I originally had ordered a larger size Duraflame and returned it because the fan did NOT project the heat....a very weak fan. I purchased this Duraflame heater to replace the heater I just described. \nThis heater is almost an exact replica of the Duraflame I had been using the past 8yrs, that I ran 24/7 all winter here in Colorado. It warmed the lower level of my trilevel home and some heat to the second level (as warm air rises). The remote controls all, except the dial which controls the heat level. There is no number to display the temperature setting, which is fine with me because I have never had a temp number visible. I keep thermometer on distant end of the room with continuous temp read out...then adjust dial as needed.\nI am 75yrs and putting feet on was simple for me. Heater arrived in perfect condition. Very easy return of the previous "weak fan" heater to Walmart. This heater sits on bricks in front of my fireplace. Cat lays right in front on the carpet for hours!

We love this little fireplace. It looks nice, heat works pretty well and warmed up a little space in no time. The remote is pretty nice too so you don't have to get up to turn it off and on when you've just gotten comfortable. There are a couple design flaws that keep me from giving it a 5 star review. Ours makes a noise like a computer hard drive when the fireplace light feature is on, so when the room is quiet, it's sort of bothersome. It's not loud, just like a computer, mildly annoying. The other design flaw are the controls are set so when the door closes, you can't see the buttons - which is nice, however, you can't see what the temperature is without getting up to check. So from the remote you can turn the heat up, down and off, but unless you do to the unit, you can't tell what you're doing except when you hear it click on or off. Still like this fireplace and it's pretty cozy.

What a great space heater! Been using for a little over a month, and it really warms my 625 sq ft. living room. It is only used as supplemental heating, but it does a great job. The build quality is very nice. Assembly was easy, but the screws for the legs strip VERY easy if too much pressure is applied. The flames look very realistic to me adding a nice ambiance to the room. The five brightness levels, timer, and thermostat setting are a nice touch. I love the option to turn the heat off and just have the flames; it is the best of both worlds. The remote works well, and I love that the manual controls are behind the front door to not detract from the appearance.

The actual fireplace is much smaller than I expected from the picture. It's cute looking, lighter weight, and the fake flames look pretty legitimate. The assembly was somewhat bewildering, but I did get it together eventually (the legs on the unit were a little challenging). I haven't used the heater portion of the unit, but just tried it once to see if it works, and it does. It didn't seem to put out much heat. I do like the remote, which functions well. I had originally ordered this same unit from Country Door but their customer service is rated very poorly; so, I canceled the order and got this unit through Walmart. It came quickly and in excellent condition.

I love this electric fireplace! It’s relatively small which I like since it doesn’t take up much space. Small does not mean it doesn’t work though! I have this in my living room and it throughly heats up the space. I haven’t used my central heat much this season yet because this gets the job done. I also like that there is a setting to keep the “fire burning” with no heat because that adds a nice ambiance. My only complaint is that you have to get up to change the temperature. The temperature option on the remote only allows you to turn it on and off, not adjust. Otherwise, this is perfect!

It is rather expensive but it looks better than most. The heat element is near the top which is a plus. It heats our family room very nicely. I deducted a star because for the price the remote should adjust all the functions like the thermostat. Also, to adjust you have to walk across the room open the door bend over real low to adjust the controls. Controls would be better near the top instead of at the bottom. The grey color is really nice and goes with our interior nicely. We ordered beige first hoping it would be more white as in some pictures but it looked more yellow than beige.

This heater was a perfect purchase. It was exactly what I needed. When using this heater, my oil burner doesnt have to run so much. I have not gotten my electric bill at this point, so I do not know what the actual cost to run this is yet. It does heat up my large livingroom and kitchen area very well so I am not really concerned to much about the electric. I love that I can move this around to different rooms if desired. I usually run this for a few hours at night.

Very much like the appearance of the stove and the comforting flame. The amount of heat and the speed of heating is adequate but just doesn't compare to the pellet stove I am trying to replace. But I didn't expect it to. So far I am pleased with it. I have not had an electric bill yet, and again I know it won't be as low as with the pellet stove but am curious to see just how much higher my bill will be over the coming frigid months.

I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because while I love this product, it was difficult to attach the legs. The space where you insert the screws for the legs was very confined. It was very difficult to fit your hand and fingers into the space to get the screws in place. The screws were hard to screw in and it took forever to screw each one completely in. Once I got the legs on, I loved it...it was just was I hoped it would be.

Great little stove! It fits nicely in my fireplace and although it\u2019s summer, we tested everything out and we immediately felt the heat generating. I also like that we\u2019ve been able to enjoy the flickering flames without the heat. It\u2019s easy to use and I like that it comes with a remote. Time will tell in the winter but I will say I have a similar stove from Duraflame and that has not disappointed us.

I have purchased many electric fireplaces and will only trust Duraflame brand. They are well made last for years and worth every penny. I recommend over compensating heat for your room size and normally only get 1000 square foot fireplaces. Temperature control can be set as low as 62 to 70s. Very quiet and pretty too with low footprint. Don't waste your money on other brands as i unfortunately did once.

Nice little stove. Once I get my heat from the furnace where I want it. I turn the furnace down and this pretty much maintains that heat in my living room. The flames add a nice touch. Just wish it were a bit bigger. I like the remote. Makes it easier to use. It is very quiet. My last space heater was a bit noisy, I put it where a pellet stove use to be. It’s a nice little addition to that space.

Very nice, classic designed, electric fireplace, with realistic flame effect and sufficient heat output. I purchased this item for a large living room with a cathedral ceiling, to help heating a larger area during this extreme arctic winter we're having in the Northeast. I have a small 1 bedroom home. My HVAC system went out just a beginning of cold weather season. This heater manages to keep my whole house warm until we go into teens. Then I have a couple of Honeywell heaters in the smaller rooms for then. This fireplace stove was accurately described in the advertisement. It was delivered rather swiftly near the holidays. Only had to attach the legs, which are plastic. It feels sturdy, looks attractive and generates plenty of heat for our downstairs rec room. I've only had it for one week and hope it has a nice, long life. We enjoy it.

I got an incredible price on this electric stove , it was such a value. I put it in my greenhouse for warmth on cold nights, it puts out nice heat. Also , during warmer nights the stove is nice in the evenings without heat and just flame on for effect. Perfect size, I like that the door opens and I like the view windows on the sides as well.

I've used Duraflame heaters for a few years and have always been satisfied with them. This heater works well and was worth the price. I hide the French grey design this time and was pleased with the softer coloring. I have the heater in my homes office space which is a 10'x10' room and it keeps it nice and warm. Would recommend it.

This is a wonderful little heater and the flames are so comforting to watch. It's made my home office warm and cozy which is normally a cold place at best in winter.
