The good: It does an efficient job. It's not as close as a real blade razor, but the trade off is convenience. I can shave my head quickly in the shower in less than 2 minutes. The shave is close enough that you can't tell the difference by just looking at it. You can feel the difference, though. There's also no nicks and cuts using this head shaver. That's a huge plus. My lady finds the shave acceptable, and for me that's the real test. \n\nThe bad: The pop up hair trimmer is all but useless. If a trimmer is the deciding factor for you when choosing a head shaver, I'd just pretend this shaver doesn't even have it. I keep an electric clipper nearby and use it instead when longer hair needs trimming. \nAnd finally the battery. The terrible battery. The run time is laughable. I fully charged it out of the box, and I used it once a day for seven days before the red charge light came on. At about 2 minutes per shave that's 14 minutes of run time on a full charge before the charge light illuminated. That's 28% of their claim of “up to 50 minutes of run time.” That's terrible and an established brand like Remington should be ashamed of that marketing. \n\nBut all said and done, I'd buy it again. I love the convenience, the shave is adequate, and I have more confidence in the reliability of Remington versus the many unknown brand name shavers for sale all over the internet. Replacement blade heads are a little pricey at $29 on average, but they're available everywhere online and shouldn't need a change very often.
