Added to a system with a Kenwood Excelon head unit (22w x4 RMS) driving four Sound Ordnance 5x7 speakers in a 2006 Ford Focus wagon. No additional amplifier for the main speakers. I have less than $500 into this system. With this sub added to the RCA outs, the overall sound is very surprising. Crossed over at 150Hz through the head unit which allows the door speakers to take care of only the mids & highs. The remote gain control was not installed, as the Kenwood will do that. I did have to run a remote turn on wire as the auto sensing feature was not working reliably. No noise or thumping on turn on. I was hesitant and skeptical of all the reviews to say the least... How could a small, inexpensive sub be as good as everyone says? Well, this thing is just fantastic. For way less than the price of a larger, more complicated setup this thing really pounds. After I hooked it up I was blown away at the sheer power of this little package. Super low tone, punchy, and plenty of volume. I've had upgraded sound systems in every single one of my cars over the last 17 years of driving so I have lots of experience. Very impressive 10" amped Beast by Rockford Fosgate. I've had systems in my rides for over 20 years with some top Brands: Image Dynamics ( my top choice), MTX, Kicker, Polk, Diamond Audio, JL Audio. This little speaker sounds great. Im very particular about music and its quality. First I purchased the MTX Roadthunder 8" powered subwoofer (not the tube) it wouldn't reproduce some bass notes, but when it overheated, I only had it a week and I replaced with this Punch speaker. Best move i could have made, I love it, perfect for my stock Volvo system. Now I wish i would have purchased the 12" Updated 4-17-20 This one overheats too. Had to replace it as well, redone my in entire systemThis little speaker sounds great. Im very particular about music and its quality. Sub quality is very good. Sounds great and hits hard. My son says it makes his eyes jiggle. Deep bass solid rumble. I wouldn’t say it is a dad sub but not a young man sub....just right. Great powered subwoofer! I installed in a 1970 C10 pickup. This amp drives the bass and is very crisp and punchy. Perfect fit for 2015-2021 ford F-150. I love it! Bought it for my Mazda RX-8, it sounds good, and perfect for my Bose factory sound system. It fits perfect in the trunk in the middle right up against the back seat with room in my trunk to spare, a big concern for us Mazda RX-8 owners. I will continue with my review for us RX-8 owners! This blends in very well with the system I have with many options for hook up. Right now I have it hook up to the left back speaker along with a Pac-line converter. I'm a little disappointed with that hook up, but it sounds good the installer told me he was going to tap in to the sub output from the Bose amplifier that runs into the front door subs??? But they did not! I will probably try to do it myself after some research. I need to know if that Bose amplifier in the trunk I see is connected to the front 9inch woofers in the doors, and center channel speaker, or do it powers the back speakers, or if the amplifiers are in the doors and they power the 9inch door speakers and center channel speaker. I recall reading before I think in a Mazda RX-8 thread that the amplifier for the door 9inh speakers are behind them? Then I will see if there is any difference. I think Rockford hit a home run for people who wants a clean all in one system with out the hassle of buying a amp. Mind in my RX-8 hits pretty hard for the type of music I listen to. Mostly tech house, club music, and of course true east coast rap.. I will also add yea you want hear this down the street, but most definitely in the car and you will feel it:), maybe about 20 feet away or so, but not miles away. I'm to old for that type of boom anyway this is for people who want a clean install with a little low end deep boom in the car to round out your most likely factory sound system. Anything else I'm not sure? Maybe the 12 would give you more range, but it to has only 300 watts of continuously power. Sense I don't own the 12 some one else would have to give there thought on it, but this 10 is perfect for me. I would buy it again hopes it holds up for some years.

Excellent sound and value. Easy to hook up, and remove if you need the space to haul something. I put in my 4Runner and absolutely love it. Nice tight bass w lots of adjustments- at the sub and the controller that’s included. No real good mount options is the only thing I would improve. Still a deal for an all in one setup. Buy it! You won’t be disappointed..
