks." Now? Well it's the other way around, I'm wondering what I'll use my Dell 2-in-1 for lol. For example, I used Microsoft Excel extensively on my Dell, but it just feels better and is more efficient on the MacBook Pro. There is a grace with which the applications like Excel and Microsoft Word run on this machine. \n\nOverall, it’s just great. \n\nWhat I really like...\n-The Macbook's body construction and the feel of it in general on the hands\n-It's pretty quick, handles multiple windows/apps with ease\n-Large screen size helps alot\n-The multi-gesture feature of the trackpad (I've always loved this about Macs)\n-It has 3 ThunderBolt ports (helpful for charging the iphone or connecting external monitors, etc.)\n-So much more\n\nWhat I don't like?\n-Nothing (I’ve only had it for about 4 months or so, maybe I’ll find something eventually. I am a 50 year old IT pro who also is into gaming, so up until now I have always rolled with a gaming laptop (Windows) - going back 20 years. As I have gotten older, I game less and less on the go, and I became sick of dealing with laptops that sound like a jet engine whenever you do anything remotely demanding. After reading about the success and excellence of the new Apple silicon, I decided to take the plunge into Mac-land, and I can honestly say I will never go back to a PC-based laptop again.\n\nWith this MacBook, I can actually use it on my lap (gasp!) without blocking a fan or burning my legs. It barely gets warm. The screen is gorgeous, and the sound is unlike anything I have heard from a laptop. I have yet to hear the fans turn on either. It is dead silent.\n\nIt does have some games that will run just fine on it, including one of my favorites - Rimworld. I also fired up some Divinity Original Sin II and that runs great as well.\n\nBattery life is also fantastic. I can use it casually for a couple of days before I need to charge it.\n\nI've seen some people say this is a little heavy for traveling, but I used to lug around a 15 lb (including power brick) gaming laptop so this thing is light as a feather by comparison, and it doesn't need to be plugged in all the time to do things.\n\nFor those coming from PC, yes there is a learning curve, but it isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. All in all I have no regrets converting to MacOS and I see this MacBook Pro lasting for many years. It just blows away anything I have ever used and it is not even close.

As an avid Apple user of all products for 20 years, this specific laptop is very fast loading, especially when using a lot of applications at the same time (as I use this primarily for work). Also, I rarely have to recharge or keep the charger plugged in...even with so many applications open and running. This is perfect for me as I sit and use it in multiple places/areas. I love the large 16" screen compared to my previous 15" screen. Almost the entire screen/display covers the full 16." The touch pad is LARGE--making it much easier to use when I'm not using a connected mouse--to right click, left click, drag, etc. See picture. Loud speakers! Great for watching videos, listening to anything. The amount of memory and storage for the price is incredible as I have A LOT of documents, applications, photos, videos, stored on the computer itself rather than having to "save things" to an Cloud and/or not having to go to the Cloud or a USB drive, and the computer still loads programs, uploads and downloads things very quickly! Highly recommend!

I've been a MacBook user for over a decade and love them. This was an upgrade purchase, going from a 13" to a 16" screen. I was a great purchase, the only two things I would change is the weight of the MacBook Pro is significantly more and I wish that apple would get with the program and make it a touch screen. Other than that, it's a solid fast laptop with amazing battery life. I went further to protect my investment by buying a hard shell cover for it. It's worth it if you're like me and drop it by accident. The other great thing about Macs is that they have a better resale/trade in value. Every penny counts when you're trying to buy a $2500 laptop. I got an amazing deal at BestBuy by joining the the Best Buy Plus membership. Got an extra $200 on top of the $500 being offered.

A powerful machine with the Apple M2 Pro silicon chip is great for power users also excels at multitasking as well as multimedia creation. Apple M2 Pro 19-core GPU gives a very Fast display also excellent for High performance gaming. I love the increase in size from my old 15 inch MacBook Pro now at 16.2 inches\nScreen size and a resolution of 3456 x 2234. This beast screens with app windows opening almost instantly. The battery life is great up to 22 hours in average use. And with 3 thunderbolt 4 ports I get fast connections for perhipherals like external HD and SSD as well as many other devices. My backups now screen with a SSD drive attached. A very solid and well built backlit keyboard that is going to give me a long life I believe.

Although the 2023 14 and 16 inch M2 MacBook Pros offer incremental performance improvement over the M1 Pro and M1 Max, I would highly recommend this MacBook to anyone who is in need of incredible performance and battery life. If you are planning on running an extremely graphics intensive workload, you may benefit more from the M2 Max with the 38 core GPU. However, the 19 core GPU in the M2 Pro is still quite powerful and will be able to handle 4k 60fps rendering with no issue. For reference, I am upgrading from a 2020 M1 MacBook Pro. When editing and rendering in Final Cut Pro, the M2 Pro offers substantial performance increases and is definitely worth the upgrade. The ProMotion display is smooth and beautiful as well.

The most data intensive thing I've done so far is some photo editing, but it's incredibly fast and smooth. the screen is a dream and this 16" macbook pro is the same size as my old 15" 2015 machine. For ~£30 cheaper, it is so worth it. The box itself had quite a bit of wear and tear but that's fine as the box isn't the product. The only bit of visible use I could see if my headphones was on the mic mute button and it's not that bad. The actual headphones are absolutely top notch. There is a nice virtual surround and they sit on your head very comfortable. The microphone is really really bad however. It's fine for headset mic but nothing compared to even a usb mic. In conclusion, i highly recommend this as headphones but to not get this for a mic. Your much better off getting an external usb mic for half the price

This laptop is really nice, but if you use this for heavy work I would go with the 1tb model. The 512gb ssd is slower. it is still faster than most but about half the speed of the 1tb model. Other than that it is an amazing laptop. The screen is second to none. HDR video looks better than my Sony oled. I ended up swapping for the M2 1tb model. If I could do it all over again, I would have bought the M1 Max model as they were discounted at the time. I do not think I will ever buy a windows laptop ever again. Mac is just better in my opinion. You will not be disappointed with any of the MacBook Pro models

I do a lot of mobile video editing and can say I am truly impressed. I have never felt confident editing on just battery power before but this computer doesn't even break a sweat. My old 2019 i9 MacBook pro would sound like a jet taking off just opening a Chrome tab and the battery did not last nearly as long. I use Adobe Premiere and it seems to run a lot better than it does on my PC. I think one of my favorite things about this computer is how fast it wakes from sleep and the battery doesn't really drain when you have the lid closed and computer packed away. Read More
