This oven is a huge disappointment. It is the unfortunate result of the saying "if you chase 2 rabbits you won't catch either." Only this product didn’t just try to chase 2 features, it tried to chase a dozen. The result is everything about this oven is mediocre and nothing stands out as excellent. I cook with my range several times every day. This range has made me miss my old simple range that came with my house. \n\nThe pros: If you are good at adjusting temperature and time on your recipes, you can cook your food pretty close to how the recipe is supposed to turn out. Bread proof setting works fairly well. Range boils quickly. Keep warm burner for pots worked well. Glass flat top is easy to wipe down and keep clean. Slow cooker is nice. I enjoy this setting with a cast iron dish in the oven.\n\nCons: Temperature on oven is too cold. I cooked two sets of identical brownies. I've never messed this recipe up. One I cooked on Convection Bake (recommended for brownies), this oven automatically adjusts the temp lower for convection claiming it is too hot. My brownies on convection came out with the beautiful flaky brownie crust, but despite cooking it several minutes longer than the recipe required this batch of brownies came out soupy. The second tray of brownies I cooked on Bake at the regular temperature. This one failed to have the flaky top and was more cake like, but at least the brownies were more done after I left them in for a few extra minutes like I did the first batch. Likewise, my regular loaf of bread when cooked normal time/temp came out pale and barely cooked. I don't own an oven thermometer, but setting the temp 10 degrees hotter for everything I bake has helped to get better results although still not as good as I am used to. \n\nAirfryer is a waste. I used a recipe for potato chips that is supposed to take 5-8 minutes to cook. This oven took 30 minutes per batch, even though I upped the temp by 50 degrees. The temp wasn't even. The rear of the oven got hotter than the rest, so I had to keep rotating it. My traditional baked chips come out crispier and cook faster than the airfryer setting on this oven.\n\nRange knobs are easily knocked off their setting. I'm a mom with little kids and teenagers. I have now made it a habit to look down at my temperature knobs every few seconds while cooking to check if the knob got bumped which happens nearly every time someone wants to peek at what I am cooking or there are lots of people moving around the kitchen at once or occasionally just because I am standing near the oven tending to the food. The most annoying part of this is that LOW is right next to HIGH on the knob. So if I am cooking on low and don't catch the temperature slip to high within a few seconds then my most sensitive foods will be burnt and unsalvageble. This has happened several times. My kids often cook, but settings like this make me feel concerned that there will be an accident while my kids are cooking.\n\nBluetooth and wifi seem pointless. I connected to this range via the app. I see no time when this would be useful. The only time I can think of is if we were bringing home a pizza that you cook yourself. With this setting, then you could preheat the oven on your way home so it would be ready when you arrived. BUT this only works if you preplanned it and had the oven set to REMOTE START which for our family this type of a meal is always an after thought, so my oven would never be set to remote start anyway. I also attempted to change the end jingle and it didn't change it even though it claimed on the app that it was changed.\n\nSummary: The range claims to be able to do a lot of things, but most are mediocre and just distract from the appliance being able to do it's basic functions well. Not for the cook who has kids around or the cook who enjoys cooking sensitive foods or consistent results. It does get the job done with some creative tweaking. Babysitting this range creates more stress and risk around meal prep instead of more convenience. I recommend looking for a more reliable range to purchase.

LG 30 in. 5 Elements Slide-In Induction Range with InstaView and Air Fry in PrintProof Stainless Steel\nWow, this LG has nearly everything you could ask for in a modern range. It is a standard 30” width and countertop depth, but with this LG design, provides an enormous 6.3 cubic foot oven. The cooktop is a glass top induction design. That means you will need cookware that is induction compatible. An easy way to check is with a magnet on the bottom cook surface- if it sticks, it’s good! Induction provides a number of advantages over traditional electric cooktops, as to the speed of cooking, energy saving, and surface temperature of the glass top for safety. It has 4 induction burners, and one traditional burner to be used for warming. The oven has its own features. In addition to its size, you can cook several ways: standard bake, convection bake, air fry, and air Sous Vide. The Oven door provides a full view. You can even turn on the interior light by tapping the door glass. To keep it clean, you have two options depending on how much cleaning is needed. One cleans in a matter of minutes using steam, while the second option is the traditional high-heat method. The only two issues I have concern the control knobs. First, the indicators are silk screened, black on stainless steel, making them a little difficult to read. Additionally, the control knobs are located on the front of the range. For us, that means that they are easy to reach for kids and the burners and oven could be turned on accidentally. There is a lockout feature if you can remember to activate it, however, the lockout will not work if any parts of the range are in use. We would prefer them located traditionally, at the back on a raised control panel. Others may disagree, not wanting to reach over the burners. You decide.

This range indeed has many features and it is the first Induction cooktop we installed. \nDesign pro:\nControl knobs are large and clearly labelled - careful labels are 'printed' and can be removed with abrasive cleaners, all (except oven) have lock-out feature. Even the warming plate (100W conventional resistive heater) has temp control.\nControl Panel is better protected (large knobs, pro-handle) from accidental actuation, which can be annoying with other ovens. Start field is recessed and set above for easy locating and actuating.\nOven interior is a pleasant bright blue enamel. Insta-View is a bit of a 'toy' I'd rather have a longer on-time for the oven light and manual on/off only (power savings is negligible compared to oven heating element.\nWarming drawer - very nice.\nDesign con:\nmost difficult installation except if you opt for a direct wire or allow installation of the ugly optional rear filler: there is no room for a standard connector and the power cable to fold behind. The space is limited in width and depth (see pic). Had to move the receptacle twice to make it work. Even if you can push it all the way to the wall, there is going to be a gap on top, because there are protrusions of 1" off the rear panel. If you install the filler it gives the look one wants in the back but the oven is so far pushed forward, that the black side panels show, ugly and in our case the corner cabinet door would hit the oven handle. So we had to modify the receptacle mount, find a spot where the cable - not what one should have to do. The filler does look like an afterthought to cover the gap and allow a wall plug instead of direct wire.\nWe also did not like the wide Silicone filler between the ceramic top and the stainless housing - how will that look after years of cleaning and wiping?\nNot having bottom heating element requires almost certainly convection baking all the time, there are instructions on where to place the food for the various cooking modes. We tried a couple with good success (bread, stew), but nothing which requires bottom heat.\nCooking/Baking: \nBetween the localized heat (see the ring of boiling liquid in the pan - the outside is far cooler) of the induction elements and the missing lower heater, you will have to adjust your cooking/baking process. But after 2 weeks of use we were able to adjust to it. Oven heat-up time is long in convection mode - another parameter to keep in mind.\nThe bake with auto-shutoff (meet thermometer) works really well!\nBiggest issue:\nInstallation requires the filler if you want to plug it in and can tolerate the oven being pushed forward, otherwise you have to expect a gap in the back with direct wire

I'm so happy that this fit into our existing space -it was tight but no adjustments were needed and I'm not sure any could have been easily made. As tight as it was side-to-side, it would not slide completely back into the space due to the surface mounted outlet's location and protrusion but it came with a spacer that takes up the gap (it's the part that looks like a grill at the top back in the photos.) If that's not an option for you then the outlet would need to be moved to a location that would not interfere with the back of the Range.\nAll done with the installation and we ran it for the required time to burn of shipping residues as directed in the installation instructions. And we tested everything and all was working. Important first steps.\nEverything works as it should and clean up is easy. If you avoid sliding pans across the surface (as opposed to lifting and moving) you will never scratch the surface and cleaning up any messes as quickly as possible (after allowing to cool) will keep your stove top looking new for a long time. \nThe Oven comes in a beautiful Blue finish and it has a "Easy Clean" feature that should help maintain the good looks. I have yet to use this feature but it's basically a 10 minute clean. Basically, spray with water, select "Easy Clean" (a 10 minute cycle) and wipe away the residue. I can't wait to try this out.\nMy wife is head chef. I am head cleaner.

I've been putting this LG induction range through its paces, and I'm impressed! The sleek, Print Proof Stainless Steel finish easily wipes clean and looks great in my kitchen. The oven interior features a beautiful dark blue color.Prepping the Oven for Use\nBefore diving into cooking, I followed the manufacturer's recommendations for preparing the oven. Here's what I did:\nChecked the oven's operation: Turned on the oven and ensured all the functions seemed to be working correctly (lights, heating elements, etc.)\nBurn-off any residue: After checking functionality, cranked the temperature up to 450 °F and left the oven on for at least an hour. This helps remove any manufacturing oils that might cause smoke or odors during your first baking adventures.\nInduction Cooktop Features\nThis range utilizes induction technology, which means your cookware must be magnetic to function. Luckily, my trusty cast iron pans work perfectly! Here are some additional cooktop features I appreciate:Automatic shut-off: If you forget to turn off a burner after removing the pan, the cooktop will play a tune and shut off after a few minutes. However, you'll still need to manually turn the knob to off for complete control.Residual heat indicator: The cooktop will display a warning and remain hot for a while after use, with a cooling fan running.Audible timer: The built-in timer is easy to use with simple buttons and an audible alert when finished.Timer monitoring with LG app: While the LG app lets you view the timer countdown on your phone, unfortunately, it doesn't send phone notifications when the timer goes off. One minor detail to note: After a thorough cleaning with the recommended cleaner and with the overhead vent light on, I discovered a rough spot that appears to be a small chip on one of the heating element dots. It wasn't noticeable under normal lighting conditions, and thankfully it hasn't affected the functionality of the cooktop in any way. The oven boasts a surprisingly quiet fan and offers a variety of cooking options, including:\nBake\nConvection Bake\nConvection Roast\nBroil High/Low\nWarm\nKeep Warm\nProof\nFrozen Meal\nAir Fry\nAir Sous Vide\nThere's also a dedicated setting for proofing dough, and the included probe is perfect for precise roasting. The oven even features a self-cleaning cycle for those deep cleaning needs. The storage drawer beneath the oven is a nice touch, and it can easily hold the air fryer rack. The included rear filler is designed to fill the gap between the range and the wall. However, I found it a bit flimsy and difficult to clean, so I opted to remove it. Overall, I'm very happy with this LG induction range.

I am giving one less star because new technology isn’t always better. Overall, I really like the new range! Easy to clean, heats up quick, cool blue color on the inside of the oven. \nCons; buttons are on the front with a slide in stove, and the lock feature only locks when the stove is not in use. For example, if I want to set the oven and put the lock on, I cannot. So if I am using the stove I have to be right by it in order for my child to not hit any buttons. On the plus side, most of the turn knobs, have a child safety prevention by push and squeeze to turn on. However, the oven dial does not have this feature. The reason for the four star is because the touchscreen is either not responsive or too sensitive. Instead of real click buttons. The timer is ridiculously sensitive to touch and skips up by 10’s, making it tough to set a timer for under 10 minutes. Overall though it is a very good stove! The “rapid boil” burner heats up water super fast. And the oven light has a timer built in so that it shuts itself off within a couple of minutes, which could be a pro or a con depending on the individual. I would recommend this stove to someone looking for a new slide in electric!

This range is awesome. It's full of all the features that LG typically puts in its "Studio" line. The LED lighted burner knobs are wonderful to see from across the room if the stove is on and I find myself using the knock twice to turn on the oven light a lot. The range comes with a broiling pan and even a pizza stone. The oven keeps its temperatures in a very consistent and narrow range though I do have to say that it has a very strange heating profile. On Bake at 350 degrees or below it's what you would expect - almost exactly the right temperature - but at 351 degrees the oven jumps up to 379 degrees! This was measured with 2 mechanical oven thermometers and a calibrated digital thermometer - all reporting the same thing. This jump is consistent and the temperatures the oven bakes at are very consistent and reproducible. I've included a temperature range table for you to reference if you're interested in having the oven cook at an actual temperature. The good news here is you can use their adjustment setting to easily correct the temperature to what it should be, however since it's not uniformly high or low you have to adjust the offset every time you bake. Not a huge deal and the oven cooks extremely well. I've confirmed this behavior - same amount of temp bump as well - on another LG oven as well so it seems to be intentional. Two other improvements I'd like to see are, 1) the main burner knob has 3 separate high-low ranges for the 3 different size burners you can select. It's great and the multiple size burner is fantastic, but if there was a three pole switch for how big the burner was then just 1 high low on the dial that would be more user friendly I think. 2) This is really minor, but the oven bezel does not light up when the oven is on. It looks identical to the ones that do light up but then doesn't. Finally I have to give LG credit for listening to its customers and updating designs accordingly, the negative reviews of previous products of theirs all talk about the knobs getting bumped on too easily. This oven DOES NOT have that problem. It has a great and child safe new knob design that you have to both squeeze a lever and push in the knob for it to start turning. \n This completely addresses that problem. If you don't want the extra security they also provided an easy way to disable it. I'd highly recommend this range to anyone who is looking for a slide in electric range.

Installed this in our kitchen is our primary oven. \nThe blue inside is pretty, the Chrome outside of the black top is very attractive and stylish. The buttons and knobs are easy to use, perhaps too easy sometimes - more on that. \nThis oven has a convection setting, we use it to bake cookies. They turned out fantastic. We use it to bake muffins, they also turned out fantastic. \nBecause of the air circulation inside this oven, our kitchen does not get as warm as it used to. This is very good given our area. It will be 100° most of the summer long and my wife bakes all of the time. It's worked well on gluten-free bread and pizza crusts as well. \nThere's only one element in this oven, it is on the top . Worst regulation makes it unnecessary to have an element on the bottom. Of time is better than our old oven, and as mentioned, our kitchen does not get as hot as it used to given the same cooking habits. \nThe inside is blue, very unexpected and very pretty. The ceramic seems very strong. Hasn't had any scratches yet. \nThe cooling tray on the bottom is shallow, it still handles about 5 in of flat pans. Bakeware. The drawer slides are incredibly well built on bearings. Removal is not impossible but difficult, it slides very well and evenly. \nMany people have noted it is easy to turn on the oven top accidentally. This is truer than I thought it would be. The oven does make a noise. If you happen to turn it on it will beep to let you know you have changed the settings. There is a very easy to use control lock button to keep the top from use unexpectedly. As we have a microwave over the oven, it is very easy to bump and turn the control knobs on a front while reaching into the microwave. Something to be wary of, and if you have children extra careful you need to be. Use the control lock! \nThe top cooktop has many settings. The front two burners have more than one size burner under the glass. The back two burners are both small, and the center burner in the back only warms - as designed. It is not a 5th "burner". Not terribly difficult to keep clean, just wipe it down after each use. If you make a mess, clean it up and you won't have any trouble with the rubber around the edges, as nearly all glass cooktops have these. \nOverall, we like the oven, it sings when it's done, it warms up quickly, creates less heat than our previous unit while baking, and the cooktop seems durable for a glass surface.

Was able to keep a few gallons of water at a low simmer for an hour with little adjustment. Baking thus far has worked well. Used an electronic thermometer to check oven temperature, and it seems to regulate properly. Checked the air sous vide mode with a thermometer also. Set it to 135. On the other hand, you have to be careful when standing in front of the range because if your body touches one of the knobs, it turns the stove on and you may not be aware of it. We've been looking for a replacement to our high end name brand dual fuel range (gas range, electric oven) for a while, and when we saw this LG electric induction range we knew we had found the range for change!\n\nWe have owned other LG products, but never a large kitchen appliance. As with the other LG products we have owned, this range has exceeded our expectations for the most part. Why? A lot of things:\n\nThe glass induction cooktop - easy to clean and maintain. No more having to remove burner covers, having places where old food debris can get stuck, etc. The clean lines and design add to the nice looks.\n\nInduction cooking - We've never had an induction cooktop. Fortunately, most of our cookware is suitable for use with induction, and what a difference! You can't describe how quickly food heats up - it's amazing! To add to the fun, it allows you to cook - faster! A feature we really enjoy and appreciate is the cooktop's ability to "sense" if a pot or pan is compatible for induction cooking. You can literally "test" your pots and pans for compatibility and efficiency! \n\nThe convection oven with temperature probe preheats quickly and even sings you a song when it's ready for use or done cooking. The blue finish is really nice, and seems to prevent sticking of food if it gets on the surface.\n\nAll is not roses, however. While our overwhelming opinion of this range is extremely high, we did find one feature that we weren't happy with - but - there may be an issue with "operator error," we're not sure. The air fryer feature, used as directed in the owner's manual, did not cook the food as expected. This may not be an issue for the range, it could be a matter of understanding on our part. We're continuing to research this as we use the range more and get comfortable with the ustilization of all of its features.\n\nIn summary, we highly recommend this LG range. Induction makes cooking amazingly fast and easy to control precisely. The oven is large and has room for lots of food, and cooks it well. The controls are easy to use and see. Another excellent LG product!

My wife and I recently got the LG Probate Smart Induction Range, and it has quickly become the best induction range we've ever owned. Having used induction ranges before, we appreciate the numerous safety features they offer. Unlike traditional electric ranges, the surface of an induction range doesn't heat up directly. Instead, it uses silent vibrations to heat the metal of your cookware. This means your pots and pans get hot, cooking your food, while the range top remains relatively cool. This particular model boasts five heating elements, providing ample space for cooking multiple dishes simultaneously.\n\nIt's important to note that induction ranges require induction-compatible cookware, typically made of stainless steel, cast iron, or ceramic with an induction-compatible coating. The efficiency of induction cooking is remarkable, heating things up much faster while using less energy.\n\nThis LG range is packed with unique features. The "ultra heat burner" is fantastic for achieving a true simmer or a rapid boil. A particularly clever feature allows you to press the control lock and the number one on the digital display simultaneously. Then, by placing your pot on different burners, the range identifies the optimal burner for that specific pot.\n\nThe pro bake convection oven is incredible for even cooking. The built-in air fryer is perfect for achieving crispy wings, and the "air sous" setting uses low-temperature air circulation to lock in moisture, making it ideal for cooking steaks.\n\nAdditional features include a tap-to-illuminate oven light, burner lock, easy clean setting, and smartphone app integration for remote oven control.\n\nAfter several weeks of use, we are thoroughly impressed with this induction range. Its beautiful design, solid construction, and innovative features have earned it a well-deserved five-star rating.

This LG range has many features we like: convection oven, two settings for broiling, 5 burners, and an air fryer. The controls are on the front (unlike the range we had before which were in back), presumably so that it isn't necessary to reach over pans and hot surfaces to adjust the controls. Overall, that seems like a good idea, however, the controls can be easily reached by a toddler. Because of that the controls have a control lock for safety. A minor point is that we didn't run our short 4" backsplash across the back of the range area on the wall because the the controls on the old range were about 10" tall. We now have to add a backsplash feature on the wall behind the range. We have plenty of leftover ceramic and glass tiles to do the job, so it's just a matter of deciding on a design and getting it installed.\n\nWe are still getting used to the oven temperature settings. In case we find they run hotter or colder than the set temperature it is possible to adjustment the setting to match actual temperatures - a very nice feature. (Our last range always ran hotter than the set temperatures which created problems when a guest used it without knowing that.) We will be trying the "proof" option in the oven when we start making bread again. It's very thoughtful that the proof temperature is available in the controls. Our only suggestions are that it should come with 3 racks instead of 2 and the brief manual that came with the stove did not indicate how to change the "broil" settings. It was not immediately obvious, and it took 2 of us to figure it out!\n\nThe stovetop burners can be set at a low setting (between "low" and "1") that will keep a pan at a low simmer without boiling over, something else the old range didn't do well. We're very pleased with this range.

If I had been able to see it in person I'm fairly sure I would not have chosen it. I do like the induction feature. i doee heat up very quickly and cool down quickly as well. But the control panel on front is a bit of a nightmare for me. Who had the dumb idea of putting the control data in pale grey on a black background?? It is impossible to see the controls easily. Plus, they are very delicate - the + and - settings for the timer, for instance, either require me to press slowly one digit up or down at a time or else, if I hold my finger on the control just a second too long, suddenly it's whizzing up to 20, 30, 40 in a flash. As a former publisher, I believe in good contrast, not grey-scale on black. Also, the cooktop surface seems extremely fragile. The first meal I cooked, I used my flat-bottomed wok because I hadn't received the induction-safe cookware I had ordered. Sadly, when cleaning up, my husband found a "smudge" or slight abrasion that he couldn't remove, even with the special cleaner provided. So it looks like I can't safely use my wok on this stove, even thought the bottom is flat and feels smooth to the touch. I haven't tried the air fry or convection functions yet but I expect they will work as intended since the oven is fine. But if you can visit a store that has one on display, I highly recommend you do so because the controls definitely leave a lot to be desired.

There is a slow cooker, frozen meal, bake, convection back, convection roast and then the smart feature. When set to the smart feature you can kick the oven on to preheat before you get there. When just around the house, my phone gets an alert with the oven has preheated. Just some nice additional features. Not something that I couldn’t live without. I am very pleased with this range to date. Can’t wait to keep cooking and baking for many more years. I mentioned the last range was a dual oven. This meant that we did not have storage. This LG has a storage drawer on the bottom. This was nice to store the broiler pan and the air fryer basket that came with the oven. And the inside being a blue color was an unexpected peck. It just shines and looks good.

I love everything about the range except that the labels on the front are hard to read. They should either be lit up or a brighter, bolder colour. Also, it would be nice if the oven light lit up the front of whatever is baking, so you're not looking at a shadow of what is in the oven.

The slats of the racks in oven are too wide and pans tip sideways. Especially loaf pans. And a standard size pizza that cooks directly on rack will bend and drip cheese if not positioned just right because the slates are just too wide.

- The first impression of our installed LG Smart Electric Range with Fan Convection and Air Fry is how sleek the glass-topped stove is with the front-mounted knobs compared to our previous stove with the backsplash knob panel. With children and pets in the house, we're thrilled to find out that we can lock the control knobs so they can't be accidentally turned on.\n- We were switching from gas to electric so we had to move the gas pipe out of the way and upgrade the existing electric from 3-prong to the current 4-prong for this stove. Once the prep was completed the stove slid into place easily and hooked up. There was a space where the stove met the wall, but installing the provided spacer solved the problem. \n- We tried out all the burners and were happy to find that all the different kinds of pot and pan materials are compatible with the glass cooktop. We'll simply be careful sliding any scratchy cast iron pans. The five burners in various sizes and heating capacities are amazing. I think the smaller, back middle burner for keeping things warm will be great.\n- I haven't put the the oven's ability to air fry, bake, convection bake, broil, and dough proof to the test yet, but am looking forward to baking the first loaves of homemade bread! I also think the 10-minute EasyClean feature is going to come in handy as a weekly maintenance feature for keeping the oven clean in between big cleanings.\n- The smart technology was easy to set up with the Apple Home App to link to our iPhones. After that we downloaded the Eve App for additional features. We're still figuring all of this out, but it will be fun to discover all of the possibilities!
