This is the least expensive Laptop with a Backlit Keyboard. That being said it has 32 gb HD which is better than the entry level 16gb but don't spend it all in one place. Some people don't like the screen but for the price of hamburger. One reg USB only and 2 type C, Id rather 2 reg and 1 c but that s me. Overall very good , recommended for the price. I wish it had a camera sliding door or button to turn off but you cant have everything. Superb.

"Oh, no," I thought, as I looked at three Chronebook laptops, too aged to serve me. I grasp the technology, but hated the prospect of buying yet another computer. I decided on an HP Chromebook 14a. I'm glad I did because it has most features I need. It's fast on and easy to use. I wish it had more older USB ports, but it doesn't, and I have adopted. Hopefully, this will last three or four years until the next generation pushes me deeper into technology.

We purchased this item for my daughter to use to do school work. It is brand new and works wonderfully. We have no complaints. The battery life does run short if my daughter is using it to play games, but that's not an issue in my eyes, as that's not what we intended its use to be when we purchased it. I know this laptop comes in a touch screen version, but we did not purchase that version.\nSetting up was a breeze!

The only thing that makes this laptop not a five star purchase is its LACK of the memory card reader.\n\nEven though it claims to have one.. i promise you.. it doesnt. \n\nwell, mine doesnt anyway.\n\nthe machine looks nice.. is running even nicer and is being charged as we speak.\n\nBut the memory card reader... none exsistant.\n\nsorry guys.\nNot a Five Star. \nHowever i still like my chromebook a lot.

Generally pleased. Purchased to replace a Chromebook that was too old to update. Transfer of files,settings, and programs was seamless, Easily connected to my home network for remote work and printing.The very sensitive touch pad is problematic for me so I use a mouse.Good for web browsing, light word processing, and remote connection to my MS laptops and Linux desktops.

Bought this as a replacement for a Windows 10 desktop. It does everything I need to do and is much faster, especially booting up. I use a couple of Linux versions of Windows programs (Gnucash and Musescore) which work great. All my peripherals were very easy to set up... Printer/scanner, webcam, dual monitors, sketch pad and so on.

Super fast, reliable, and perfect size (14" screen). I moved on from my old laptop and had to learn to work on the cloud a bit, but this Chromebook was super easy to set up and is lightning fast. Great price for something that has full security and does everything you need it to. I miss my old back-lit keyboard, but otherwise this is perfect.

Great price for $200. Im not a Chromebook user, but after playing around with it, great value HP! Yes, its a TFT display, but so is my old Toshiba C55-A which gets the job done. I dont game, watch few movies...just spreadsheets and documents.\n\nBought Chromebook for my mom...very limited computing needed and this product fits her needs.

The Chromebook works fine. I bought it to replace another HP Chromebook that broke down. But the lettering on the keyboard is so faint that it is difficult to see in low light conditions. Because I touch type it works out okay except for when I need to use unusual characters for things like passwords or numbers. \n\nOther than the keyboard issue, this Chromebook feels a little more cheaply made, but the battery lasts a long time and the machine is light and easy to carry. I'd buy another one, but I would have opted for a machine with better marking on the keyboard.

The touchscreen is very responsive though useless as a feature for the laptop due to it not being foldable. Additionally, the laptop simply cannot handle running more than a few open tabs or apps at a time without slowing down to a halt. Even fresg out the box, the screen would freeze on the window I was on and I would have to restart the computer sometimes more than once just to get it to go back to normal. Since it chrome os you can't download any games worthwhile even with steam beta, and regardless the laptop just doesn't have the processing power to do much in thr first place. I can do basic tasks like sending emails and using Google Docs which is the bare minimum, but even doing that puts strain in the laptop. The only pro I have for this is the battery life as the laptop lasts all day and has a counter to show when it will run out battery.

Great deal. I needed something small and light just for basic internet browsing and occasional streaming, as well as weekly Zoom meetings. This fit the bill. I can plug in my headset or use the speakers/mic on the device, there are enough USB-A and USB-C plugs for my accessories. Turns on quickly. Exactly what I needed.

We're used to windows laptops, so this is rather different for us. The gray on gray keys makes it hard to see the letters. It's ok for the price and for doing simple things like surfing the internet or checking your email but not for people who do a lot of things with their laptops.

Everything an old guy needs to read news, check sports, bank and just surf the web. Connected to my HP printer with no issues. I don't video edit or face time and I don't trade stocks online. Compatible with you tube tv so that's a plus. Perfect for my needs. Price didn't hurt either.

Still having problems connecting each day with my email site, even though we have high speed internet. Geek squad was unable to help since my Chromebook picks up emails consistently in the store. Must be our connection here. Will get in touch with HP

The computer was advertised as having a lighted keyboard which was a requirement for a gift to somebody. The computer does not have a lighted keyboard but after setting everything up she decided not to kill me for getting her a computer without a lighted keyboard. It works fine.

love my new chromebook. very easy set up. and its all i need in a laptop. only thing i dont like is the keyboard..its all gray and the keys blend in. wish the letters n numbers were a darker color.. but other than that love it. and i got it at a cheap price around christmas..

Price is amazing, laptop is beautiful, runs for days on same charge, I love that my phone connects to it and I can play all my games and send messages without using my phone, being able to download all apps from playstore is a + perfect for what I need

I am pleased with the Crome Computer. I order the Blue color shown and received a White One. However I needed the computer for virtual learning for my grand so I did not want to go through an exchange. Stilll I am very pleased.

Great Chromebook for everyday web browsing and checking email. My only complaint is the letters/numbers/symbols on the keys are hard to see because they are gray instead of black.

Works great. Battery life is excellent. Lightweight. Perfect travel laptop. Most of my work travel is one or two nights at most and I dont even bother packing the charger for those trips because I wont need it.
