First, I have a hearing problem, which is why I wanted these headphones. They are a huge help with\nTV listening for me. I have another set also wireless (different brand) that I have used for a number\nof years. These Sennheiser RS 175 are a better clarity in voice for me than my old set. The one complaint about these would be they are very tight fitting and after about 45-60 minutes of waring\ndo become uncomfortable, though the material around the ear pieces is very nice.

The newer design and charger stand are a step forward with improved charging indicators Ann more comfortable headphones.\nThe one drawback is the Wi-Fi range. It is much reduced from the older version, my partner who used it could go halfway down the garden to hang washing (20 mts) but the new system is half that!\nHowever in general use extremely happy

Purchased after reading review in "WHICH" and recommended as a best buy. Easy to set up for TV listening and good quality sound experience. Pleased I bought them , and at a good price.

I wasn't expecting the world when I saw these advertised. I can't have my surround sound too loud or the neighbors will complain so I wanted something that had surround sound. Well the Sennheiser name is good in the headphone world so I went ahead and bought them. The headphones have a setting for the bass and a setting for the surround sound. The surround sound setting has two levels, moderate and full. Honestly it works pretty well. The vocals are forward so you can hear the dialogue while the ambient sound does surround you. It's a pass through so you do have to mute the volume on the tv or the receiver. It comes with a 3.5 MM port as well if you need to do analog. I haven't tested the range on the headphones but I really don't wander from the couch if I'm watching a movie. Overall I recommend these if you want to watch TV without rattling the windows and annoying the neighbors. Also if you're hard of hearing the headphones do a good job of isolating the dialogue so that would probably help. Is it a 5 star product.. no but a good solid 4 star. Read Less

These headphones are HEAVY. Ear muffs are about 2” thick and have plastic encasing the entire backside. If weight isn't a concern for you then these headphones will probably work. They were easy to set up and sound quality is good. I would not buy again because of the weight. There are lighter ones on the market

I bought these headsets to replace a pair of Sennheiser RS120's. The RS175's are better in every way. They feel better, have a nicer design, have more functions and are much easier to adjust - overall much better than the cheaper model. \n\nThe cushions on the RS175 are around the ear (vs the RS120 - on the ear) and I've work them for hours gaming w/o any complaints. Another nice feature by comparison is that when you take a break the RS120's would always "Time Out" and I'd get blasted with "Static"...the RS175's don't do that, they just stay silent - nice. Another better design feature for the extra cost is that the volume control is more accurate and easier to control. PLUS there is no "TUNING" the RS175 to the frequency of the base charger - it is always on frequency with the charging base. By comparison, the RS120 would tune off the frequency nearly every time I put the headsets on my neck or head when doing something else - so yea, excellent feature. \n\nAnd most important the sound is clear and more robust on the RS175's plus they have a bass and surround sound features which both work well. The surround sound does NOT work with gaming since it creates a field of sound that doesn't let you distinguish where someone is walking in the game...but it's easily disabled. That said the bass and surround work great for watching TV, a much richer sound than the RS120. All all around these are much better headsets for watching TV and gaming (although they do not have a mic). Other than that, I would recommend their build quality, looks, features and sound...no negatives.

I have had a pair of these for over 4 years.The sound quality is exeptional. However. I am disgusted with Sennheiser for the awful quality of the pads. The material disintegrates FAR too easily for a product of such reverence. There are many other makes out there, who provide much better quality to these items, which are as important as the audio, comfort is a major issue here. Guys, you can do so much better. Therefore, I can only award two stars. Oh and the replacements are too overpriced !

Let me preface this review by saying we've owned two pairs of Sennheiser wireless rechargeable headphones that worked brilliantly. The most recent pair prior to this one was broken by my father's significant other the night The Donald was elected president the first time. Sarah Paulson on American Horror Story had a similar though less violent reaction. Anyhow, I first connected these to a Sony 77" OLED via the optical input. Then wait for them to charge for 16 hours which is an issue in and of itself. All the settings on the TV were correct because these were replacing Avantree headphones connected in the exact same fashion. They were dual headsets with excellent sound quality but they both broke in the exact same place so they were comparatively flimsy. The bottom line is these crackled and the sound dropped out every few seconds right from the get go. To make sure it was not interference causing the issue (the wireless router is in the vicinity) I connected them to a 65" Lg OLED via the optical in another room and got the same result. DEFECTIVE. I am sending them back. The packaging is outstanding though!

These would even work outside the house for some distance. The only reason im giving it a low rating is because with the amount of money you spend on this product you expect it to work properly however the right headphones audio is not functioning properly and is definitely lower the left's is and its very off putting.

Very nice sound with a good bass and clarity, Nice noise cancel as you do not hear outside noise. Excellent pair of headphones. Very easy to follow instructions, subsequently setup was a doddle. The sound is very good and the recharging of headphone batteries is faultless. Product has simple basic functions. Setup was easy, product quality is good Headset is well built and the remote range is very good in open space.
