We're pretty happy with this rug though we've only had it in the room for three days. What makes me happiest is that it has all the colors I love. A full range of blues and some greens as well. It surprised me that it overall seemed so much less bright than the picture online. I plan to get a new sofa in the not too distant future and I think this will be an easier task now that the rug is in the room. I also was concerned that there might be a smell to the rug but there wasn't at all. I'd wanted to get a wool rug for the sustainability aspect and I'm glad I did even if it meant paying more than I might have if I wasn't worried about that. The actual size of the rug was closer to 7' 10" by 10' 1". It wasn't a problem for us -- close enough to 8X10 in my book. The reason I went for four stars instead of five is that I was frustrated by the photos in the listing. The bird's eye view of the rug shows one area of very light striping and two areas with the green. I didn't understand that a rug that was larger would have TWO strips of light and three of the green. I think that the extra stripes of light colors make the overall effect much lighter than it might have seemed otherwise. I had imagined that the proportions of stripes would be upsized as the rug itself was upsized. So, okay, that wasn't how it worked. The other issue was the fact that it was not at all clear whether the striping would go side to side or up and down. One of the pictures in the listing shows a larger rug on the floor with three chairs in the picture. This picture sure looks like the stripes were going up and down and not side to side -- opposite of what the main picture shows. I was determined to make the rug work either way it happened to be, but the not-knowing until it was in the house was annoying. Overall, I'm very happy with this rug. More
