Like many laptops these days, my work-issued laptop is a small one with no Ethernet port and USB-C charging only. This is exactly what I needed to be able to use an Ethernet cable and charge the laptop at the same time. It works perfectly with no issues to report. PROS: - Small and lightweight; perfect for traveling. - Flexible cable allows for movement of laptop while in use. - Supports full gigabit Ethernet speeds. - Charges my small laptop at its full charging speed of 60W. CONS: - None to report! There may be some laptops out there that require more than 60W of power that this adapter supports, so be sure to check your laptop's current power supply and charging requirement before you purchase.

Belkin has been in the technology world forever, they really know how to come up with with new and innovated technology, I wished I had known about it months ago when I started working from home. But then I discovered an even better solution. There is a desktop app for the messaging app I was using. I installed the app and now I leave the phone in the kitchen and text away on the app on my computer. I don't even use the Belkin.

There is no setup involved! It works automatically. Highly recommend for a device that needs hard wired ethernet but wasn't built with it! This thing works just great! I have an old cellphone hooked up in my shop to play music from the internet. WiFi was spotty so this device connects my phone directly to ethernet and charges the phone at the same time. The connection is solid so there are no dropouts.

I have been following this and other like adapters in an attempt to find one that works with my Mevo cameras. Theoretically it should allow simultaneous ethernet and charging capability. The ones that work are few and far between. The Belkin usually goes for $40.00 - $45.00 but not wanting to spend that much just to try it out I have been waiting for something that was more affordable in case I had to deep 6 it. This one works great so far so I am beginning to develop more and more confidence in it as time progresses. Actually, now that I know it works, I would not hesitate to spend the $45.00 on it. This product charges my iPad Pro 5th gen and Mac Book pro 2020 with M1 well. However, it does not give me gig speed on either device. I have gig service through my ISP. I bought a CalDigit adapter through apple that cost 150 and I can get 930 by 930 no problem. With this Belkin most I can get is 700 by 600. Same USB C port on my Mac, same ethernet cable from CalDigit, same everything just different adapter. I plug in the CalDigit and get 930 by 930. I have included 2 screenshots. One with result through CalDigit and the other with this Belkin. Its the same results on both my devices. Again, I can get 930 by 930 on my iPad Pro 5th generation with the CalDigit but can't get more than 700 by 600 using the Balkin.

I purchased this specifically to replace Google's very own ethernet type c adapter for the 4K Chromecast with Google TV. I was hoping to get better performance, and I did. That said, I continued to use Google's brick but I plugged it into the female type c in the Belkin. Thus, I wasn't worried about low power problems people have mentioned and didn't have any. The second Belkin unit I purchased. I figured I would test a 3rd party brick with a 45 watt output. That one works perfectly too. Every spec tested in the internet speed test app you can install on Chromecast with Google TV is showing 3x better performance.
