I bought my new GE washer about three weeks ago. I chose this particular washer because it had settings for me to choose the water level that I preferred instead of the using the sensor mode. My first use, the washer water level was not working. I called GE and they were very quick in getting a service person here to fix it. It needed a part, so the man came back two days later and put in the new part. The washer did fill up further than it did before the repair, between the second and third rows of holes in tub. About a week later it started doing the same thing, like it was stuck in the auto fill. I researched online, and found out how to reset the washer. It does better again, but it does not fill up to the extent that I think it should. The deep rinse at least is filling tub up to between first and second row of holes in tub. I am disappointed to have issues with a brand new washer. But is still under warranty , so I guess I will just wait and see what happens. It is also quite noisy, but I guess that’s normal. It does wash really well, it has a powerful agitator. I like the different functions that the washer offers.

My washer meets my requirements and I am happy with it overall. To be honest I am not 100% because I prefer a washer that DOESN"T hjave a 'lock' feature after it begins the wash ...I often have last minute things to toss into the washer that i had overlooked and then cannot just open it to toss them in. The old days it was easy to do that but these newer style ones make it hard to do that. If I could just get one that was fully maunual and not so much electronics on the functions I would. that being said this one does a nice clean wash reliably. I am happy with it for now. My old washer was just no longer working on the spin cycle so I had to replace it after just 10 years. A repairman had tried to fix it but it only worked for a few more months before it quit. So I have this one now. I had ordered a MAYTAG initially but it was even more electronics and I was unhappy with it so we returned it and replaced it on the same day with this GE.

I bought this in November 2024 and have been happy with it. My other washer, a Kenmore lasted like 20 years, they were made to last! So I started searching and reading reviews on new washers and decided on this one after going to Home Depot to look at its capacity. I like the settings it has. It is quiet running. I had th8s delivered to my home. I was not happy with the two guys they sent, they were not too careful with bringing this to my basement and when they hooked up the required hoses, they bent and kinked them into the drain line, so called the store and they required that I purchase another hose but did not get reimbursed for it. Then they had to send two more guys to install it so it would keep the washer under warranty. This was not a good delivery install experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer fits perfectly in our laundry room. So far, I have washed 2 loads. I like it because I can open the lid while the barrel is filling with water. I prefer to do it this way, so I can put the soap in and what other cleaning powders I want. After the barrel is 1/2 full, then I put my clothes in. It's quiet and I can hear the alarm when it's finished. I didn't want anything fancy with all of the electronics and lighting, so this little gem is perfect for what I wanted.

This washer replaces a 25 y/o, large-capacity, H-D KitchenAid - that I loved (having had only one minor repair - a switch replacement.) Two loads washed since installing today, and so far this med-capacity replacement seems fine. Two initial concerns - when my large load was off-balance & needed redistributing it was a little tricky, as the lid had locked. Eventually I worked it out & the cycle completed, no problem. I love the auto-sensing water level, but wish I could lift the lid to check it!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The capacity is large IMO. The basket is stainless steel and the controls are efficient and sufficient for me. The water level can be adjusted automatically. Although the performance sound is loud during the wash cycle, I have adjusted to the sound as the clothes come out very clean and the spin cycle is efficient. I only have used it 4 times in 5 days of having it so this review is contingent on future performance and endurance over time.

So far it works very well. We purchased this washer for a several of reasons:\n1. You don't need to hook it to the interment to use it. \n2. It has a 5 year warranty. If it lasts at least 5 years trouble free, I will gladly add a 5th star to the review.\n3. it is not burdened with any un necessary frills and a features. Those just add to the likelihood something will break. Also it does not have soft button electronic controls, again these are just more things to malfunction.

So far so good. it does make a lot of noise, especially as it starts, but I can close the door to the laundry room. There is one cycle "BULKY" which I tried for sheets and towels, but it did not rinse/wring out the water so well, and I had to use a different cycle to wring out the water. But there are other cycle options to choose from, and hopefully they will do the job!

We are very happy with the washing machine's performance, and user-friendly controls, with one concern so far. The drum or basket where the clothing is washed is suspended in a way that is very loose, and the machine becomes unbalanced easily, compared to our older machine. I am concerned that it may not last as long as we would like, because of this issue. To wash towels or sheets, you must always use the "bulky items" setting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This large capacity machine allows me to not have to wash as often, and that’s a plus for me. The controls are self-explanatory. However, I admit it took a little trouble figuring out how to get the machine to fill-up, but now that’s a non-entity. The cycles of the machine are great, not too long or too short, just long enough to get the job done. There is hardly any noise and that’s music to my ears. My clothes are clean and smell fresh after the wash and rinse cycle and that’s the ultimate goal, and yet you look at all the other pluses that I mentioned above and that gives you the perfect machine.

The capacity is large enough for a queen comforter with the agitator and the overall dimensions of the appliance fit through a normal door frame for easy installation. The first cycle we used was quick wash and it performed well. We could open the lid while filling which is the downside of most new appliances that lock the lid during fill up. The normal wash cycle was quiet and simple: the buttons are well defined and the cycle options are useful for energy efficiency.

I like this washer because it uses the proper amount of water like an old-school washer. I have noticed it will put fabric softener on your clothes at the end of cycle so you have to make sure that you water down your fabric softener so that does not happen. These washers typically last me 3 to 5 years and that's it but I do like it and this is my third washer like this. Family of 4

It is noisy as noted in other reviews but so was the 19 year old GE washer it replaced. Best feature for me, the controls are simple and the clothes come out clean. Great capacity, I can launder a king size quilt with room to spare and I appreciate having control over the water level. So far, a solid purchase. 19 years might be too much to hope for but I remain optimistic.

Had to replace an old Kenmore washer and chose the GE. So far so good. Noticed that washer drum is much larger that previously, which is good. New technology sets wash by type of laundry - ie to chose whites, heavy duty, etc instead of selecting wash and rinse temperature. We'll see how that goes. Time will tell as I use this more - besides that I have no negative opinions

I purchased the washer because I wanted one that filled with water and to replace a high-efficiency machine, that was performed so poorly that I avoided using the machine. The only issue I have with the new washer if how loud the machine when running a cycle. It definitely seems a "commercial" type of machine, but it works, and that is what matters!!

I've done two laundry loads but I am extremely pleased with this washer. It took a bit to get used to pressing Pause (Start button) after any action when opening the lid, adding more items, changing the water level or temperature, then closing the lid. It takes getting used to it using less water that doesn't cover all the clothes, but at the end of the cycle, the clothes were clean and smelled really nice. My former washer was 20 years old with gunk in the pipe connections and a porcelain basket, so this new washer has a very nice clean smell using a stainless basket.

I’ve only had the washer for one month and have tried out a few features, but I am extremely happy with the cleanliness of the washed clothing and the function of the washer. My favorite feature is being able to tell how far along the load is by seeing the indicator lights as the clothing cycles through; that’s more than enough technology for me. I can do without the fancy computer bells and whistles. Quick wash is my favorite for getting a few items cleaned in no time and with the right amount of water (sensing feature). I'm extremely happy with my purchase!

Our 10 year old washing machine started to throw itself off balance every spin cycle, so it became fairly useless. We searched long and hard for a replacement, and decided this was the one. \n\nIt has a large capacity for our family of fives endless laundry piles, and we appreciate the basic top load with agitator design - in our opinion the more basic the better. It does a good job cleaning large loads of laundry quickly and quietly. Has several different cycle, temperature, and fill options. Overall it has made my wife very happy, which makes us all happy!

I was limited as to the size of washer and dryer. I could get due to the space they are in and I was very happy with the choices I had for GE appliances that were compact. I like that the features are simple and there aren’t too many electronics and when it comes right down to it, they wash my clothes and dry them without an issue.

Gets my clothes cleaner than my previous washer. Some people said their machine was noisy, but my is in the garage and it's not too bad. What I didn't like was that if I put the water level on the auto setting it didn't get the laundry detergent all the way out so I either had to run it again or choose a higher water level.

I love everything about it, but it will get off balance sometimes and then you have to start all over in order to get clothes washed, rinsed and spinning cycle over with. Not much noise. The controls are great. The capacity is wonderful. Sometimes I think the spinning cycle is a little bit long.

Even my towels came out much softer. The controls are easily accessible and user friendly. It does have an unusual sound when it is agitating the clothes. It may be that I’m not used to hearing the sound because I’ve been using a front loader for years. I much prefer the top loader and highly recommend this washing machine.

Handles large loads really well as well my bulk blankets and comforters. The sanitize option is super neat! The cold plus setting cleans clothes well and I like that it is supposed to save energy! The agitator helps ensure everything gets clean while still being gentle. This washer has a clean, sharp design to it that looks great in my space!

This commercial quality washer does an excellent job of cleaning clothes. I wish all wash cycles had a rinse cycle that filled the tub once instead of the spraying of water while spinning. If I set it for extra rinse I get TWO rinse cycles, which is a waste of water.

It has a lot of different cycle options and combinations for water amount and temperature as well which is really nice. It's in the louder side but nothing you can't get used to. I think the only complaint I have is at the end of a cycle nothing happens except it turns off. No chime or jingle and no timer. Other than that, I'm pretty pleased.
