I bought the 55" A90j Master Series back in 2022 when it was pretty much new and have been using it without issue ever since. Easy automated software updates for the remote and TV are convenient to keep me updated. I bought the TV to take advantage of some features for the PS5. These two devices connect seamlessly together with the highest quality graphical settings available. My only complaints with the TV are: (1) it doesn't close apps, it leaves them open for fast switching. But let's say you have a lot open, like Netflix, Hulu, Max, Prime, etc., it can slow things down. (2) The TV will "crash" randomly sometimes. This may be connected to problem #1 I mentioned, and I also think it's an ANDROID TV issue and not a hardware issue with Sony. But I've literally had to unplug the TV from the wall before just to reset it. Usually it turns right back on and boots up with no issues. But it can be annoying sometimes. I'd say this happened maybe like 15-ish times in the 3 years I've had the TV. (3) The remote battery life seems to be horrible. The remote does this thing where if you touch it a backlight turns on so you can see it in the dark. It's a nice feature, but it seems to DRAIN the tiny AAA batteries. When your remote battery is low it'll pop up on the TV and tell you, which is also nice. But expect to see that popup every few months... Forever. (4) You ever hear anyone say the blacks are too black? Lol. Well, with this OLED the blacks are too black. The issue is the default setting on the TV is to basically negate color all together on any part of the image that's black. So yes, this does make for "deeper" blacks but sometimes it's VERY hard to see what's going on. It took me a bit to figure out how to adjust these picture settings, especially while gaming. But you can adjust not just the contrast to almost an infinite range, but also the way the hardware adjusts the black level. If you don't like it so dark because you can't see what's happening in movies and games then you can turn a slider down from the settings, causing the TV to add artificial color to black areas, essentially making them more of a dark grey, allowing you to see them better. \r\n\r\nOverall, great TV. Would definitely buy the next in line if I could afford it lol.

I can't talk technically (it's all modern stuff now !) \n\nI moved house and promised myself a better TV system and so I toddled of to the local tv dealer in our town to view and talk about tvs , I felt it may be important to inform him I have been a staunch Samsung believer and have been for many years ! \n\nI had a quick demo ( that's all that was needed really) of a couple of TVs of varying types normal HD but the newer types and the OLED ones ! Being an old fan of HD TVs when you view that type it's as if someone was a dirty piece of plastic in front of the screen compared to the Bravia OLED 55” , that was crystal clear and bright ! \n\nJust a quick view was all that was really needed and once I'd seen the Sony Bravia models , the clarity , colours and sharpness of them I knew that was the type I was going to buy , had to buy to be more precise , there was just no real comparison, yes they were more expensive but what the heck , the old house would pay for that and with a 5 year guarantee, what's not to like ? By by Samsung ! \n\nThe TV Engineers came on Wednesday to help set it up and they were very polite and efficient and did so and took away any unnecessary ‘bits and pieces! ‘\n\nSo now it was left to me to figure out all these apps and free to view programmes, well that in itself is another full booklet to describe and I thought I would be quite good at this , however it was dragging on but not affecting the football but I made my mind up that I would still purchase a second tv for my bedroom and the England matches were getting tighter as the games went on and the kick off times were not doing my sleep any good at all and especially at my age ! \n\nSo back to the retailers and without any hesitation (I knew which type I wanted) I did the deal on a Sony Bravia 48” this time , I was so impressed with the TV and picture quality etc it was not a hard choice at all ! \n\nI'm still finding my way around the new set ups, how to find this programme or switch back to normal tv , is there such a thing as normal these days ? \n\nI doubt it !

Nice upgrade. My 17 year old Sony 52 inch XBR LCD, which was top of the line when purchased, was still working great and I was happy with the picture and my Klipsch sound system. Sony builds them to last. This 65 inch Bravia 8 II is more like having a movie theater in our bedroom. I enjoy watching movies that I have seen before because I am watching them in full cinema mode. The picture quality is truly amazing. I am not using the Klipsch because the DAC unit I bought, and returned, just made popping sounds on the speakers. However, I am pleased with the sound that comes from the TV. The screen is the speaker. Voices are clear, the sound effects are good. I may do a Bravia sound bar and subwoofer later. I like the Google operating system. It is easy to set up, customize, and navigate. My Apple TV device, which was great on my old Sony, is hooked up but not being used. I like the Sony remote better than the Apple remote. It is better for forwarding and backing up the video. The side inputs are easier to access on this one vs my old Sony, when you have it wall mounted. The tech for TV is progressing to movie theater levels, which is nice, because I cannot stand the noise and distractions in a public theater. Now, if Hollyweird would just put out better content, the woke stuff is disgusting and unwatchable. It was easy to mount. I bought a USX full motion. My wife loves it too. She convinced me to upgrade. She is smart! :-)

Unrelated: I've owned a TCL for the past 7 yrs with small issues of freeze and restarts occasionally. This being said still my tcl is a great tv i would consider another one day. I decided to buy this Sony 65 for the OLED tech and based on reviews and being the 2023 tv of the year... I've owned it now for 3 months about and i love it! The quality is beyond my expectations I wouldn't hesitate to buy another! Motion option i choose to leave off but some people like it but i feel it makes movies look fake. Still a grwat feature which has 3 levels of adjustments. With the purchase sony includes their CORE app and gives 2 yrs of streaming on it with 10 movie tickets for any big name movies you want that just released. The picture quality is amazing compared to my LED tv hands down 10x better in clearness, color and the deepness of blacks. For the sale price i got it was worth it!.. Handle carefully this is a fragile tv near the top...! Google tv is awesome i actually like it more than roku. If anyone is hesitant don't be. It suggest similar movies and shows what i was watching from other apps in the same location which roku doesn't do completely. I hope my review helps others make a decision ln buying such an amazing tv. remember your buying the Technology that sony offers and also the OLED is actually made by LG but the tech is Sony like the chip they use and other hardware which is why this tv is such great quality.

The TV, image quality, control over picture, the ability to change things per input, sound, all seem to be amazing. \r\n\r\nThe worst thing about this TV is the WIFI and GOOGLE. I cannot get the WIFI to work, it just won't. I have reset my TV to get it to work for a few minutes. I've troubleshooted based on many online guides that have had the same issues and the TV won't connect to the internet for more that a few minutes. The fun thing about that, is the SONY PICTURES (BRAVIA) CORE APP, can't work, because the it is impossible to connect the TV to the internet. The next is GOOGLE, I hate smart TVs, but that is the future that we are in. I think I should have a start up screen that asks me inputs and that's it, but for whatever reason, Sony wants to partner with a data-driven selling company GOOGLE. If Sony would care about their consumers more, they would just let go of Google and put better wifi connections in the tv. So, my tv will remain with the WIFI off, and that's the best thing I can do. \r\n\r\nImage though, so nice.

Sony has always been, and probably always will be, the king of OLED TVs. Yes, you pay a premium, and I get that, but just like with high-end cars, this is the Cadillac of OLED. These guys basically invented the technology, and their quality is second to none.\nIt comes with Google TV built right in, so there's no need for any streaming dongles or extra attachments. Everything you need is already baked in, and the interface is smooth and easy to navigate.\nI love this TV so much that I actually bought two of them, one for the family room and one for the bedroom. I replaced my LG OLED with this one and haven't looked back since, and I don't plan to. The picture is that good.\nAgain, I know it costs more, but if you want a TV that will last, endure, resist burn-in, and come with a solid warranty behind it, you're buying real quality here. You get what you pay for, and with this one, you're getting the best. Highly recommend.

There is little doubt, this is an exceptional TV, Sony are now the top of their game compared to other brand which have sold themselves out to cheaper and poorer quality products. The look of the TV is ultra sleek, even the logo plays second fiddle to that amazing OLED screen. The sound, even on the standard setting is thunderously chest shaking!! just like the cinema. So why 4 stars? well 2 main and rather large criticisms, 1. The Settings: now I like to think of myself as 'tech savvy' but the amount of settings overwhelmed even me, for the average user it a constant toss up between energy use and improving the picture /sound settings which uses more power, to make the most of this TV it isn't for a novice user. 2. Data Collection: Its not just Sony who are guilty of this, but getting the TV set up is a quagmire of privacy and data notices that you agree or disagree too, I always disagree to the notices but since when did TVs because such an object to spy on their customers.

We fell in love with this TV seeing it on display and from online reviews knew it had amazing upscaling... how good though we had no idea! We have other friends with nice OLED TVs but none compare to the clarity when watching older TV show or DVDs. \r\n\r\nWhile we normally use our Apple TV, which works perfectly with it, but the included Google interface is very nice, easy to get around in and very fast. We purchased the Apple TV because our old TV's interface was slow and cumbersome.\r\n\r\nI have owned Sony TVs since the 70s and purchased another brand last time, it was a good TV but not a Sony. We are very happy to be back in our familiar Sony camp again!\r\n\r\nLast thing, even the packing and documentation was well done, it was like they thought of everything and the OTA updates have already added features we thought we might miss out on. Thank you Sony!

My wife and I are enamored of this television. The picture quality is outstanding, and the OLED technology means there\u2019s no glare on the screen. The Abt installers Joshua and Aidan made the delivery & installation a breeze! The picture quality is vibrant and provides sharp detail. It addresses one of my pet peeves with modern shows in which actors are reading text messages on their phones, for which on our old TV I\u2019d have to put it on pause and walk across the room to read it. Problem solved with the big screen! Since it\u2019s a Sony it also works seamlessly with our Sony Blu-Ray player. When the Blu-Ray player is powered up, it automatically changes the input to the Blu-Ray, and when the Blu-Ray is powered off, the input switches back automatically to the television. I can\u2019t recommend this television highly enough!

I don't use all the features because we use an Apple TV so I can't speak to all the features, which I am still exploring.\r\n\r\nSony is second to none for picture quality IMO. The picture is awesome and the sound coming coming straight out of the screen is pretty cool and sounds much better than the old down firing speakers our old Sony LCD screen had. The sound is fine without external speakers. We do not use a soundbar or surround setup.\r\n\r\nI gave it a 3 for build quality because this was the second one. The screen frame wasn't completely attached to the back of the first unit so we had to exchange it. This was the first time I've had a build issue with any Sony product, ever. I've probably owned at least a dozen Sony products over the years so I choose to chalk this one up as an exception.

Throughout my many decades on this planet I've always had access to a TV for free or acquired a TV for free. This is the first TV I bought myself. It's great and has many great features. But Google is flaky: sometimes when I say, "Hey Google, turn on TV" it says, "Something is wrong. Try again in a few seconds." And it generally does work on the 2nd try. But the bigger problem is if I ask it to go to "channel 7.1" or I just say "7.1" it takes me to YouTube and does a search in YouTube for "channel 7.1" or "7.1." Whereas other times it will actually take me to channel 7.1 on TV.\nThe other problem is sometimes the image stutters. This could happen with broadcast TV, but more so while playing a Sony Pictures Core movie. My internet connection is really good so I don't know why this would happen.

First off, this TV is great! I bought it to upgrade an older LG model television. It took a while to get it adjusted to the perfect settings, but WOW does it pop! The picture quality is astounding to say the least. The sound is also pretty good out the box, but a proper sound bar or external system makes all the difference. With this being my first Sony television, I am impressed but I wish that I would have gone with the 900 class for the 120hz. The motion blur can be a bit much with this model, but its not a deal breaker by any means. Also, make sure to invest in quality HDMI cables for a superior experience! Overall, i give this television 4 stars. Its a great set, with an awesome picture display. I should have invested a little more for an even better experience tbh...

I purchased the Sony 77" OLED and upon installation the picture quality is impressive. A bit of learning curve, I'm a videophile so wanted to deep dive into all of its features. After a bit to picture tuning over a bit of time I have the results I expected. The contrast, colour is the best I have ever had in my home. The only thing I'm still working on is working is its Bluetooth remote. I use a universal infrared remote control. Still figuring out how to implement that. In addition, the T.V speakers on its own blew me away. Great for people that may not connect an audio system to the OLED TV. Lots of useful features too via its Google application. I'm very pleased.

As all the online reviewer have already pointed out, this TV is not meant to be a mainstream OLED TV, the price per performance is simply not meant for this product to be sold to the general public who just casually walk into a store to buy TV. This TV is targeted to the ones who is a die hard movie lovers and who's money-is-no-issue. If you love to watch movie, this is the ultimate TV in 2021 for you. It have packed all the latest technology available as of this moment and it should last you a good 5-8 years in the future. I just hope that Sony will release the promised VRR update so this product will be able to have all the gaming feature the competitor have as well.

This is our 2nd Sony TV (first was X90J 50" which is still going strong after purchasing in Oct '22). The XR8B has a super crisp but natural image, very beautiful reproduction - can be set extremely bright if used in a sunny area. I love how thin the display is itself (1.5" or so, I believe) and can be wall mounted quite close to the wall for a great look. Both my partner and I love how Sony redesigned the remote - it's been significantly simplified and shrunk to be much more compact device. Would absolutely buy this TV again! Since these are smart TVs running Google OS, you'll need a Google account to use the TV if you want to use the built in smart TV features.

I just got this TV 3 weeks ago and WOW, the picture is absolutly amazing. The colors are just right, natural,real not amplified, the picture is extremely clear and sharp. I have had other Sony models but this one is the best by far, the sound is unbelievable with my external speakers watching my CableTV or Blurays. Everything about this TV is outstanding, I love the simple easy to use remote control with my favorite Apps on it. Taking it out of the box definatly takes two people and following the instructions there was no problems, the TV was a breeze setting it up after turning it on. Sony nailed it with this TV.

This Is A Wonderful TV, Incredibly Sharp Picture, Excellent Sound. I Have AppleTV Box, And It Retained All My Settings From The Previous TV, So Setting That Up Was Simple. The Initial Setup Was Not Too Bad, Sort Of A Pain To Type In Complicated Net Passwords, But Not Horrid. Was Not Frustrating. TV Is Easy To Connect To A Sound Bar, Remote Works Well. All In All I Am Extremely Happy. Price Was The Best Around. The TV Gets 5 Stars. The Shipping Was Not So Great. Took (too) Many Days To Be Delivered. Delivery From East Coast Was Handed Off To A Local Outfit That Preferred I Meet Them In Town ( I Live 10 Miles From Town Up 3000 Feet). Took Several Phone Calls To Get It To My House.

I bought this TV early July . At first I was hesitating cause it is in a room with a lot of lights and during the day there is some reflections . I watched Morbius on Bravia core and the movie have a lot of dark seens . All the details. Were perfectly seen but it seemed to me that I need more lights and colors . So I went to Best Buy and watched some dark seens on this tv and on the latest Samsung tv s25 I believe . And then I realized that the picture is amazing compared to the other one the brightness was practically the same Samsung was a bit brighter but lacking the details . So I decided to keep it .

Purchased after our first Sony Bravia finally got problems after 25 years!!!!! Not expecting that again but we wanted another Sony ! The brightness is great for our windowed family room. Sound is excellent. Only thing was we have Xfinity and needed a fire stick to get the app. I was disappointed but purchased the newest firestick and it is working fine. Wish Sony made this model in 77\u201d we would have bought it. But 65\u201d for our room is good. It fit on our previous stand. Putting it on the wall meant I\u2019d have to change my entire room. The Sony Bravia 8 11. Is excellent!

Haven't really figured out what this anomaly is in the screen. TV is completely off and even when it's unplugged this white bar appears in the screen at the bottom only viewable at a certain angle. TV shuts off once in a while for no particular reason, just shut off. One night my wife and I were sitting in here reading and a voice came over the TV and said, “something went wrong, please try again later“. also drops Wi-Fi signal pretty often while streaming TV is probably 15 away from Wi-Fi source. Other than those, “quirks“ TV seems pretty decent for the money. We also got the sound bar and sub woofer in the package and it adds a lot of depth.

We have only had our Sony for a few weeks but so far everything is great. Everything we watch has an excellent picture. From 4K Blue Rays (Top Gun: Maverick) to regular TV (Yellowstone) to sports (NFL Sunday Ticket). We choose the “vivid” picture setting for all our viewing. Even 30 year old movies on Netflix. Setup was super easy our apps where easy to find and log into. The only problem we found was in turning the set on the TV will automatically go to the apps rather than our Directv. But I’m sure that could be fixed in settings, I just haven’t looked yet. Very happy!

I originally wanted to buy Samsung or LG however the stands we're on the sides or too wide. I had a Sony triniton For almost 20 years still works. I also google how to put a Roku and AT&T TV however I needed space contemplated and cried for selling my Sony TV but I'm glad to be back because I really like Tony and I love my new tv. I love that I can cast my movies from my phone to the TV and the smart features\r\nMy parents also have a brava a 65 inch, It's an older model but I am upset that the built-in Netflix was taken out. Hope it doesn't happen with this TV

I purchased a 65 inch Sony TV. I was hesitant with the price overall. It has a great picture this is an OLED TV. I love the picture quality MOST of the time. It has a hard time keeping up with motion flow on some fast action pictures or even when Sports but 85% of the time it's great. Movie show are spectacular. I thought it would be a better TV when I have cheaper TVs at home that do not shutter or stutter trying to get the framework right. I have changed all the settings trying to set the TV up to the best specs. Even up in the motion flow and sometimes still get glitches. I hope there's an update soon to fix the glitching

The picture is too dark (even in low ambient light or complete darkness) except when you crank up all the picture settings to the bright settings, bright gamma and crank up the contrast. I have limited success using standard default picture modes including dolby vision. I stream thru Apple TV 4K using eARC input. When I do get the picture correct, it is \r\nbeautiful! The sound straight out of the TV is great. I never have to adjust color just the brightness, contrast, black levels, saturation, etc.. I am a professional photographer who understands monitor color and who uses color calibration on my work monitors.

Best perks of the TV are the color and the gaming features the come with it. I’ve never owned a 120hz TV but man does it make a difference. Smoothest gameplay I’ve ever experienced (playing with a PS5.) Besides the gaming, Dolby Vision and HDR10 looks great on here. The only thing I would critique is the brightness and the standard “vivid” display mode that the tv is set to at default. “Vivid” doesn’t give the TV a chance to boast its awesome graphics, but that can be fixed with customizing the tv settings the way you want. Again, GREAT TV.

I love my new TV. We've purchased many Sony Tv's in the past, but due to a house fire we've had to replace all of our TV's. This one is just like our other model Except, it's weird but when i turn it on my old one would automatically go to my tv stations, this one does once in awhile, but the majority of the time i have to push the TV button on the remote. Other complaint would be it tries EVERY SINGLE TIME I TURN IT ON IT WANTS TO FREAKING UPDATE. Enough with the updates unless it's a risk, i don't want a bazillion updates. PERIOD

Easy setup out of the box get you watching Tv quickly. Great features of tweaking sound and video setting to dial it in. I use a soundbar but sound from TV is very good. The big feature for me is Google Play Store alt of apps to install to make your TV viewing experience enjoyable. Dose a great job of recognizing Sony products Example DVD and Soundbar with no problems. The remote is way better then older models it lights up and compatible to Cable box's to control them, it did for mine.Very Happy with this Sony A90L OLED 65" TV
