One of the downsides of owning an ‘’i’’ device is the dongle nightmare, there should be more options in term of dongle choices, like a VGA plus HDMI dongle, because both of them are separated and in my country (Mexico), both standards are very common in educational settings. I bought an adapter from china and I must say I know why this cost so much, the video output is almost free of lag, the Chinese one stutters with animations and stuff. Overall very good, just very expensive and prone to aesthetic damage.

It's great for streaming your movies and shows on non-smart TVs and older devices older, flat screen, TVs and out of date laptops not the best for gaming, your mobile games, quicker responses, and better image than casting, but still a slight delay when trying to play a shooter or a basketball game. I've found that the Apple Lightning to Digital AV Adapter is the most reliable compared to off-brand Digital AV Adapters. With daily usage, the adapter does wear out after two years. The price on this item has gone up since 2022, when it was $36. I paid $42.41 for this after a $10.99 discount in 2024.

Is good for mirroring Hulu, Prime, Disney YouTube won't play certain TV shows. Picture could come through a little clearer, but I don't think it's meant for that anyway. This is my first day using it. I will let you know if it stop's working early or anything.

It does what it's supposed to do. It can be connected to power if necessary to keep your iOS device charged. The one drawback is it's based on Lightning connector which are obsolete. The next iPad or iPhone you buy new will have USB-C connectors.

This adapter is absolute garbage. I bought the Apple version because I THOUGHT that it would be much better and more reliable, but definitely not worth any where NEAR the same price. My main reason as to buying it was to watch Netflix from my phone on to my smart tv, and the quality is the WORST. Not only is it VERY blurry, but it ALWAYS will cut the sound out with two minutes left of a show, and NOW, it is doing it more frequently throughout the show, so you can't just sit back and enjoy anything peacefully AT ALL. It's not blurry with YouTube or when using other apps, nor has the sound cut out (yet), and that's why I've given it two stars... But I'm assuming most people would want it for Netflix or Hulu, like I did, and I'm here to brutally say that IT. IS. NOT. WORTH. IT. I have had it. It is a complete mood kill, I mean who wouldn't get mad? And, I haven't even had it for that long what so ever (literally like two months), AND I don't use it a lot either! So, to sum up, DO NOT BUY this if your main purpose is for Netflix, Hulu, or any other app similar to those, because you will be very disappointed spending that much money with the outcome you will receive, and believe me, it's awful.

If you don't have a smart tv then this gadget is what you need for easy set up, to be able to watch tv from your iPhone to your tv. I caught a deal for ordering it online which was half off ! Works very well with computers too

Let’s me stream movies from my iPad to my TV. The only thing I don’t like is I have to keep it plugged into the wall adapter to charge it for it to work but that’s not a terrible thing. So excited I finally purchased this.

I use my phone as a second camera for sport live streaming. i connect HDMI to my Yolobox with out a problem. I use shoot app, it is free. so my NX3 is my main camera and iphone i only for wides. totally happy with this.

We use this in our nursery at church so anyone watching the little ones can quickly plug in their iPhone and see / hear video / audio on the HDTV. Perfect.

Of course this little adapter is pricey but worth it over the cheaper versions. It works well and haven't had any issues:

It only works for some streaming apps but not others. Sometimes the sound will work but not picture, and vice versa. It won’t work on Hulu, discovery, or Netflix for me but it will for Disney+ and YouTube. iPhones ios16 might have something to do with that too since I used to get my old cord to work with these apps prior. Wish they’d make another product that works. I’m not going to pay $150 for internet where I live when I could just stream from my phone. Lame

The price was cheaper that the other online retailers, the item came well packaged and work great.

Works well streaming workout videos from my iPhone without any lagging or any syncing issues.

This does not let you stream your paid services like Netflix from your phone to your TV. It's only for nonpaid services like YouTube. I even own and have downloaded movies to my phone through movies and more and I'm not able to even play the ones I own. I have a generic that does the exact same thing and I bought this one because you're supposed to be able to stream paid services through it but it's just as trashy as the generic one.
