After much research, I bought these Mohawk carpet tiles (in Beige) several weeks ago. It's worth getting the samples first to make sure the color is what you want. I have very slippery ceramic tile throughout my living room and a senior dog with arthritis who would slip and fall (then couldn't get up on his own). I chose the Mohawk carpet tiles since I wanted something that is both removable AND would stay in place. After reading the reviews, I bought the Mohawk Flexlok adhesive tabs; they are worth it--allow you to reposition the squares without too much drama if you made a mistake on placement (and I made several). I also bought some non-skid rug pads to put beneath to make sure it didn't move during rough play by younger dog. So far (almost a month) this is holding up wonderfully. Easy to vacuum, doesn't shift, and I have not once seen the dog fall. This is almost like office carpet--not very thick, but perfect for traction for your senior dog. I was going to just do pathways, but liked it so much I covered whole living room. Looks great (I did the checkerboard install style) and was very easy to install. Helped my son install these in his basement. All tiles were generally in good condition, a few we set aside to use on the edges where we had to cut to fit to cut off some iffy edges.\nRoom is basically 21x10 with one side having an outdent so on that end was only 8'6".\nLaid it all out on grid paper ahead of time so no edge pieces were too small.\nPut down all the full pieces first, then worked our way around the edges where we had to cut to fit.\n\nOut of pure dumb luck we installed the tiles with the direction arrows pointing along the long side of the room, making the majority of edge cuts easier as they went with the "grain".\nUsed the adhesive tabs at all the intersections, and since we had extra, also put some in the middle of the edge of adjoining squares where chairs around the table for the room might exert some force if people try to slide their chairs on the tiles.\n\nOnly slight complaint is I wish the sticky sides of the adhesives was marked off in quadrants to better align them between tiles.\n\nTook the two of us 5 hours to complete the room.

Also had to check every tile, because of the off angle thread pattern, some areas on the side had the thread half way cut through, then the other half fell out and left a bare open gap. Was able to use those tiles as the exterior pieces and cut out the open gap. But still a frustrating. Other than that, they installed easy, look nice, are easy to remove and replace or clean, while still staying solid and secure on floor. I installed with the flex lok pads.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great carpet tile, it has the functionality of easy replacement when major damage occurs but it also has good color variation that allows grace with any dirt build up. I love the medium denim blue color, it is a nice neutral blue. The tight loop on the carpet provides strength & structure. Install was a cinch because it is easy trim each square to size if needed versus wrestling an entire roll of carpet. Highly recommend!

The carpet is nice and went down easily. I used Roberts indoor/outdoor double sided carpet seam tape to glue it down on the concrete floor in our breezeway. It has been down for only a week so far, put do not think there will be any problems with doing it this way. We wanted to be able to pull up a square if needed for replacement. I will post if the carpet does not stay down as expected.

Not only does it look great, but it was easy to put down and functions well. I would say it's a rather high-traffic area and it's doing great! I would highly recommend them!

Thought I might use these in the kids play room, but they are not cushiony enough for that. These are applied directly to floor without carpet pad. I installed these in my unfinished basement to make it a little more "finished" feeling. They were easy to install and made the place look a lot more inviting. They are not cushiony like carpet with padding. They are more like what you'd see in an office.

It feels really good for as thin as it is. Easy to glue down. The only thing is, that the tile has some bad spots in it. Factory messups. But they were not so bad to get a bad rating. It looks and feels great. It went in a garage turned into sewing room.
