It's a budget gaming laptop, you should not set your expectatoons too high for this price range. It is meant to get you in the door with some of the best and latest AAA game titles, altough it may not play them at the highest settimgs or fastest framerates; it will play them. This laptop I believe can play 100% of the games on the market today making it extremely relevant. I am leaving this review because I purchased one brand new the other week, although I returned due to a bezel / trim piece that wouldn't stay in place / kept popping out; I will be looking for another of this same exact model. It is very lightwright and portable, super sleek and very well designed although poorly built quality. Can't knock it too hard since I know how good this laptop is for it's value! I have had my MSI GF63 Thin 9SCSR since 2020 and it still works great, this new MSI Thin 15 is exactly the same thing only newer... Going based off my experience with my GF63 Thin, if you take care of this laptop; it will last! It's not the best but it sure does pack a hefty punch for what little you will pay! I would recommend this laptop for anyone who is on a tight budget and wants to get a decent laptop to game on. I would not recommend this for anyone who is overly picky or who is super demanding about wanting to play at max settings with framerates your human eye will never see.

Tidy little laptop. Neither too bulky nor too heavy. Even the power brick is a reasonable size for a gaming laptop. This is a big reason for buying this.\n\nBenchmark performance is really excellent for the Nvidia GPU at this price point. This is another major reason for buying this.\n\nPresentation wise, it looks okay, but not impressive. The quality of the plastics is not always great. Trackpad is tacky and unresponsive, so is the power button (which has no fingerprint reader). The screen bezels are quite thick.\n\nFortunately, the actual keyboard seems fine. The backlit keys don't feel tacky and operate well.\n\nFans do get noisy under load. Grippy rubberized feet keep the laptop off flat surfaces to improve circulation.\n\nOne USB-C port that will NOT deliver power to the laptop. No SD Card slot. Wired ethernet port is present.\n\nOverall this is unbeatable value for the performance.

It's been about 2 months since I received this product and I got to say I am very impressed, it does exactly what I need to and more. The battery life isn't great but that's to be expected with a laptop like this that's more geared towards performance, so just make sure to carry an extra charger if you plan on travelling with this thing. It had to run through a bunch of updates but after those were done it ran as expected. I bought this laptop to help me with school and because I was interested in getting into pc gaming. The reason I needed it for school was because I a STEM field so we learn how to use different programs like Autocad and Revit. On top of that it runs a lot the games I threw at it at medium settings. One thing I would suggest is if you get this thing for gaming and you have lots of games you want to get to upgrade the storage. Overall, I'd say this thing is worth it in almost every regard and is a very solid pick if you want a budget gaming laptop to start pc gaming. Although I will advise waiting for it to go on sale first.

Love the Laptop and is great for gaming and running editing and animation software. I'm a student who needed a powerful enough device to run programs like photoshop suite and adobe apps. I also like gaming so was looking for something that could do both. An example of a game that ran perfectly on medium to high visual settings was Marvel Rivals. I've had it for a couple of days now and it's running everything great with absolutely no lag, delay or crashing. The only downside is that the battery life is very sort. If I'm playing video games I have to keep it plugged in at all times or it will die in less than an hour. It also gets VERY hot. I personally don't mind how hot it gets or the battery life because I can just keep it plugged in and have a lap desk under it. For the price, it's an incredible laptop and if you don't mind the heat or battery life I highly recommend this product for people on a tighter budget that need a powerful pc.

I literally only got this to play the sims and it runs perfectly. Unfortunately it will not run Inzoi so it only gets 4 stars. It ran it for a few days and then it just never did again and I'm still not sure why. But it's ok because the sims was why I got it and it runs perfectly and I have every expansion, kit, etc and piece of cc and mod that I can think of. Still runs smoothly. No lag or anything. It does run hot but I have a cooling pad, even a fan blowing on the back works just as well to keep it cool.

so when running even a mildly intensive game, the fan runs very loud. it tends to heat up quickly, so i would advise getting a cooling pad or something similar. other than that, all-around solid mid-high tier gaming laptop. can run pretty much any modern AAA game on at least medium settings, and even then, it could be run higher. the battery life is abysmal, though, as with almost every gaming laptop. all things considered, it is a solid laptop. not top of the line, but not a bad choice either

Ok soooo this is a great gaming laptop - once you get everything squared away. The two cumulative windows 11 updates didn't go through right away but that was fine, they did eventually. The main thing was - none of my games would launch. I tried every fix I could find online. Force the use of dedicated graphics driver from nvidia control panel, windows control panel, launch options. Verify integrity of files. Disable integrated graphics. I spent 24 hours trying fix after fix - it was a nightmare!!! Finally I downloaded directx and that fixed the issue - all of my games launch and run. I'm not sure why it wasn't already on a laptop that is specifically built for gaming. Never thought to purchase MSI brand before. I didn't want something so bloated that the speed would be limited compared to HP and other's products. This laptop does have bloat ware marketed as 'ai.' I would not have purchased this if this was marketed up front. It claims to interfere with battery performance and what not but why?! It's finishes don't reflect the price I paid. Not worth it.

It a good laptop for someone who just wants to game with minimal fiddling around with settings. It runs every game I want to play without issue, but I suspect I'd be slightly disappointed if I wanted to play current AAA titles.\n\nThe only complaint I have is the 512gb ssd.It fills up quickly and I recommend an external drive for game storage.

I love it so far as a backup pc since my desktop is having a problem right now as of writing this review but 1tb ssd should be the new standard in terms of space as after installing 4 games I only have 50gb left free on the drive. If you don't like S Mode you'll be happy to learn this laptop doesn't come with it enabled. Also, if you're wanting to experiment with running a lightweight AI model, this is a good computer for it. That's why I purchased it. I needed more processing power to run a model and didn't want to dump over a thousand dollars on a computer to do it. Overall, I'm impressed with the computers performance. Keep in mind all I plan to do is run an AI model. I have no idea how well it works with games, but hey, like I said, the price is right if you want to experiment. \n\nAlso, it comes with a headphone-out jack and one dedicated mic-in jack.

This is a heck of a value for $550, and I don't need anything more. \n\nThe screen is brighter than it should be, it's 144hz, and generally pretty decent quality. No dead pixels\n\nThe chassis/body of the laptop is an obvious cheap point. It's very, very cheap plastic. However, again, given the price, it is fine. Might've gone up, but when I bought it, price was only $499 tax. Can't get any better than that! You're able to add more ram and extra hard drive for storage. Upgraded to 24GB ram and added a 2.5" 500gb SSHD Hybrid drive. Doesn't weigh too heavy and is good for when I want to take a break from assignments and play some games at school when I'm not near my gaming pc at home. Battery life is 2-3 and half hours when I set it to max battery in the MSI control center. Not long, but I'll always be near an outlet even in class.

My wife and I purchased this laptop for our son, attending first year of college. He loves it! Setup was a breeze except there was a slight hiccup. The setup progress bar went to about 25% then dropped to 0%. This is okay, it's still updating and setting up in the background. Entire setup took about 25-30 mins. Other than that, it's a great purchase. He's a computer student and hasn't complained about the performance. Games look clear and fast frames per second. Highly recommended.

A great laptop for you or your children if they are looking for high graphics and performance in games like Roblox, Minecraft, and Fortnite. Runs with a satisfyingly smooth framrate and can handle some more intense games at framerates of 50-70fps; not bad for a $500 dollar gaming laptop. I've been looking for a new pc for a min. But a decent pc with a 3050 was going to run $600 now I have a laptop that has equal ram and runs 20-40% faster than a 3050. So far no hiccups. I've been playing some mmos, haven't tried any modern games really yet. Used it to remote play my Xbox also, ran wayyy cleaner than my phone or tablets. \n\nOverall I think this was a solid deal. Battery life is not the greatest but I think that might be the games that I play on it. I play Repo a lot on it and the computer with the screen brightness turned all the way and the sound on all the way and it dies after an hour or two of playing. But otherwise really good computer. As someone who doesn't really like overhead light the glowing keyboard is definitely a bonus to me and it is really easy to use, buttons aren't hard to press. Highly recommend honestly.

Very impressive laptop you can play all AAA games on this laptop over 100fps or more I got almost 300fps in fortnite preformance mode and 250-144 in other settings which if you didn't know is a high demanding game. The 16gb ram to start off is just amazing cause that gets you straight into having a great experience. Though I do wish it was 1tb ssd though I do tend to run out of storage so I'll personally need to get that upgraded. But overall amazing laptop.

This is a awesome laptop, get this with a sata solid state drive 2 tb and then upgrade the ram to 32gb. Oh let me tell you. This thing becomes a beast. I just finished outer world 2 on very high graphics and I was getting 100 fps, when it had 16gb I was at 60-100fps. World of Warcraft I'm getting 60-150fps. I have 2 monitors hooked up also.
