A fantastic all around very flexible device with a nice feature set to accommodate almost any conceivable connectivity. So far I have tried all the features except coax and trigger even casting to airplay; all work well and sound excellent! I have a dedicated 2 channel rig as well as a fully balanced 7.1 channel surround theatre system with pro audio active speakers. Although the WiiM Pro Plus only outputs 2 volts at line level compared to the rest of my system that is at least twice that level and more, the WiiM still sounds quite excellent for consumer grade. The wireless and digital connectivity more than make up for the line level which I really only use to feed into a mixer/headphone rig anyway. In that setup I am very pleased for those late night listening sessions on HP's.Since acquiring the unit, I have had two firmware upgrades that have only enhanced the user experience. It is so far very stable with little to no connectivity issues. However, there is only one little minor quirk I have noticed; namely that it says my Wi-Fi strength is "Weak - Please keep it close to router". My router is probably 20 feet away and doesn't exhibit any connection issues with the WiiM, so I am not really all that concerned.

This is so much better than just using Bluetooth to listen to your streaming services. It is so easy to connect and the app works flawlessly. You can use the app to listen or, with Spotify or Tidal, you can use their Connect feature enabled on the Wiim to listen directly from the app on your phone or tablet, without even having to open up the Wiim app. The DAC sounds good, but if you have a better external DAC already, you can connect this device and use it as a streamer only to enjoy even better sound. I did that with my SMSL SU8 DAC and found that it did improve the sound. Not night and day, but there were improvements. I found I could also tweak the sound using the Sound Color feature on the SMSL DAC. Highly recommended for a first streamer, or even your only streamer.

After searching out all the streamers from the cheapest to some outright nuts priced this seemed to be the absolute best for the money and with a great app to use it. I have to agree, dang fine sounding, easy to use, great app, will be trying the Qoboz app next on an 8" Tab hardwired as I do not use WiFi, just ethernet and hard wired in our home but the WiFi does work great as I tested it. Most highly recommended and I am a many decades experienced lower budget high value nearly everything DIY audiophile.

Great, cheap and compact streaming device. Integrates easily into my Google Home app and can group with other speakers in that app (e.g., Nest audio devices). Having a tricky time getting it to respond to voice commands, but imagine that can be resolved with some troubleshooting. This is one of my very first hi-fi purchases, so I'm not the best to judge sound quality. That said, it sounds great with my Yamaha AS-501 integrated amplifier and Triangle Borea Br03 bookshelf speakers.

I have owned the WIIMPro Plus for a week now and I am quite smitten with this streamer. I have it connected to a vintage Kenwood KA 7150 and it sounds fantastic. I am connected via Bluetooth and just cannot wait to direct connect to a router. That will have to wait until figure out how to span the distance of 50+ feet without obvious cable salad. Money well spent. Good work and super chat support from Red!

The WiiM Pro Plus running Apple AirPlay sounds better than my current hard-wired iFi Zen DAC, which I totally did not expect - more open, transparent, and imaging is definitely better. Using Apple AirPlay to stream from Tidal and Roon via my MacBook Air, not only easy to use but sounds great. The WiiM Pro and Pro Plus have to be some of the best bargains in hifi right now!

For me, this was a great solution to streaming my Air Play 2 I Tunes playlists on my HP laptop located in an upstairs TV room to a non-Air Play 2 AVR that I listen to all the time that is located in my first-floor garage/workshop. Easy to install, good supportive App and a nice DAC and sound. No concerns.

Super easy to setup and connect using a variety of options: the WiiM app, the Squeezer app for streaming my LMS media server music collection, and many other ways to stream using my phone. It's simplified our stereo system and the music playing process for the rest of the family.

I\u2019m a Sonos refugee, and regret waiting so long to make the switch. Better sound, Way more flexible to use (User-selectable 10 band eq, software that works, Roon Ready, etc, etc. It\u2019s my third WiiM purchase. And Abt is just fantastic.

Real nice streaming device. It replaces my classic Logitech Squeezebox. Might be overkill to stream Pandora (subscribed) through a Rotel RA-1592 MK2 and B&W 602S2. Sound is very revealing as well as the sound stage.

I hooked this up to a vintage Marantz receiver and use it to stream from both my own DLNA source and Amazon high def music. It sounds wonderful, was easy to set up and it has some significant customization options.

Fantastic alternative to Sonos by using your own speaker equipment. The Pro Plus is a great way to hook up your existing sound system to streaming services. The WiiM Amp which I also have is a great way to connect passive speakers that don't already have an amp supplying them power. Multiple WiiM devices also allow for synchronized playback across multiple rooms like Sonos. Amazing bang for buck. The software is super useful and easy to use too. Way better than the Sonos app on its best days. Fantastic alternative to Sonos by using your own speaker equipment. The Wiim Pro Streamer is a great product and value, I use it with an external Ladder Schumen R2R DAC and in my stereo system it is on par with my Denon SACD/CD player (also connected to my external DAC) depending on the quality of the original recording. Not all recordings are equal regardless of playback format. Very respectable "bang for buck" audio upgrade. Adds numerous input/output options, upgrades your DAC, offers decent EQ stage and "room correction". Regarding the latter, I expect that adding the mic to your purchase would be required for useful results. In my case using the phone mic option reduced my system's SQ. YMMV. Product is a bit lacking in on-box display indications. For example, no detail at all about what PCM or DSD data rates are being streamed. The Wiim App has most of this information and is quite useful and well designed. The streamer works well, the built-in DAC is a bit weak compared to a Blusound Node or iFi Neo Stream. This streamer is about 90% as good as the Bluesound Node 2i that I last had for 1/4 the price. With that savings you can buy a decent DAC like a Topping E50 or a Geshelli Labs and be as good or better on sound. What is it missing? No HDMI port, no native Radio Paradise (through TuneIn Radio does not count), no native Neil young Archives. If you have an Android phone you can use the Chromecast to overcome that albeit without gapless audio. It’s a quality piece of kit.

I never issue reviews but wanted to share my findings on the wiim pro. Fantastic sound, easy to set up and allows me to access Spotify and online radio stations via my home WiFi and then play them through my "old" AV amp. Sound quality is awesome - the Wiim application (free on play store) has it's own built in eq so you can adjust sound to your own preference. Included toshlink and RCA leads to link in cd player and phono as well.Love it and would highly recommend.

Great listening experience with the Wiim Pro…I was using my laptop to send Apple Music via bluetooth to my stereo receiver and speakers, replaced all of that w/a pair of powered speakers & the Wiim Pro! Although I've only had the Wiim Pro for less than a week, I'm very impressed with th sound produced from this streamer. I have it connected to a pair of Klipsch The Fives in our dining area of the kitchen. The Wiim Home App is pretty straightforward until you try playing some internet radio stations. otherwise, I listen to apple Music and Tidal.

Didn't like the app, was slow with my iPhone, bass is boomy and treble is boosted, mids and vocals sound hollow, can't recommend. Musical Fidelity V Dac II has worse s/n ratio but far more balanced and much greater fidelity. Didn't bother with EQ since the app was far too slow and even non-responsive not registering taps frequently in Spotify.

It came and “out of the box” it was running! Was so impressed, I got another one! I downloaded Google Cast and it found them with no problem. I put them in a group, and went to my software ad selected the group, and I have multi-room audio playback! A really good deal - next best device I know of for this costs $350!

The Wiim Pro Plus is the best of all the Wiim streaming devices. The HI-FI dac chip used in the Plus really is a nicer dac ship and almost removes the necessity if a standalone DAC. I Have several Wiim devices that I used with external dacs, but the it's no longer a requirement for good sound. Excellent product
