Although the inkjet style printer has served me well in the past, after my experience with the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301 Printer, I'll never go back. These are the things that impressed me most about this printer:\n\nSetup/Connectivity - The setup for this printer couldn't have been easier. I think it took me longer to get the printer out of the box than it did to set it up. I was able to connect and print test pages within minutes. Downloading the HP app prior to setup certainly helped make installation go even quicker. Even without the app, connecting to other devices was a snap.\n\nPrint Speed - This is where the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301 printer truly shines. The print speed is much more comparable to a high end office copier than a home printer. Although print speed isn't typically an issue when printing at home, it has come up from time to time. There have been several occasions when I've needed to print some important pages just minutes before leaving the house for a meeting, and this printer has delivered every time.\n\nPrint Quality - In comparing the LaserJet Pro MFP 3301 to my old inkjet style printer, there is no real comparison. My previous inkjet style printer is no match for the LaserJet Pro MFP 3301 in terms of image quality. The images are crisp, colors are vibrant, blacks are dark, there are no lines or streaking, and the contrast/sharpness is amazing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using HP printers for a quarter century now and have been using their Laserjet printers for around 20 years of that time and I have come to trust the performance, ease of use, and print quality of HP's printer line, and I am highly impressed with the Laserjet Pro 3301fdw! This printer is the quietest I have ever used while maintaining time to print and print speed. Print quality is top notch with Matt, Gloss, and cardstock!\n\nSetup and install was easy and quick with no issues, and the printer comes with the base toner cartridges, all 218a series. In my case I use my printers for my home network so that all of my devices have access. Once out of the box, with shipping tape removed, I plugged in the unit and went through the touch screen setup. Simply entering my wifi credentials connected the printer, and it showed on the network immediately without issue. I first installed the printer on my android phone using the HP Smart app. Install was almost immediate and I was quickly able to test print. I next installed the printer on a Windows 11 desktop, two Windows 11 laptops, and a Windows 10 laptop, all installs were fast and easy using the HP Smart app on each. All that was needed was to install the app on the Windows devices, in my case the app was already installed, and hit "add new printer". The app found the printer within a few seconds, choose the printer and the installation completes. Once I verified the install on our devices I then accessed the printer setup and went about securing the printer and setting up the individual settings. You can skip this process but I highly suggest securing it and setting up scan to email and fax. The easiest way to update settings is to open a browser and type in the IP address of the printer to access the printers web server. From there the additional setup is a breeze.\n\nAfter the final setup I tested scan both flatbed and duplex. Scan was super quick as the 3301fdw will scan both sides of each page, should you choose, when scanning in batch mode and order the pages properly. All scans were crystal clear. Scan to email was quick and easy as was fax. \n\nFinal word from me is that the Laserjet Pro 3301fdw is the epitome of what I have come to expect from HP printers and it's printer like the 3301fdw which will keep me coming back to HP for decades to come!

The printer has worked beautifully with the exception that there was only enough toner for about 120-140 pages of printing/copying before the printer wouldn't work and the warning said printer toner "below very low". All 3 colors were "very low" so all the starter packs are truely very limited. I didn't think they would be that limited. I would recommend that HP make it clear in their boxed information with the printer to immediately get extra toner. I happened to get an extra black toner and that worked fine to get the printer up and running again so we have some chance to get all three of the color toners. We paid more for the color toners than the printer. (black Friday sale). So far it IS a great printer printing-wise so I still rank it a 4 even despite this inconvenience and unhelpful introduction.

This was an update purchase to an older model. So we expected that getting it set up would not be difficult. However, after days of trying myself, I had to call an IT expert to our home who also spent an hour and a half trying to get our machine set up. We read every troubleshoot notation online. Downloaded every software suggestion. The scan function was the most difficult to figure out. Also the device itself continuously times out making the process even more frustrating. In the end, we are finally up and running but I think the windows 11 may have caused the issues we dealt with, so those still need to be ironed out to make the set up less complicated. It appears to be otherwise a great machine.

Shame you don't get full access to light and darkness and quality etc through 'Settings' on the actual printer as you do with the App. If printing too dark are too much colour, sometimes one likes to have access for adjustment direct on 'Setting' on the printer itself. There is no 'Settings' icon to go to. The ink cartridges x4 & x5 pack are more expensive than the printer itself. Infact, it works out cheaper to buy a new printer than keep buying more cartridges ongoing. Overall it is a good printer with automatic double-sided sided printing.

I use the printer for a home office. The printer was easy to setup and has many great features. My only complaint is that it is a little louder than I would have expected. The prints come out fast and print quality is great. I did try using some photo paper I had to print pictures but it did not seem to work out that well as the ink ran on the paper. Not the end of the world as I didn't buy the printer specifically for photos.

The quality of the printing is great, no complaints there at all, but it's loud. I bought it hoping it'd be quieter and faster than the old inkjet we had, but it's not. It also randomly 'calibrates' and makes noise when my husband is on meeting calls - I had to run in and unplug it yesterday.\n\nI haven't been able to figure out how to print remotely on it, which has also been very frustrating.

So far so good. Iāve only had the printer scanner for about a month. It was easy to install all the programs worked with. It is Wi-Fi enabled, and all the hardware inside my house that can print works on it. Itās a sturdy piece of gear. The packaging kept the printer safe.

This is my first LaserJet printer for home use and it is indeed a huge improvement compared to our old inkjet printers. It is much faster and quieter and the print quality is outstanding. Importantly, I am no longer replacing ink cartridges that dry out over periods of non-use, which was frustrating and a waste of money. The form factor of the 3301fdw is excellent, it looks professional and takes up roughly the same āreal estateā on a desk as our prior HP inkjet printer. Setup was relatively straightforward, and I was printing and making copies within minutes of unpacking the unit from the box. The one significant glitch so far is scanning directly to an email address. Having tried unsuccessfully for a couple of hours, I have resorted to scanning into the App and uploading and emailing from there. That works, but it requires extra steps. I am sure I will eventually be able to figure out direct scanning to an email, but it will take some more time no doubt. Overall, this is a great multi-function color printer for home or small business use and I would recommend it highly.
