[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our family upgraded from a front load washer and conventional dryer from a competitor. The wash tower was ideally going to give us space back in our laundry room with a permanent stacked solution to store more daily items like towels, cleaning solution, etc. \nThe washer is noticeably bigger at 5.0cuft vs 4.2 from our old washer. The “turbo wash” feature sprays water at the clothes vs only having them fall into water. This cuts down the time it takes to wash clothes. This allows for better cleaning according to lg and consumer reports. Turbo wash has been around for years with LG. LG has been consistently rated at the top of consumer reports for both washing and reliability.\nThe dryer does a great job, it simply takes a bit longer to do the same drying load. Regular loads take about 90mins. Bedding loads take over 3 hours for only drying, but they do come out very dry and not in a ball like I have experienced with conventional driers. It’s also supposed to be cheaper to dry because the heat is getting recovered.\nI do recommend this combo unit so far, but there are areas of improvement that could push it to 5 stars. If this unit lasts over 10 years with a few software improvements, no reason I wouldn’t easily push it to 5 stars.\nHere are some items to consider:\nWith a stacked washer, you can no longer put your liquid soap on top of the washer and easily dispense it. You will have to use the cup or lift the entire bottle.\nWith the heat pump dryer, it will take a little longer to dry and cleaning the filter each cycle is a must to keep the condenser in tip top shape. You will also have to rinse the filters in the sink every 10 loads. It’s more “maintenance” items, but the energy savings could be worth it. The filter is a very fine screen that has two parts to it that we use a hand vacuum on between loads. \nThe control panel options are fewer than I would prefer. I have to use my phone to do an air fluff (no heat cycle for air dried items), sanitary, or allergenie cycle. As of right now, the allergenie and sanitary cycles are not available for download, but I am hoping LG changes this soon. I also desire to put the spin on max speed as default and that’s not an option. Rinse and spin is also not a readily available option.\nWhile heat pumps have been around for decades, they are relatively new for dryers. Time will tell how reliable they will be.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasnt sure how i would feel about a Washtower. It seemed like a massive appliance, similar to a fridge. However, I decided to take the plunge because I realized a Washtower, while big, saved me a ton of space compared to two separate units sitting side by side. So i went for it and I must say the LG Washer WKHC252HBA is a beauty. With a massive washing machine on the bottom end and a massive dryer at rhe top. \nOh and did I mention it's ventless? This was another new bit of technology I knew nothing about, but was excited to see what the hype was over. \nBeing ventless means the unit won't blow hot moist air into the home, and this is amazing for people who do laundry in their basements. No need to plug in a dehumidifier to keep the room clear of molds.\nVentless also saves on electricity. Win win if you ask me.\nBoth units are front loading with a lot of space so it's less loads needed. \nA normal full load ran for 42 minutes washing. The drier however ran a little longer. Even on the speed setting it was 1 hour and 40 minutes. \nI believe this to be standard so I have no issues there. However my clothing was fully dry with 30.minutes left on the timer. So this is indeed something LG needs to look into. \nBeyond this I love that the dryer has 2 lint traps. This is to keep any loose hairs or debris free from your clothes. \nOne wash in and immediatley I could tell I made an amazing choice and man what a stunning upgrade to my laundering needs! \nI feel like I have a laundry station now with new space for a launder table to place my detergents. \nInstallation was a breeze and I did it myself. It has 2 hoses. One for the washer and one for the dryer. It merges into one hose making everything simple and easy to install. \nBoth the washer and dryer have built in led lights that leave the machine looking classy and high end. \nThis is what I love about the washtower in general. It looks high end, it works high end and it is high end. The quality is solid and one look atbthis dream tower and it's easy to tell why LG appliances are in a league all their own. \nThe Good\nBeautiful\nHigh quality\nStunning results in clothing\nLess energy consumption \nThe Bad\nDryer time seems extended vs what's truly needed to completely dry clothing. \nOverall\nI'd recommend this washtower unit to anyone looking to replace their washer and dryer. The 10 year warranty alone is worth its weight in gold. I couldn't be happier.

So many good things to say about this LG stackable washer and dryer set! We cannot currently install it as our build out is not yet complete. Our current dryer works great, but it is loud! It always has been. We just got use to it. We plugged the LG dryer in to do a test run because I was curious about how loud it would be - OMG it is night and day quieter! I had no idea a dryer could be this quiet. I am now pushing the contractor to get the build out for the washer/dryer unit done asap! \n\nFirst this is a very attractive set. Clean front, flush slide in and will look great in any room you put it. I love the small footprint of using a stackable system. \n\nWinning features of this Single Unit LG WashTower with Center Control 5.0 cu. ft. Front Load Washer and 7.8 cu. ft. Electric Ventless Heat Pump Dryer in my opinion is it's sheer capacity to handle larger loads! I wash comforters and sleeping bags every few months and I do not like going to the laundromat. With it's mega & ultra large capacity 5.0 cu.ft. Washer and 7.8 cu.ft. dryer it can handle everything I need it to. On the flip side, I really appreciate the quick wash load feature because I often need to do a quick smaller load and I have the peace of mind I am not wasting water or energy. \nThe new technology dual inverter HeatPump and the ventless feature on the dryer make this a cutting edge appliance and allows for use just about anywhere. I am curious where all the lent is going and I will have to spend some time reading the book on how to best use all the features. But the auto clean condenser boasts that it flushes away lint for better drying and energy efficiency! Washers and dryers have come a long ways in my many years! This thing is like a space ship! \n\nIt has AI technology! Which will select optimal wash & dry settings for me! This wash tower is really the perfect stacked unit in my opinion. What I really love most about it is the controls for both units are in the center. Not up really high above the dryer like most stacked units. It makes it very comfortable for my wife and doesn’t require a stool. The aesthetics are spot on and since this is in a tight closet off our living room where it’s always seen it looks great. This was delivered by Home Depot and the appointment time was easy to set up, the driver called an hour before arriving, and the two delivery guys were very friendly and professional. They hooked up everything to the new machine and placed it in an impossibly tight spot that I would never be able to do myself. They even ran both the washer and dryer to ensure everything was functioning properly before leaving. Just really top notch service. Being that this is a ventless dryer unit after each load the door must be kept open to allow any residual moisture to evaporate to avoid smells. Same for the washer. Both doors have a little magnetic hold that keeps the doors open enough but not wide open that they’re in the way. While I have found that on its energy saving mode drying a full load can take around 3 hours it uses significantly less electricity then a traditional dryer. As long as you don’t need to do many loads in one day this setting is great. You can use other settings to dry quicker but they won’t be as energy efficient. I’ve been using this for just about three weeks now and I’m very happy with its ease of use, how well it washes and dries and it’s added energy efficiency. One last thing to note is the lint filter. It actually has a double system of a lint filer inside a lint filter. I’m amazed at how well they trap the lint. I get about 2x as much as my previous unit that used to fling tons of lint out inside through the vent meaning lots of vent tube cleaning to avoid the risk of a fire.

We bought this LG washer/heat pump dryer in October 2023. Delivered and installed by Home Depot. The washer dryer has worked very well. I have sung its praises to everyone. I love how it dries. Until now! We bought a new stove and I was getting ready for delivery and installation. I pulled the cabinet between the stove and the washer/dryer to make sure there would be no problems with stove installation and found that my cabinet back corner was water damaged. I couldn't figure out how that had happened. I ran a load of clothes in the washer. No problems/water leakage. I dried the clothes and about halfway through the cycle the heat pump discharged water as it should except the water was spraying out of the dryer! After investigating with a mirror on a stick and my phone camera and looking online for installation videos, I found that the installers had not hooked up the dryer drain hose in the correct place. They just kind of stuck it into the back of the dryer! I couldn't see this problem when the cabinet was in place. Now 7 months of water has been spraying behind my unit. I don't know what damage it has done inside the machine. I have contacted Home Depot and they are supposedly going to send someone from the installers to look at it. I am hoping to get some feedback here from LG about what damage has been done inside. The installation is so easy after watching the LG video and reading the installation guide. I couldn't see what they had done on install day because they moved the machine back to the wall. Wonderful machine, terrible installation!

We added a utility for our extended live in family, in a Converted garage application. It fit perfectly behind the utility hot water closet door, (not shown installed completely, yet) awaiting finishing new drain line into adjacent sink. Pros: No vent required (remodel closet doesnt need one. LG heat pump compressor technology is the best in the industry.( Im in the industry, ).this has a INVERTER duty compressor, so lower cost to operate. The dryer moisture goes into a siamesed drain line with washer. Dryer takes usual amount of time to do a load. A Design plus: Unit can separate if you need to replace one half of the unit or the other. Not replace the set. But Its a full size dryer. this isnt a "apartment" compact unit. The functionality is simple but completely useful across all types of wash loads..wife LOVED this no stooping front door dryer. Cons: installation is tricky , the drains are important. A homeowner may consider a pro Plumber install. Uses 120 and a 240v separate circuits (why not one plug). Most utility closets have 2 breakers anyway.. Overall, The classic white blended well with the garage, wish i had a recent pic. Super nice unit did fits our garage perfectly.

We love this washer/dryer set. We're especially impressed with the large load capacity, along with the smaller footprint. Even the doors seem larger, which makes it easier to load and unload. The controls in the middle of the washer/dryer is convenient, and the control panel is easy to use with a nice display. The unit is so quiet that we never notice it running until the chime lets us know a cycle is complete. We are excited to try out the smart app and hook it up to our Alexa.\n\nThere seems to be a few less settings (like a white setting), and it definitely takes much longer to dry clothes (we add an additional 40 minutes for each drying cycle). It also adds heat to our laundry room. With that said, it offers significant energy savings.\n\nThis is the perfect washer/dryer for a room that cannot vent. Overall, we are very happy with it so far!

Since we were doing a built in for extra cabinet and countertop, we decided to go with the heat pump to keep from having to deal with a longer dryer duct\r\nBe sure and watch videos of how to install the unit .the hookup was hidden behind a piece of plastic tab that had to be broken off to get access.Had to buy a 10 ft cord really needed 6.5 ft as the next standard size up is 10 ft. HEAVY, and hard to push around. I added some heavy-duty furniture pucks. (see pic). These where foam based so the dryer legs still make contact with the floor.Be sure and check the level of the machine as this thing really spins up to a high drum speed so if will shake if not level.\r\nIt takes about 2 hours to dry clothes It still saves energy . It does link with Alexa but only to simply announcement

This is an awesome appliance. We are putting in an apartment in the basement for family to live in but an issue we had was we couldn't get a dryer vent out. This solved that since it is ventless. I had been leery of something new like this but having a heat pump that not only heats the air but then condences the water out of the air makes a lot of sense. So I gave it a try and I'm glad I did. The dryer just has a small drain hose that it drains all the water down the same drain as the washing machine. One thing to note is this does have 2 plugs for it a 120 plug and a 240 plug. Each appliance still has its own hookups. I do wish it had one plug and one drain hose but thats not how they made it. I love the lights inside both the washer and dryer. I love the conrol pannel in the middle so that shorter people don't have a hard time with the dryer controls. I think this is for sure the way to go if you want a stacking pair.

LG definitely got it right with this Washtower. First of all the capacity is amazing for the size of the unit at 5.o cu. ft. for the washer and 7.8 cu. ft. for the dryer. I have a small narrow laundry room in my beach cottage and space is always a premium. We removed the full size washer ( which just died) and dryer and replaced with this system. Takes up less than half of the space. My wife loves the central controls and all of the wash cycle options. Should help save on energy bills with the ventless design. I like the fact that I won't have a dryer vent dumping out onto my deck area. Had to take apart to get it up and into our place but it was simple just removing and reinstalling 10 screws. Overall we love it and would highly recommend.

Full size electric washer on the bottom and dryer on the top combowhat the control modules in the middle. Having the control modules all in one place makes it easier than ever to operate a stacked unit. Again, keep in mind this unit is fully electric and exhaust either internally or externally at your choice. I never thought a stack junior that was fully electric would be so easy to use. You do need 220v electric to make this work so you may need to call an electrician in like I had to. I chose to vent mine externally. It also has a built in sensor to detect moisture and automatically adjusted timing for drying. Of course, being a front load.It's so much easier to use as well.

The LG Washtower is a very nice product. It supplies all of the typically needed features one expects from a traditional washer/dryer combo. The unit has an advanced computer system that offers discrete controls for ease of operations. One very special feature is the removal of any conventional external dryer lint tube/hose that vents the collected lint in a filter and hose. The Washtower uses a unique capability to send the lint through a hose into the same drain as the washer uses. All in all we are quite pleased with this new state of the art stacked washer/dryer called the LG Washtower.

Bought this tower from LG and got quicker delivery than the big boxes could offer. It's tall and heavy, but has half the footprint our previous setup.Best of all, its ventless! DIY install was easy, requiring separate purchase of 30 amp power cord and two water supply lines from any hardware store.Very happy with the performance.The heat-pump dryer works and matches the selected level, from less dry to dry as a bone, without heating up the room.Both washer and dryer are unbelievably quiet. The mid-height control panel makes them both easy to use. I think we're really happy with this choice.

I previously had 10 year old LG front load washer and dryer and the wash tower is a huge upgrade in technology. I downloaded the LG app and it has a lot of great features like alerts when my laundry is done, reminder to clean the machines and energy usage. The wash tower gets my clothes really clean/fresh and I love how much of a space saver it is, it fits in my laundry closet perfectly.

It's been easy to use, load and even comes with an app. I dabbled with downloading a wash cycle and I really like using that! The delay start is a life saver! The utensil rack is so unique and awesome! I put all kinds of things on there and don't have to worry about them getting lost and flung around. The two bottom racks are spacious and fit a large variety and quantity of dishes. Overall, I would recommend and have not had any problems!

Delivered in a timely manner. I paid for installation and the two guys were very efficient. They came with new water hoses and power cord. Took less than 30 minutes to be completed. Took away all the packaging. Very clean installation. Looks great. I also bought the Thomasville cabinets from the Home Depot - Rita Ranch - in Tucson AZ. The cabinets fit perfectly in the small, outdated laundry room. Thanks Dave. We are very happy with the new laundry room.

So far, I love it. The integrated unit is a space saver, and looks very stylish. (I'm not sure why the black model is $200 more than the white. It's not bigger.) I went with the ventless because I eventually plan to move the unit into a new laundry closet and this will eliminate the need to punch a hole to the outside. It's very quiet, and I the drying time seems okay for me, even with bed linens. (I try not to overload and that probably helps.)

The first thing I noticed was, it is very quiet. Secondly, the whites were noticeably whiter. The washer has turbo wash; five jets that spray onto your clothes. This is perfect for items like mattress covers, as it soaks them instead of waiting for the fabric to pick up water from the bottom. Both washer and dryer have lights, and a steam option. This ventless dryer excels, as it dried a thick mattress cover in less than an hour.

The LG Ventless washer dryer tower exceeded my expectations. We had it for less than a month. In the first week we washed and dried 7+ loads in the normal settings. I was concerned about the dryer but clothing was dry and very warm to the touch. I read complaints about clothes not drying but that was not our experience. It does take longer to dry but it's no bother to us. The next thing we want to monitor is energy efficiency.

The washer is the best, and after the spin cycle everything comes out just damp and ready for the dryer. This heat pump dryer does not seem to take much longer to dry, and everything comes out totally dry unlike my old dryer.

Installed this wash tower on January 11th 2024. We have used it quite a few times and are very pleased with the ease of operation. Everything is very self explanatory. The clothes are very clean for being eased for a short time shorter than a regular washer.\nThe dryer drys exceptionally well and the clothes are not over dried with a lot of heat . It is wonderful not to have a dryer duct no more lint flying around.
