I was super impressed with this for the first bunch of months that I had it. I loved adding CarPlay to my 2012 Subaru. I loved it so much I nearly $1,200 for the unit + installation + a 4-year extended warranty. HOWEVER... with every passing month and year, the CarPlay became less reliable. It drops ALL THE TIME -- which is horrible when I'm using it for navigation (I lose my maps/directions all the time when I'm trying to find my way to a location I'm not familiar with). It doesn't matter whether my connection is wired or wireless. Despite having the extended 4-year warranty from Abt, the times I've brought my car in to have Abt help me they have not been able to deal with the problem... Abt says it's a Pioneer or Apple problem (which sounds iffy to me since a lot of the times the CarPlay drops it's right after I've hit a bump in the road). Pioneer apparently hasn't released a firmware update since before I bought the unit. I absolutely regret this purchase. I don't know that I'll ever buy another after-market stereo again ever because of this. I wish I'd saved the money and kept my original stereo and just got a dashboard mount for my phone. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
