My clothes seem cleaner and the dryer has an 80 min dry time setting which is perfect to dry towels and blankets. I am impressed by the efficiency and effectiveness of both of these appliances. I had two issues. I went from a washer with a very small bottom agitator. This washer has a full size agitator which is a small inconvenience for cleaner clothes. Another issue I had was the very loud signal the dryer has. It is startling at first but it is great if the dryer is placed farther from family areas. Overall, I am quite impressed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tested this GE 7.2 cu ft dryer and loved the simplicity yet modern style. The noise level was minimal compared to an older less efficient model. The installation of the appliance in home really tests the durability of the appliance until it’s settled in its place and it’s a superior built dryer. Had a solid body and was easy to install with attachments. The lint trap is conveniently located inside the door and being a vital part of the performance it could be bigger to avoid getting clogged quickly. The cycle options were giving max of 80 minutes more than typical dryers so you can choose more energy efficient or longer time for larger loads. General Electric is a great brand so I was happy to try this appliance and will use this for long term.

Surprisingly enough it's a pretty quiet dryer. However the only thing I did not like about it was the buzzer at the end. It buzzes to let you know the load is done and you should get them out before they wrinkle. I wish they had a button to turn it off if you don't need it. Otherwise the dryer is amazing!

I hope it's performance will out due my previous GE commercial quality dryer of almost 20 yrs repaired after 9 years. This has the same features: \nCapacity 7 cubic inch; light inside the drum; warning indicator when done; \nCycles, 4 ; \nNoise level about the same while running (not annoyingly loud), no knew bells and whistles i.e. digital; smart etc.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We wanted a simple to use, simple to install dryer and we certainly found it.\nIt has a larger drum than many of the ones we looked at.\nIt's pretty quiet even when lightly loaded with pretty wet items and it dries very well.\nit seems to use a normal amount of power like any other dryer however we did notice it dries faster than our previous units. The fan that blows the heat out the vent is pretty strong so with more air movement will come faster drying. With that in mind, I'm pretty sure it uses a little less power overall compared to the unit we replaced. \nAnd for the price? It's a deal. \nI would definitely buy this make/model again if I had it to do all over again.

The dryer is a great product. Super easy to use as well as performance wise is great! Only reason I gave it a 4 star was because we had some issues with the opening and closing of the door which GE was able to assist and got everything fixed. I will say the door will take a while to break in so it's a smooth opening and closing process. But overall I'm satisfied with the dryer.

So far, so good. We knew we were not buying a high-end dryer, so we are satisifed that it works as it should and looks fine. It does have a flat surface on top, so that helps with folding laundry. The reason for the 4 star rating is that in spite of having the exhaust hose properly fitted and strapped in place, the dryer kicks more heat into the laundry space than we like.

For its price point, this dryer delivers exactly what you need for everyday laundry. It has generous capacity, operates at a reasonable noise level, and includes more than essential cycles. Clothes come out dry, cool, and almost wrinkle-free. My only wish is for a more pleasant alert tone between cycle stages instead of the standard buzzing sound.

GE appliances have really gone downhill. We just returned two dual oven stoves back to back. We bought a washer and dryer as well for a holiday offer. The dryer is cheaply made. The tiny lint tray is super hard to clean. The lint is stuck to the metal screen and doesn't want to peel off. It's loud (louder than my 20 year old Kenmore it replaced). Imthe buzzer is RIDICULOUSLY loud as other reviews memtion. \nMy 20 year old Kenmore had a buzzer volume knob. You can't adjust volume on this one. Not only is it super loud but he thought they were doing us a favor by having it buzz at end of cycle and then repeatedly during another 8 minutes of tumbling to "keep. Clothes from wrinkling". No adjustments. If I could return it I would. \nBodewell (the GE warranty) company us TERRIBLE as I experienced them with the stove we returned (after missing screws and two broken burners) so I hope the dryer doesn't break.

I love my new dryer. It's big enough to hold my bedspreads when I wash them. I only have two things I don't like about it. There's no way that I can see to turn off the buzzer and the biggest thing I don't like is that there is no light.

I like GE dryers mainly because they have the front dryer vent. So easy to clean. But the capacity is great also. I gave it a 4 star only because of the buzzer at end of cycle. GE you really need to turn it down a little bit.

Not the noise of the clothes drying, but the signal at the end of the cycle is very loud and annoying. It is a clothes dryer, NOT a new sports car. It does what it is support to do - DRY CLOTHES, not whistling Dixie while searching the internet! We didn't want all the expensive features that break down - just dry the clothes completely. IT DOES IT WELL. Our G.E. washer we bought several years ago has functioned flawlessly without all the fancy, unnecessary electronic gimmicks. G.E. - focus on building well made long lasting equipment and you will never go out of business.

Although it is a bit louder than my previous dryer, it dries things quickly and is a great dryer! Love the light inside! I'm not sure if I like the size and location of the lint trap yet.. it's kinda small.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had it for three days. Its a dryer, it's fine, except the buzzer is LOUD and of course it's the model that won't let you disable the buzzer. It buzzes multiple times at the end of the cycles and is absolutely deafening. Great if you're hard of hearing, I suppose. Also the main knob is difficult to turn to the point where we were afraid we were going to break it. A bit off-putting, but not as off-putting as the fire alarm level buzzer.

Runs pretty quiet, which is nice. Doesn't seem to get too hot like some dryers can get, just had to figure out the right combination of the cycle settings to get desired outcome. Nice size.

The control for temperature is very hard to turn. The average senior citizen (I\u2019m 77) would struggle with turning the control for temperature. Not including those that have arthritis.

The drum in this dryer is huge I can dry a very large amount of clothes before I could only do half that size! The controls on the dryer are perfect we absolutely love it and it used so much less energy I could literally do clothes in half the time as my other dryer and my clothes smelled so great!😀
