This is a nicely designed dishwasher with lots of features. It has a third rack which can be used for silverware and utensils which could eliminate the need for the included silverware basket. I’ve owned a few dishwashers with a third rack but this is the first that has a height adjustment(left half only) to accommodate larger items. The middle rack also has height adjustments, rows of tines that can be flipped down, and stemware holders for wine glasses, etc.. It also connects via Wi-Fi to the LG ThinQ app which allows you to change settings or end of cycle tunes, download additional cycles that aren’t available directly on the control panel, and will alert you when the cycle is finished. It has a feature which pops the door open towards the end of the cycle to allow the steam to escape so your dishes will dry quicker. This is the second dishwasher I’ve owned with this feature and unfortunately it doesn’t work as well on the LG as it did on my previous brand. The dishes remain quite a bit wet. My biggest caveat- and this is why I didn’t give it 5 stars- is that’s it’s one of the least quiet dishwashers I’ve ever owned. I hear everything loud and clear, from it filling with water to the swishing of the spray arms. I know it has nothing to do with my installation or kitchen setup because my last dishwasher was very quiet. It has a light that projects on the floor to let you know that it’s running but I definitely know it’s running without the light. I even added extra insulation at the bottom behind my cabinet toe kick because there was extra space there, but that didn’t help.

This review is written for people that use heat dry for their dishwasher and don't "wash" their dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. I've had the LG now for a week and I'm really scratching my head trying to think who exactly is loving this machine. I'm just going to put what I'm really surprised about. The door never locks. I don't have children but if I did, this would worry me. Once the dishwasher cycle is completed it actually pops open the door about 2 inches. This allows more of the steam to escape and is part of the drying cycle. There is metal vinyl contact paper located in the user manual bag that needs to be installed for this little feature so the steam doesn't ruin the underside of the countertop.. There is a optional setting to keep the door closed, which I set up. Because I don't have the door popping open now, I can't use the "extra dry" option which according to the manual just uses hotter water on the rinse cycle. There is no element inside this dishwasher that engages any type of drying. I can't stress this enough. I rinse all my dishes to the point of being clean before I load them in the dishwasher. I'm just looking for the hot water and detergent to disinfect them. I had made tacos and the meat was in a plastic bowl. I noticed still some spice stains on the bowl but wanted to see how the dishwasher would do. I set it to heavy load and high temp. This was the first time in my life, I have opened a dishwasher after it's completed and smelled food. Like how the silicone ring on an instant pot seems to absorb the scent. Granted the stains were off the bowl now, but do I trust the cleaning since they were already clean? I don't. I have a water softener. I am not going to use a rinse aid. Having the rinse aid light flashing non stop is annoying. Without the rinse aid and with the softener I'm not getting spots. With as wet as the dishes are left after the "drying" cycle I can understand the need. I live in Florida. I can't wet stack dishes or bowls. Most Health inspections on restaurants ping them when they wet stack too. I have a rolling plastic cart, that I put the dishes in to dry. After reading the manual I see the Turbo cycle actually uses more water and more electricity. I don't know if that was suppose to be off-putting to me, but it wasn't. It just inspired some hope. I now run it on Turbo, High Heat. That cycle lasts 141 minutes, (I think 30 mins of that is pretending to dry). I don't smell food scent anymore. I guess the extra water has helped. I really like the little top drawer for measuring spoons and lids. I can't use the bottom silverware holder because my silverware doesn't fit in the slots. I just use my old silverware holder from my 1980's dishwasher that this LG may or may not replace. Because I still have my old dishwasher sitting in the kitchen since it was working well. I just thought perhaps coming into 21st century technology would wow me, and it surely HAS NOT. Energy efficiency shouldn't equate to putting it on the consumer to buy another product each month ie Rinse Aid and potentially wet stacking dishes. That's not technology, that's just going backwards in progress. Bottom line - 5 stars for the little top rack 1 star for making a dishwasher that doesn't even have the option to dry dishes quickly and efficiently and requires add ons. I've uploaded pictures to show how wet it is inside after running the cycle, not opening the door, and them sitting in there for 10 hrs.

We really want to love this dishwasher. Like, we were emotionally prepared to write it a thank-you note. But alas… it has a personality.\n\nLet’s start with the good: this thing is so quiet it’s borderline suspicious. I’ve checked on it multiple times just to make sure it didn’t quietly quit mid-cycle. The little end-of-cycle chime? Adorable. Very “I did my best, hope you’re proud of me.” It also looks sleek, modern, and somehow manages to repel fingerprints like it’s got trust issues. Respect.\n\nNow… the chaos.\n\nThe racks appear to have been designed by someone who has only ever seen dishes in theory. Standard dinner plates? Sure. Anything else—pasta bowls, serving dishes, your will to live? Good luck. It’s like playing a very frustrating game of Tetris where none of the pieces fit and you’re not allowed to rotate them.\n\nAnd then… the bottom rack sliders. I don’t say this lightly: this is a villain origin story. If you so much as look at the bottom rack wrong, it jumps the track like it’s trying to escape. Load one slightly ambitious item? Off the rails. Literally. It’s maddening. We came this close to returning it and starting over with something less… dramatic.\n\nThe top rack? Not innocent. Not helpful. Just watching the chaos unfold.

I very much appreciate the flexibility in arranging things. It has been very effective at cleaning my dishes, and everything came out looking and feeling cleaner than with my previous 10-year-old dishwasher model, so I consider this a worthwhile upgrade. \nNote that to get additional programs like tub clean, you need to download them through the LG ThinQ app. \n\nGetting the dishwasher level during installation was convenient with the ability to adjust the height of the back feet through the front of the dishwasher. \n\nI knocked half a star off for the rack rails feeling rough/loose, which is the cheapest-feeling part. \n\nThe other half a star off is for the potentially difficult (self-) install though. The plug for an outlet is not initially attached to account for differences in kitchen setup, so it needs to be wired to the dishwasher. However, it was very difficult to wire since on the dishwasher, the box containing the wiring (located under the front) was rather small.

This dishwasher has a modern design and some innovative features. The dishwasher has stainless steel inside and out which is a nice touch. There are 3 racks with the middle one being adjustable with a quick easy press of 2 buttons. The top rack is a skinny rack for silverware/ cutlery which I must say is nice for those times you have a lot of other dishes as you can use the top rack for silverware and take out the basket on the bottom rack. The top rack is also removable if you need more room on the middle rack. \nThe dishwasher also is equipped with ThinQ, where you can download an app and do things like remote start, " download cycles", diagnostics, energy monitoring, and access to the user manual. In my mind the ThinQ app and controls in the app are more hype than useful, it is nice to have a diagnostic ability depending on how much information you'd actually get, the download cycles gives the ability to choose one of 9 special settings like pots and pans, tub clean etc and program it to the download button on the machine, but the fact you can only program one program at a time through the app seems less than ideal vs just having a button that you could perhaps cycle through the options? the remote start I really can't think of a time I would need to use it especially since you need to turn the machine on press remote start then use the app. \nI'll let you decide whether the ThinQ is something that is for you. But otherwise the machine seems to do a good job, it cleans well, is fairly quiet and looks nice. \nInstallation is fairly straightforward, make sure you have the right size opening ( 23 3/4" wide x 33 5/8 high x 23 3/4 deep) , and your water and electric are within the recommended areas. The machine can be flush mounted however as seen in my picture mine sticks out a bit due to a 3/4 inch support on the back of my cabinet. \nThe electrical hookup is simple with an electrical box on the front of the machine and wire nutting hot to hot neutral to neutral and ground to ground. \nFor leveling there are the 2 front feet which you can use the 1/4 in square drive of a rachet, or use a 1/2 inch socket on the top of the foot or use a flat blade screwdriver to push the foot itself. The rear foot has an adjustment screw on the front center making it very easy to adjust. \nOverall a very nice dishwasher.

I guess I should hold off a star for longevity, but I am just so thrilled with my new dishwasher I had to give it all five stars.\nUnfortunately, the guys were not able to do the install at the time of delivery due to my dishwasher not having a cut off. Some may find this helpful. Even though I knew where the main cut off was, I was told that would not be wise because the next person may not notice and end up flooding my kitchen. \nI was so disappointed. I thought I had everything covered. I had cleared everything out, I had an outlet installed (the old dishwasher was hardwired), and yet my new dishwasher was still left out in the garage.\nEven so, the guys assured me, they had done everything else, including attaching the power cord. Two (2) days and $195 later ($45 parts & $150 fee), I had a working dishwasher. \nNow for the nitty-gritty, Not only is it beautiful, it is super quiet. Not just quiet when it starts, it’s quiet throughout the entire process. So much so that it illuminates underneath to let you know it’s in use, that is just cool. \nWhen the cycle is over, and the job is completely finished, it plays a cute little jingle, a little longer than a tone, to let you know it’s done, the door opens just slightly, and End is displayed on the screen. \nSpeaking of the screen, it is fantastic. The guessing game is over. Once the job is selected, the run time is clearly displayed on the screen and the count down begins. \nOf course I’m impressed, my previous dishwasher was at least 15 years old; however, one of my friends stopped by and she was more impressed than I especially since she thought her relatively new dishwasher was super quiet, she was wrong.\nIt was so quiet that she stayed until the cycle was over because she kept expecting a roar to start, again, she was wrong. \nI am just delighted. I’m even smiling as I record this review which seems rather ridiculous for a dishwasher, but I’m in love. \nPlus, it has ThinQ. I really don’t know exactly what ThinQ is but I am certain it will become a helpful tool. In fact it has already proven to be beneficial. Once I downloaded the app, added my dishwasher, I was able to redeem an additional warranty, if it qualifies, just by scanning the QR code.

Absolutely love this smart LG Dishwasher. I replaced an older model dishwasher with this energy-efficient dishwasher. This is a 24-inch wide dishwasher, with a nice stainless steel front, which is print proof. This dishwasher can be linked with the LG ThinQ app, if desired. The digital control panel display is convenient and easy to use. There is an interior light that illuminates when the door is opened. The light will turn off after about four minutes and thirty seconds, if left open. There are three racks with nice sturdy pulls at the front, which is a nice feature. The upper small rack can hold smaller items. It also has a rinse aid indicator, if the reservoir becomes low. No more guessing if it's low or empty. There are TrueSteam nozzles in the door. During dry boost mode, don’t be alarmed when the door chimes and then pops open during the additional drying time. This startled me at first, but after quickly reading the manual, determined this was normal. The installation took me about an hour to complete. I used a new water line and wiring kit. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. I've had this dishwasher for a short period of time, but most say I’ve been impressed with the cleaning of my dishes the couple of times I’ve used it. I used the one-hour cycle with and without the low dry boost setting and can say my dishes have been clean both times. There is an outer light at the bottom of the dishwasher that will stay on during operation. After it is complete, there will be a chime, bottom light turns off after 90 seconds and the control panel will display “END” for 30 seconds. I personally like these features. There are many more features and washing settings this dishwasher has. Read through the manual and choose what’s best for your needs. I didn’t realize how loud my previous model was compared to this quiet LG dishwasher, which is so nice on the ears. Overall, I am very happy with the performance and functionality of this LG dishwasher. The cleanliness of dishes hasn’t disappointed thus far. I will continue to learn what this machine can do through all the different cycles, as I get more and more comfortable with it.

I have 2 LG refrigerators that have been great and have lasted many years. When picking out a dishwasher I knew LG was the right choice. \n\nThis LG Dishwasher is Stainless Steel and matches my kitchen appliances perfectly. The stainless steel doesn't smudge or show fingerprints easily and it is easy to keep clean. \n\nI had it installed by the Home Depot and they did great. I watched them as the did it, and install seemed easy. \n\nI didn't know how I would like the controls on the top of the door rather than the front, but I must say that I like the top controls. There is still enough gap for you to see the timer on the top. \n\nThere are multiple settings for you to use for different types of washes. Of course, there is the normal setting, a heavy setting, and a turbo which is a quicker wash. It should be noted that on the turbo it doesn't dry, but you can select extra drying and it will dry it. There is also an auto setting that senses how soiled your dishes are and washes accordingly. LG has an app that you can connect your dishwasher through wifi and get more settings. I also like that there is a countdown timer on top to let you know how long you have left in the wash cycle. \n\nAs for the interior of this washer, I love the amenities that it provides. There is, of course, a lower rack that has plenty of places for plates and some of the plate racks can be flattened to allow for big pots. There is also a big silverware container that holds a lot of silverware. \n\nThe second rack is adjustable to help you fit taller cups and items. It is simple to adjust. Just use the push buttons on each side of the rack and it lowers or raises. The third rack is quite shallow but it is perfect for knives, spatulas, and cup lids. This is my favorite feature of the dishwasher.\n\nIt washes well and gets the dishes squeaky clean. You have a spot for rinseaid which helps with drying, but the way this washer dries without rinseaid, there is minimal moisture when the wash gets done. The reason for this is that the door pops slightly open when the cycle and drying is complete. \n\nI love this LG Dishwasher. I highly recommend.

Works quite well. Sometimes spoon on 3rd rack and food residue on pots were not cleaned fully. Quick wash cycle is effectively 35 - 40 mins with 20 min open door drying and may not clean and dry all utensils. I followed the utensil loading as close to manual and i am picky on details. Normal cycle is the best but long (2.5 hrs) but can be done overnight. For quick loads in the middle of day if guests are over, use Turbo cycle not downloaded Quick cycle. ThinQ app is pretty handy for remote activation and download cycles (bonus feature) and tracks water pressure at inlet and informs of any leaks (once forgot to open hot water line, it gave error code). My mom was saying it was not as shiny as our previous M***** but close. Quadpro supposed to be good based on reviews. Overall - 4.5 stars out of 5.

The three rack design provides plenty of space, and the top rack is especially useful for extra utensils and smaller items. The cleaning performance is excellent, everything comes out spotless, fresh, and completely dry, even plastic containers, which my previous dishwasher struggled with. I also haven't had any detergent residue left on glasses. The only issue I experienced was with the installation, as it was initially tilted slightly backward, causing the racks to slide back when pulled out. After the installation company returned and corrected it, everything worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this dishwasher.

I haven't had the dishwasher very long but when we do run it it seems loud which surprised me. You would think dishwashers nowadays would be quieter. We have an open concept kitchen and the dishwasher is at the end of our kitchen counter. I also noticed that if you have tall glasses the 3rd rack won't work. I found out that the 3rd rack can be removed. The utensil basket is plenty big enough for our family. I do like that. Having the white light when the dishwasher is done is a nice feature. I very much like the look of the front of the dishwasher. I won't miss seeing the handle like I had on my previous dishwasher. Love the wi-fi app - makes it so easy to control. If only you could add an app to load & unload the dishes. lol

All opinions expressed in this post are personal and should not be attributed to LG. After using the LG LDNTH862S for a bit, I can honestly say I’m really happy with it. The cleaning performance is the first thing that stood out to me. The QuadWash Pro system actually does make a difference — even dishes I used to pre-scrub come out spotless. I’ve thrown in some pretty tough, baked-on stuff just to test it, and it handled everything without a problem.\n\nThe 1-Hour Wash & Dry cycle has been surprisingly useful. On busy weeknights or when I need clean dishes quickly, it’s nice not having to wait two or three hours for a full cycle. And it’s extremely quiet — at 39 dB, I often forget it’s running until the chime goes off at the end.\n\nDrying is solid too. Most things come out completely dry thanks to the AutoVent feature, which pops the door open a bit at the end of the cycle. The only exception is lightweight plastics, which still sometimes hold a little moisture — but honestly, I haven’t owned a dishwasher that gets plastic totally perfect, so this isn’t surprising.\n\nI also like the overall layout and flexibility. The adjustable third rack comes in handy for utensils and small odds and ends, and I can usually fit everything from a big dinner into a single load. The hidden controls and clean exterior give it a sleek look that fits nicely with the rest of my kitchen.\n\nThe only real downside is the price. It’s definitely on the higher end, but considering the features, the performance, and the low noise level, I feel like I got what I paid for.\n\nOverall: I’m very pleased with the LDNTH862S. This product replaced a very old dishwasher, and the difference in performance was the first thing I noticed. It is so quiet, that were it not for the white light projection onto the floor below, I would not know it was on. It thoroughly washes and dries a full load of dishes and flatware.\n\nWhat I like:\n1.\tClean, uncluttered look with the control panel built into the top edge of the door, making it invisible to passersby when the door is closed. \n2.\tIntuitive, soft touch controls make selections easy for anyone to operate.\n3.\tSoft white light projection onto the floor near the bottom of the appliance indicates unit is operating, turning to soft red light when the operation is completed. Though a chime option is available, this visual signal is most convenient (and unique).\n4.\tExpansive capacity with extensive loading flexibility – extra rack on top for flatware, in addition to conventional silverware basket and adjustable-height middle rack and tines that separate and fold to support and accommodate a variety of plate/pot footprints and heights.\n5.\tExcellent cleaning, with steam, high-temp and extra dry functions to enhance and expedite wash performance.\n6.\tServiceable tub filters – good to have to maintain efficient cleaning; however, I have not yet performed this function.\n7.\tProfessional installation (and removal of old unit) took approximately 20 minutes.\n8.\tImpressive warranty – 1 year labor/parts, 2 year/main control board/racks/door/liner/tub, 10 year/direct drive motor. These are strong indications of the manufacturer’s confidence in its product.\n\nDuring the short period I owned this dishwasher, the only shortcoming – and a minor one at that – is the somewhat lengthy 2+ hour time to complete a full wash/dry cycle. On the other hand, the exceptionally quiet operation is noteworthy.\n\nThis is an attractive and effective cleaning appliance that I would recommend to a friend.

This one is tough to review for me but I have to go with my gut, at the end of the day, it’ll probably be a great dishwasher, but there’s some things I really don’t love about it. \n\nFirst, the fact that it had a 1 hour wash was really exciting, but I don’t want to use it because I’m worried my dishes won’t be clean after looking at the “normal” setting. See my pics, but when you run a setting as simple as normal with dry boost, it takes 2 hrs 52 mins, jump to heavy with steam, high temp, and dry boost and your at 5 HOURS! \n\nThen there’s the third rack, to me it’s useless. It’s very thin, like room for a spatula but nothing gets clean, the spinner sprayer above it is about 2.5 inches wide, and to wash from the bottom, water needs to somehow go through the second shelf, past all the dishes on the second shelf, then through the third shelf to whatever is up there. Also, it takes a few inches away from the height the second shelf can be. \n\nThe second shelf can be dropped pretty low, but not really because on its lowest setting plates won’t fit. This dishwasher reminds me of a new car that has self retracting handles and auto stops hurt. Nobody asked for the features, they just seemed cool in the design room and somebody decided to do it. \n\n\nAnd regarding space, the vertical guides for loading it are just a little off, I feel like it holds less than my old one and does it more awkwardly. Look at the picture of the bottom shelf, there’s such a big gap between the front and back “pins” that it makes lading it fully difficult. Any oven pans, 9x13 casserole dishes don’t have a good place to fit.

The dishwasher is incredibly quiet you have to do a double take to walk up to it and check they it’s on! Not sure if it’s just my unit but when the steam function is in the steam comes out from the cavity and creates water droplets underneath the lip of my countertop which is not ideal, even without the steam on some water droplets from the final cycle does escape. I’m still learning the capabilities but overall seems to be a quality product.

Great product so far. Nice and quiet. Plenty of space inside so number of cycles during the week should be less. Lowe's order process was a little messed up. It was supposed to be delivered to the store by 6/2/2026, a notice came to me saying that it was being shipped to the store but then changed status to delayed. When shopping at the store I inquired about the status and they could not be sure. I waited 25 to 30 minutes during multiple calls to various departments only to be told that no...

Cleans better than my old one and def looks better than my old one as well. Fairly quiet. My only minor complaint is it seems like the interior is a bit smaller than I would like.

Can you believe I had to replace a 2 year old dishwasher? Yes there seem to be a lot of brands putting sloppy-engineered or manufactured product out there. That’s another story. Enter this LG stainless steel dishwasher. In short, we love it because 1.) The top control panel appears well built (we had leaking issues here with another brand that caused multiple repairs and internal control board failure). It’s also easy to read. 2.) Performance. This unit cleans as well as our better than our previous unit (which is comparable in price), even using the short cycle. 3.) The app. Just wow. This app is amazing. Its easy to setup, lets you see exactly what your dishwasher is up to, customize cycles and jingles, and gives you important info, like if your out of rinse aid. 4.) 3rd row top rack. While pretty standard these days, this one is easily adjustable with some sliding controls. 5.) innovations. My wife was very confused when the door would pop open with 27 minutes left in the cycle. After checking out the manual (all easily accessed in the app) I see that the dishwasher is just taking advantage of thermodynamics to enhance the drying cycle. Once it’s at a safe temp, it gently open the door a few inches and ventilates the tub speeding drying. Pretty cool. \n\nMinor nits: Top rack has some contour / slots / holder that I found unnecessary and reduces available space. The wine glass holders are not well built. We remove these typically anyway to make space, but when my wife removed them a piece broke off. \n\nOverall, after several weeks of almost daily use I can say I very much recommend this unit and am pretty impressed.

We are having an issue with ‘noise ' after about an hour of running. However I do have a service call in .. so once that is done I'll let you know how that gets handled. I'm thinking LG will handle appropriately!!

The dishwasher is amazing compared to my previous machine. This LG appliance has so many upgrades, including a downloadable app for customize ringtones and wash cycles not to mention a reminder in 30 wash cycles to run a sanitize solution. The downloadable app with the Wi-Fi feature is not necessary to use the machine, but is available if you want to expand on different options, I went ahead and downloaded the Christmas jingle bells ringtone. You’ll notice right away when installing you have a carpet material surrounding machine to dampen noise and prevent heat from escaping. The installment of this machine is very similar to your previous model, hardwired power supply, water supply, and last part of small hose feeding into the sink for dirty water.\n\nNow, for some more awesome highlights about this machine, you have two spray arms. The second one you’ll find underneath the second rack. Plus, the second rack can go up or down with a push button for large pots and pans. Other features include a third rack to hold more silverware. I’ve got to let you know a huge bonus for me is how smooth the racks slide in and out - Not to mention a LED light Inside the machine that comes on after you open the door. This machine has so many features. Another one includes a steam nozzle that’s built in the door you’ll notice after opening at the bottom. Just a heads up in the last 10 minutes of operation, the door will automatically crack open, allow air to escape, which is part of the drying cycle. \n\nYou have to believe me this machine is the best investment you could buy. I highly recommended to any customer.

Need to improve of the lower and upper rack design and spacing. The square dishes can slip through the rack and damage the sprayers

The cleaning is superb just as I have experience with past LG dishwashers. My only complaint actually is twofold. Because the baskets are almost black it's impossible to see very well into the machine because it's so dark. Also the bottom rack constantly slips off the guide rails and falls crooked on the door.

Overall this is a good dishwasher and nice looking. It\u2019s very quiet and cleans dishes well. The racks glide smoothly and the adjustable third rack is very useful. What I don\u2019t like is the dishes never seem to be dry. I also think the controls could be a bit more user-friendly.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The dishwasher I received is great. Using over two weeks now and in the past 4times use, it\u2019s quite efficient, cleanliness and steaming well. Everything meets expectation and by the way the installation is very fast.
