The Surface Laptop is a terrific all-around high-end machine, with outstanding screen resolution (2496 pixels across in an area where most competitors are 1920). In addition, it's not loaded down with bloatware, all those annoying apps and popups that most PC computer manufacturers preinstall to up their profits a bit. In addition, Walmart's return and warranty options are very good.

First it has a backlight keyboard with 3 settings which is beautiful. The screen is super bright and just needed it set to 50 percent even when outside. It has a microsd slot near the proprietary charging port. It has two usb c charging ports and I was able to charge and work with just that and never dipped below 90%. I was able to fully charge the laptop from 30% to 100% in under an hour using just the usb c port. Has full size usb port. Battery life without any charging, I obtained while having meetings, games, some lite graphics, web surfacing, watching web videos, and playing music in background…at about 15 -16 hours was down to 18%. Also some of my apps/programs like Norton 360 had difficulty installing and had to call the manufacturer to finish install. I believe because the processor is very new that some hiccups are to be expected. I love opening up device manager and seeing NEURAL PROCESSOR…feel like Star Trek Data is in the laptop. I mention all this because the sd slot nor backlight not mentioned in the included literature. The processor is lightning fast, the always on capability is great without sacrificing battery life. Boot up from a full power down is under 35 seconds. The weight/balance ratio makes it easy to carry and handle. The aluminum metal construction gives it a great tactile feel and surety of grip. Speakers are really beautiful sounding and fairly loud and discernible even at 100% volume. My only wish was for the screen to be detachable or it be foldable but otherwise fantastic. I was most interested in this because of the new SnapDragon Elite which is supposed to be as powerful as Apple Silicon while providing the same excellent battery life. This particular product also seemed to hit all my other checkboxes as well, which include a good keyboard, screen, touchpad, speakers, and build quality while being lightweight and thin. But does it live up to it? The answer is yes. Yes, it does. KEYBOARD: I have mixed feelings about the keyboard. As they were so close to nailing it. As the way the buttons feels is excellent. Good amount of actuation force, without being too much nor too little, with very strong bounce back, with solid click feel, and not very loud. It is also just the right amount of travel and does sound good. However, it appears they took the same size keyboard on their 13” and put it into the 15” instead of using the extra real-estate to give more full size keys. As the keys themselves are very small making it so you have to be ultra precise while still having the spacing between them to allow for bigger keys. Many of the keys are miniaturized. Like Up, Down, Ctrl, FN. I still type about 128 wpm so it isn’t bad. But it could have been great. Instead it’s just solid. TRACKPAD: I think this is my favorite windows trackpad ever. They are using something that most other Windows laptops don’t use but Apple has been for some time now with it being haptic. My only complaint is that I wish it was the same size as the MacBook Air 15 inch M3’s. As to me that is ideal for a machine of this size. This one just seems a bit small for the chassis. Which isn’t to say it is a small touchpad. Just that I would have liked it to be a bit bigger. BATTERY LIFE: I didn’t have a lot of time to test this out. But with hard usage I was able to get 8 hours before I hit 20%, which would have given me another 1 – 2 hours at least if not closer to 3 – 4. Currently with me doing a word document, some tabs open, along with one or two programs it is saying 12 – 15 hours left. I’ve used about 7% in an hour and 15-ish minutes. If we math that out it would equal 17.5 hours if I did my calculation correctly. It quotes up to 22 hours of battery life. Regardless, battery life is excellent as to me if I can get 8 – 10 hours doing essentially whatever I want anything more than that is just bonus. As that means I can leave my house without a charger and not worry about running out of juice. Finally, Windows has made it. You can charge via USB-C or the 65 watt magnetic charger that is included. It falls out easily, so I wish the magnet was stronger, and that the LED would change instead of being just an extremely bright white (which is very noticeable at night when trying to sleep. Apple does this portion better. But I’m glad to see it here as it opens up my ports. PERFORMANCE: I’ll keep this short and sweet. It is probably the best you can get in a Windows machine currently. To go a bit more in-depth. High Performance is going to be the setting you want to compete with Apples M3 and other premium laptop processors. It is equal, if not beating the majority of those in multi-core scores. Single Core is very good again other Windows laptops, but doesn’t beat Apple’s M3. A lot of what you daily is Single Core. The performance on/off battery is very similar which is a good thing. As the difference between other Windows machines is it is giving you the same power but with drastically better battery life. Compared to Apple’s silicone it is trading blows. It comes stock with 16 GB which is a good choice for the majority of users. SSD is replaceable. But I thought I read that voids a warranty? Will have to check that out further as that seem silly to me. The SSD speeds are good. Right smack dab in the middle of the performance. NPU I don’t have enough experience to give an opinion on at this time. It never got loud on my during normal operation. Most of the time I didn’t even hear fans. GPU was alright. Quite behind Apple M3. Wireless card was awesome. Best scores I’ve gotten on my network on a portable device. SPEAKERS: I was pleasantly surprised. They aren’t going to blow your socks off. But they are excellent FOR A LAPTOP. I could easily watch all my videos at 2x speed and still hear everything without problem. Got plenty loud. It does look to be firing out towards the screen and then back at you (very Apple like). More on the treble side, without a lot of bass, but voices still sound natural. Again, this isn’t like OMG amazing. But I have zero complaints. As they do their job well where I am not needing or wanting to reach for headphones. But if I was wanting to really get into something or listen to music I’d use headphones. As that would just provide a better experience. But for daily tasks and listening no issues. SCREEN: It’s excellent. I really enjoy 15” screens as they allow me to see a lot more and with bezels becoming smaller don’t take that much more room. The 16:10 ratio helps fit more stuff

I have spent the last week setting up and evaluating this very interesting and unique machine, the ARM based Microsoft Surface CoPilot+. Combining a week’s intensive use with watching many YouTube videos and numerous podcasts and reviews, I can say that this machine seems to boil down to two main considerations. First, it's a new type of Windows machine that runs on an ARM processor, which is a departure from the usual Intel or AMD machines. Second, it has a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) chip for AI tasks. Let me address the AI aspect first. Short version: This AI stuff is pretty cool and having a CoPilot+ laptop with the built-in AI chip will let you do AI things that other computers cannot do. Long version: You can experience AI and play around with creative applications without this specific computer. Before getting this AI laptop, I got a subscription to Microsoft CoPilot PRO, which integrates well with my Office programs, and I've had a lot of fun using Microsoft 'Designer' to create cool graphics for social media and emails and using AI to look at spreadsheets and whip up PowerPoints. What’s new for AI here is this machine is the first to have a built-in Neural Processing Unit (NPU) chip, which is designed to take the load off the main processor when the laptop is running AI processes. At the moment, some of the graphic functions like Designer for graphics and the language translation use the NPU chip to boost processing speed, and there are some video conferencing filters that have been around a while - but more significant is the tremendous potential for apps and ‘small models’ that will use this onboard neural chip to great advantage. Having an on-board Neural Processing Unit (NPU) chip is a new thing and developers are cranking out AI apps and AI program updates on a daily basis. I am looking forward to more and more of these program updates and apps to become available to really help the AI functions of the CoPilot+ show its capabilities. This is about as “future proof” as you can get for the surge in AI capabilities at the moment. Having the built-in Neural Processing Unit (NPU) will help speed up some of the AI process, allow use of AI applications and plug-ins, and provide many AI functions even when the machine is offline. Now, to put the AI aside and evaluate the Surface CoPilot+ as a laptop – Microsoft Surface machines have a reputation for being well engineered and this machine looks good and feels very sturdy in the hand. The edges are nicely chamfered and easy on the hands. This machine is well-built, with a backlit keyboard, solid hinge, and a very nice 120MHz screen. The haptic touchpad is wonderful. My first haptic touchpad, and this is a whole new experience as I really never liked touchpads until this one... very smooth, responsive, adjustable, and clicks anywhere! I can also use an inexpensive capacitive stylus for basic drawing on the screen when using OneNote or playing with the AI graphics. This 15” machine has a micro-SD slot and first thing i did was pop in a 512GB card for game files, software repository, and cloud storage. Long battery life is one of the main benefits of the ARM-based machine—it lasts much longer than my other laptop. My experience is easily 2x to 3x the battery life of my i5 laptop (which just got a brand-new battery). Another very nice feature of this ARM based machine is 'instant on' when you open the lid to resume work – the laptop instantly jumps back to life every time and doesn't drain the battery when asleep. The more I use this laptop the more I appreciate how nice it is to not worry about shutting the lid when I step away for a moment or pack up to go to the next location and know that I can pop the lid and go right back to work without having to wait for the computer to wake up. With the facial recognition enabled (and it works very well) you don’t have to put in a PIN code or password – the laptop recognizes you and is instantly ready to pick up where you left off. Really nice! As for gaming, it has been well established that this isn't a hardcore gaming machine, but don’t sell the ARM laptop short - it can handle many fun and modern games. It runs all the normal programs for office work, school, photo and light video editing without any issues. It's fast, lasts an incredibly long time on battery, and doesn't keep me waiting. In conclusion, if you want a well-built, long-lasting laptop that's quiet, cool in your lap, and on the cutting edge of AI, the Surface CoPilot+ is a great choice. So this Microsoft surface “copilot+” laptop with snapdragon x Plus has been my dedicated work / travel companion for the past week and I have to admit that I am quite impressed with this machine. It is super thin, and lightweight while having a rigid and premium machined aluminum build. The screen is beautiful, doesn’t have the best contrast ratio on the market but colors are punchy and the screen gets quite bright. It has the usual washed out blacks of an IPS screen. Most people won’t mind , but just a heads up. It’s not terrible, my unit doesn’t seem to suffer from any backlight bleeding which is great. The screen is also touch capable, and I believe it will support the Microsoft surface pen, (I’ve yet to buy one) I have to confirm it’s compatibility but I’m pretty certain you can buy one for it. The speakers are quite loud, but they lack bass. At higher volumes they don’t sound very pleasing to my ears, so I leave them below 50% volume, but even at 20% it is loud enough for me. I’m actually impressed with how loud they are. The keyboard has a very nice tactile feel and are backlit. The keys almost have a soft touch type of feel, reminds me of a silicone phone case. Not sure what material they are coated with but they feel very nice to type with and it’s kind of become one of my favorite keyboards to type on. The trackpad is smooth and accurate. As far as connectivity, you’ll get 2 USB C ports which also support video output and will charge the laptop. A full size USB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a proprietary charging port for the cable that it comes with. Speaking of.. that is probably my only complaint about this laptop. I don’t understand why it has that when you can charge it via usb c. I suppose it frees up the 2 usb c ports but it is a proprietary cable that works with nothing else. I feel like they could have used the space to include an SD card slot. As a photographer , I always appreciate being able to connect my sd card straight into the computer I am using. I’m tired of the dongle life. One other thing I have noticed about this laptop is that when I use it in a dimly lit room, the screen seems to flicker. Not sure if it’s a hardware or software issue. I turned off the auto brightness setting to mitigate the issue for now. Performance: this is where I’ve been most impressed. I didn’t run any benchmark tests but I did put the machine through my usual paces and it handled everything nicely. I was able to edit and upload the photos I took with my mirrorless camera. I was able to do some light gaming. I was able to run rocket league and lineage 2. Older games, but they ran quite good considering. I wouldn’t use this as a dedicated gaming laptop, but it’s nice to be able to play a game on here also, even if at low / medium settings and around 60fps. I love gaming so it’s nice to have the ability to do some light gaming with it. I made it a point to use “copilot” to assist me in my daily tasks. I tried to use it to help me edit photos, create some templates and book a trip online. I’m going to say that for now, it seems kind of trivial and gimmicky. I feel like it has a long way to go before anyone can fully rely on it to be a reliable assistant. When asking for information, it seems like it just gathers information for you from the web, which you can already do on your own. Asking it to create a photo or painting is the coolest thing about it but I could see it losing its fun after a while. I totally think copilot has potential though and I am excited to see how it evolves over time. For now, it kind of feels like a glorified search engine when trying to ask it to help you do things. You can tweak the settings for the way it responds and interacts with you. Battery life. Excellent! I have not been able to get the 20 hours of use it claims, but this is definitely the best battery life I’ve ever experienced from a windows laptop. I run it at “recommended” power settings and I would say I’m averaging about 10 hours of use before needing to plug in. Fantastic! This is a sleek and premium feeling laptop with a great screen (especially because it isn’t an OLED display). The trackpad feels amazing! The color feels refreshing when looking at all of the other black and silver laptops available. The speakers are probably the weakest point of this laptop, but they are still perfectly fine and won’t be an issue for the vast majority of users. I appreciate being able to replace the SSD dowwn the road since it it replaceable if you have some technical experience and are comfortable “operating” on your laptop. The processor is snappy and I have found that most major applications work fine on it. Google drive is one exception, but the web version works just fine. This is NOT a gaming laptop by any means, but it can play some games decently well. Don’t expect to be playing Ray Traced Cyberpunk at max settings, but playing at 1080p low-medium settings on moderately intensive games is just fine. I have been able to play Civ VI, Crusader Kings 3, and Sims 4 with some playing around in the settings to get a smooth 60+fps. Not every game will work and those that do might not hit max graphics without being unplayable or without it being an old game. The battery life is great and I find myself not needing to charge during the day unless I am playing an intensive game on it. I would easily recommend this to anyone except people looking for a desktop replacement or someone looking for a heavy gaming computer. This laptop is exactly what you would want from one. Snappy performance plus an all-day battery. The haptic trackpad gives it a very high-end feel, and this thing is so lightweight you'll forget you have it if you're carrying it in a bag. The charger is also magnetic, and for anyone who has broken a charger port before from it either falling or forgetting it's in when you pick it up, no more, this thing will disconnect in either situation without damage (accidently already tested). I know lots of people talk about compatability issues with ARM processors as they are just becoming widely used, but so far for work and school, I haven't encountered any. Just don't buy this expecting a gaming laptop, as that's not what it is. Before buying, I suggest talking to the geek squad to make sure you're getting what you need. They have been extremely helpful to me anytime I've had questions. In my opinion, this laptop is a 10/10. I would strongly suggest getting Geek Squad Protection, too, saved me in the past and is currently saving me right now by fixing a 6 month old dropped laptop. You never know if you'll need it, but trust me, it's a lifesaver when you do.

This is my third Surface device and this continues to live up to the quality of the brand. This is an excellent laptop that will handle your everyday tasks with ease. The ARM processor is really quite capable and gives the computer incredible battery life. The only thing I'd caution is that you are certain you know what you are getting. This is NOT an X86 based device so if you rely on software that requires X86 architecture you may want to verify that it will run adequately under emulation. The ARM architecture in this computer has proven really great at running Windows. The benchmarks on the Snapdragon X Elite are impressive, and the chips attributes shine on this device. If you want a capable, fast computer that will handle your everyday tasks with ease this should be on your list. The build quality is fantastic, too. Solid aluminum body, great screen with 120HZ refresh rate, and a responsive trackpad and keyboard make this a real joy to use.

I daily drive an Acer 516 GE (Chromebook Plus) and a MacBook Pro M3 Pro; as a result, I became very accustomed to stellar battery life and standby time. I can't say the same for any of my WIndows laptops, until now. Knowing that it'll be ready to go without worrying about whether or not I remembered to charge it yesterday alone is worth it. Beyond that, I love this device's screen, keyboard, haptic touchpad, and color. The webcam is 1080p, a nice upgrade from my outgoing Surface Laptop 3's 720p. The Snapdragon CPU hasn't presented any meaningful barriers to installing or running my productivity or web development apps. The only real disappointment is the Xbox app not allowing me to install any games. As a Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, I can still stream games. Which is fine, I guess. I like everything about Surface 7th edition, battery life, screen size, 1 TB storage size, speed, sound, facial recognition, processor, etc. \n\nBut there are many other challenges too. Because this laptop has the latest Qualcomm snapdragon and ARM processor, it doesn't have many useful apps that I used to have with my Surface 3. \n\nI can't install the Adobe Master app package, citing an incompatible issue. I doubt I can install other virtual windows like Linux or iOS. It doesn't support the Pali Keyboard or Chakma Keyboard I used to have on my previous Surface laptop.\n\nI still like this laptop but I would've tried the AMD Ryzen AI 9 processor instead of Snapdragon, which will be more compatible with Windows software and applications. Adobe still doesn't have a compatible version, prompting me to think about whether to keep this laptop or wait for a new ARM compatible version of windows applications.

super pleased so far, convection fan is a little noisy. Heats up fast, though I have not tested the accuacy of the temperture vs what I set it too. However, I am not a baker and do not need super precise temperature settings. If I were I would be hesitant to trust this oven. I have cooked bacon, baked caseroles and so far seems to cook everything well and even. I love that it can fit standard sized cookie sheets. \n\nI have it set up on my kitchen countertop now until we remodel and I can make a special place for it under the counter. It does take up a bit of room, but for it's function to completely replace the traditional oven I am very satisfied.

I really like this laptop! This is my 3rd surface that I've had. I got the largest ram possible in this model because I do alot of photo editing and Lightroom runs very smooth on it. I will say when I first got it the mouse track pad had issues and I almost returned it but then I procrastinated and magically it started working properly. An associate at Best buy said this is a common issue with all surface pads that I probably just got lucky that it didn't happen to the others. I also really like the sleek matte black look its very minimalist while having the macbook air look. I also really like the copilot feature.

The hands-on experience is what sealed the deal for me to make this long-term investment on a new mobile workstation. The X Elite upgrade from the base model is what allows this quiet beast to stay ferocious while being sleek and handsome - I multi-task throughout the day with projects alongside YouTube Music or with 4K Movies from the Microsoft Store (No stutters, buttery smooth frame rates, and surprisingly great battery for one sitting as in I was actually comfortable and not pondering about when I need to charge after about 3 1/2 hours for my day's use of the laptop).

I absolutely love my Microsoft Surface Laptop—so much so that I bought a second one after accidentally dropping and totaling my first. Despite the mishap, my experience with the Surface has been overwhelmingly positive. The first one I owned had a minor glitch where the screen would occasionally flicker, but it only happened once every couple of months. For me, it wasn’t a big enough issue to justify the hassle of driving somewhere to get it fixed and waiting for it to return. Honestly, it didn’t disrupt my day-to-day use enough to care.\nIf I had to offer one critique, it’d be that the glass on the display is way too reflective. It can be tough to see the screen clearly in certain lighting, which is a bit of a annoyance at times. Beyond that, though, I’ve got nothing but praise. The size is perfect—super portable without feeling cramped—and it’s fast enough to handle some light gaming, which I didn’t expect to care about but ended up enjoying. It even came with a month of Xbox Live, and though I’m not a big gamer, I found myself using it every single day during that month. Overall, it’s a fantastic laptop, and I’m thrilled with my second one. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sleek, reliable machine!

I purchased and tried several latest laptop models, including the MacBook Pro M4 Pro, Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro, and Dell XPS 9440, but none provided the same experience when using Microsoft apps in Office 360. I don't edit videos or pictures; I mostly stream videos. This laptop is perfect for me. High Quality and looks beautiful. If you're looking for a laptop for office work, this one is ideal. It's great for streaming videos too, with excellent battery life, screen quality, performance, sound, touchpad and keyboard. No issues with apps compatibility.

I have had my new Surface Pro for several weeks and found it to be an excellent performer. The OLED display is sharp, and the Snapdragon processor is very fast especially compared to my previous Surface Pro. My only disappointment is that I have several apps that won't install because of compatibility issues with the Snapdragon ARM processor. I have contacted a couple of the companies in that regard, and they informed me they are working with Microsoft to hopefully address these issues but no timeframe as of yet.

Well built, fast, very impressive battery life, gorgeous display, responsive joyful trackpad, decent keyboard and nice webcam. Do your research around which apps you regularly use have an are ARM native version and you won’t be disappointed. This feels premium in hand with the performance to match. Used this laptop for the past 2 months and I'm quite impressed. It runs quite well and has great processing power. I have noticed one thing though, whenever watching a show or movie for example through Netflix, the laptop suddenly freezes and then abruptly restarts during the movie which I find odd and not sure how to fix or prevent that. This is a really nice laptop. Not what I expected from a Microsoft Surface, which used to be basically an over-sized tablet. This is a full-on laptop. The keyboard is bigger than most of the other laptops I looked at, which is really nice. The screen is huge compared to my last laptop. Edge-to-edge screen! It has the AI (Copilot) feature which I haven't used much yet, but I think will be really cool once I really start to use it.
