[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everyone knows Delonghi from their Superb coffee makers. They're unbeatable in the field and anyone that's owned one, takes delight in explaining their almost indescribable superiority that usually just ends in the word “Yummm.” So, being in the market for an air fryer, I figured I couldn't be too off the mark with a Delonghi. \r\n My expectations were guardingly minimal – I wanted what most people want from an air frier: even cooking (so that half my batch of chicken doesn't resemble weathered leather) and a large capacity (so I'm not constantly having to run over and do the irritating “fry shake” in the quest for the crispy fry.) Does this 24L Livenza Delonghi do that? Giant Yes, but so much so it left me redefining how I use a countertop oven. We do a ton of cooking, so of course early on we invested in a high-end gas oven. Why would I bother using this instead then, right? I plopped a batch of cookies in there just to try (I mean it has an automated “cookie” setting, how could I resist?) I was genuinely shocked, they came out faster (super quick preheat,) more evenly cooked, and even rose higher than my giant gas oven. The cookies raising higher was super strange, so I had to look that one up and yes, they say more superior convection settings can produce more rounded, superior cookies. Although I shed a tear for my great huge gas oven, the cookies are now being made in this Livenza – it even cooks full batches with the double rack setting. \r\n Cookies were superior, Chicken was super tender and even as well. I even happily got to retire my messy “fry basket shaking” dance – this fits a big tray of fries so that you can single layer them AND even add a second tray to a load if you need more, but I doubt you will. I'm a health nut that also loves air fried kale which is normally quite challenging but this oven even gave me crunchy kale crisps – Crispy Everything. \r\n The only thing that stumped me for a moment was that in the quick guide, there is a misprint where they wrote “cookie” setting for poultry when they meant “convection” but was very easy to figure out and I'm sure new copies will be printed correctly (see my picture with it corrected.) The main instruction book was correct. Other than that, the only human error issue I had was forgetting to set it for 2 trays instead of 1 a few times which I blame my hunger for rushing :) (It will say 1tr or 2 tr on the bottom of the display.) \r\n\r\n I must admit my family and I are completely addicted to this machine now. It's even incredibly easy to clean with an easy access removable crumb tray and well-made non-stick pizza pan and bake pan. In fact, knowing what I know now, I would've even just gotten this machine for how perfectly it does pizza! Frozen is of course a breeze, but it facilitates freshly made pizza that even the kids can follow (it will prompt you to add your ingredients after it cooks the crust a bit, etc.) Family pizza nights have been tastier, healthier and more creative. I know this is all a bit much to toot an air frier, but I'm telling you, it's so much more than that. Just like their super great beverage makers, this oven will leave you just saying “Yummm,” and perhaps, “is there anymore?”
