This product is so affordable and easy to use. You still have a great LED lightbulb you can set to come on, like on a schedule like dusk to dawn, or to come on in reaction to motion, or simply turn it on or off from your smart device. It can dim or brighten the bulb, and the camera beneath can see in 2k day or use night vision in color. I also got the Wyze 128G microSD card and it was already set up to format and record 24/7 without doing anything else but inserting it. The main reasons I ordered was 1) you still have a bulb in addition to the cam. 2) I already loved Wyze software and trusted their other tough affordable products. So I knew the software would be easy to navigate, even for my 84 year old mother. So I got her some too. I was right, she loves them and finds them easy to operate using Wyze software. She enjoys that I can check on her place too when I check my own. I actually prayed Wyze would come out with these because mom didn’t have electrical outlets on her front or back porch and the lighting wasn’t good for solar power option. Thanks God, and thanks Wyze! Great product easy to use at affordable price. Exceeded expectations. Wyze did it again!

When a friend who is former militarily say BUY this product you listen, then you buy 1, set it up, and try it out. You like it, so you buy a 2nd, set it up, then you use them for a week or 2 ... then you buy 4 more, then you buy 4 more, and now you own 10 cameras hooked up at 3 locations, home, cabin & Mother-in-laws (she is elderly & has a nasty neighbor) !!\n\n•Easy to set up ... check that box\n•No monthly fee ... check that box \n•It's relatively inexpensive ... check that box\n•Internet connected so you can share video feed ... check that box\n•Free App ... check that box\n•Easy to use App ... check that box \n\nThe only downside was a WYZE Server outage. This is a very clear camera. It has its downfalls like I'm not a fan of it no longer being magnetic (so can't stick it anywhere) requires a different cable so the extra long cables I have don't work since the head is different, and requires the mounting hardware to hang It anywhere but the screw is difficult to put in to connect it to the mounting plate (specially if you're trying to do it close to a corner or ceiling where there's limited space above the camera). But.. with all of that said it is still a very clear and nice camera setup. Changed out a few v3 cams with the pan v3 and love the color night vision. On full moon night (and about half the time) the camera is hard to tell night from day they're that clear. The interface is a little different because you have to go into the SD card for playback but not too difficult.

The wise cam pan V3 is really in the sweet spot of cost and quality. I've used one before and was pleased with it and I'm pleased with this one too. Super easy to install. Works flawlessly. And an incredibly low price point. We have a property with a small barn where we keep chickens, Nigerian Dwarf Goats, and a barn cat. I set up cameras in all of the stalls and the main central barn area. It allows us to keep tabs on things even though the barn is a fair distance from or house. We also are able to share the goat cams with friends and family who love watching them play. I started with three cameras and things worked out so well I added more. The ability to monitor for smoke.CO alarm tones allows me to have an alarm in the barn and be notified via the Wyze cam, even though it's too far away for us to hear the actual alarm. I also put one in my shop and am planning several outdoor cams. I have used Ring cameras. They are also work great but they are significantly more expensive. The Wyse cameras allow me to put in cameras everywhere I want them without having to worry about cost.

Makes a decent audio visual security cam. I don't have any other experience with internet security cams but i am very pleased with the wyze products. One of 3 cameras watching my radio communications site. The audio mic is not as sensitive as my two other OG model cams, which is good. The OG cams are too sensitive to sounds, Even a windy day would send me alarms. This one doesn't \nCon: The night IR lighting is very strong. It's too strong for light colored painted walls which my camera sees and the reflected light sometimes washes out details far and near. Setup is fairly easy. No regrets.\nJust hope the rotation motors hold up for a long life.

So far it has worked great. My dad was even shocked at how well it works he got him one for his house. On my own fault and rushing I may have mounted the camera the wrong way I'm not sure I haven't remembered to check that but regardless of that it still works perfectly. I'm not sure why I like the other wyze pan cam more... it could just be that was the first version I had because this works about the same (looks different is all) and this one has a better, more clear picture. Also this is an amazing price for what you are getting. I have another brand camera that I had before wyze and this works better than them.

It likes to chase snow flakes and drops of water off the roof. It does however follow useful targets really well too. I put it on a specific view to park and it has wandered higher than it should be and now I can't find the setting to set it back to where I want it. I also blacked out a busy road by my house so it won't chase cars going by any longer, but because it has moved out of its parked view position that area has opened up again and its back to chasing cars. For the price this camera can not be beat. The quality is excellent. I think the firmware could use a little tweaking and the software too.

I give this 4 stars only for my use. If this is mounted in it's supplied wall mount, perfect. I sat it on a shelf. It really isn't designed for that. The base is smooth with no grip to hold it in place. Since it turns every time it is put in security mode, and then spins back to its original position when it wakes up, the power cable to it tends to pull it out of position. I am attempting to fashion a heavy enough base to screw it to so it doesn't move or fall over. The camera itself works exceptionally well. Just wish a tad more thought would have been given to it being used free standing.

Well so far this thing is all about catching cars way off in the street but it completely missed 3 people leaving my house and getting into their car and driving off… and thought my mom was a car… maybe the camera is near sighted and one of the hidden fees is glasses for the camera? And yeah the website says no hidden fees but there’s more dlc than a modern “AAA” game lol\n\nIf the fees weren’t so expensive I might deal with it but I’m possibly going to return this and get a real security camera that does everything these cameras do but for $0 a month \n\nEven the waypoints are messed up, you have to trick it to use the default ones and if you do set them up it doesn’t keep the waypoints in order it glitches and will mess the order up, well it messes up the default one too but it really hates using the default waypoints \n\nOh and it says outdoor camera but you have to buy the outdoor power cord separately and of course it doesn’t come with an sdcard

Overall this is a great camera. Clarity, camera angle and ease of movement all are great. Installed and set up with ease. The only downside I’ve found is that the detection seems to be excessively sensitive even when turned all the way down. For example if my car is parked in the driveway and it’s lightly snowing it will detect the snow motion, see the car and then alert me. Had over 100 alerts in a single night. Or yesterday’s events show as person detected and it’s just a heavy snowfall. So great hardware, software leaves something to be desired.

I bought this camera to replace the second generation Wyze camera, which died after a few years. It took me a couple weeks to get this new camera to work properly. I would wake up in the morning to find that the camera had turned itself to face the wall, thus not recording anything of value or interest all night long. This happened several times. Looking online, I discovered that I needed to update the firmware again. So I did that, but no improvement. Then I did it again, because for some reason my first and second firmware updates had not brought the camera up-to-date. Things got better, but still weren’t quite right. I tried fiddling with advanced settings, and finally, on the third or fourth try, figured out that there is an obscure setting you have to select to focus the camera on the area you want surveilled, or else it will just turn to the wall and be useless. It’s working now, after a lot of annoying trial and error.

Fighting mice for a long time so bought this to find where they are getting in the kitchen. Set up was horrid for a non-techie - but after a few aspirins, it got done.Set it up to find where the mice are getting in. Within 1 hrs of setting it up, I was in bed watching and found where one was coming in via the video. That was so helpful!! Maybe I'll find other uses ; ) since I got the window mount. Wish you included a SD card adapter for the computer but it isn't really necessary. Thanks!

So after further review and I tried several other cameras that were way more expensive, that had better reviews from their own site but turned out to not be very good cameras after all but they were super expensive… So I had a camera in mind what I wanted it to do and all the features. So I turned to Wyze like my colleague recommended. I started my research and decided to give them a try. After receiving the first camera and installing it… I am very shocked and impressed with the quality of these cameras… These cameras are the best I have found and I quit looking… I have tried over 6 different brands out and Wyze is number 1! I will recommend then to everyone.

I bought this little camera over a year ago to monitor my handicapped cat while at work. He has since passed but now I use it between work and home to monitor my office cats' feeding station and elderly house cat. It has been a godsend and the performance cannot be beat for the price. The clarity is 100% and night vision is amazingly good even in complete darkness. I do not use or need the payment plan they offer for streaming. I can just bring it up on my phone and monitor live-feed any time I need. 100% recommend. I will probably buy another one soon so I don't have to tote this one back & forth. I will be trying it out in the rain soon to see how well it holds up in inclement weather & update.

Bought this camera to replace a Furbo Dog Camera that now comes totally disabled unless you buy a subscription. This Wyze cam was bought specifically to watch the dog. Furbo used to let you use some basic functions upon purchase but no more. It was sent back. We are getting subscription weary, subs for everything. We are happy that Wyze doesn't force a sub to use something. If need the sub I'll get one. The cam was easy to setup as we have an existing account with a bunch of Wyze devices on it including other cams. Love that it follows the dog around where Furbo wanted to charge for that.\n\nEasy setup, nice clear image the all around movent of the cam is also great. Happy & No issues here,

Excellent image quality and easy to setup (as all Wyze products are). I believe the detection sensitivity settings still need work - If I set it higher, blowing light rain/snow/dust will make the camera track too much / If I set it lower, it won't pickup me walking by. It's not an easy issue, but needs some work. I would also have a feature that 'returns' camera to previous location after tracking. Keep up the great work Wyze team!

I have 14 Cam Pan v3 cameras in use currently. I also currently have 3 Cam Pan v3 cameras in my camera graveyard. They end up in the graveyard when they stop being able to write to/read from an SD card. The last 4 Cam Pan v3 cameras I have purchased were to replace the ones that failed. The Cam Pan v3 work quite well with the exception of the occasional connection issue. That is until the SD read/write capability dies.

Excellent picture quality and works very well when mounted right side up. When mounted upside down it loses its orientation and faces the house brick wall as the home position. Obviously it can then no longer track motion.\nI would highly recommend a home button in the app, right in the center in the directional "disc". This would then be the permanent direction that the camera would return to after 10 sec.

I like the modern minimalist design. fully articulate meaning no blind spot. I purchased it during a holiday sale and it came with an SD card which is awesome give you options, to record at home and or purchase a subscription. I like options. if I have a gripe for the price really can't complain except maybe it lacking a spot light but it does have night vision and motion tracking. I like the motion tracking. people get the feeling that they're being watched with the tracking and in this neighborhood it suits me just fine to have a persistent all knowing eye watching even when I can't. people mind themselves when they know someone is watching.

Basic (no subscription ) Motion sensor is very sensitive. Shadows, bugs easily set it off. However, with the paid subscription (very reasonable priced) you can eliminate a lot of these notifications. Pan scan seems a little off, does pan but, doesn't go back to my first station. still playing with the different settings. I like that you can manually move the view around from the app.

Has been working well for me except that I have to learn how to start and stop it.\r\nFrom the beginning I left it on and panning 24 hours a day but now I only turn it on when I am away from home because I have not learned how to set it up to take people movements only. I had many pics of noises only and then had to figure out how to delete all of those. I am learning these setups now.

The quality of imaging is great. But for what ever reason every two years they just stop working and the red dot doesnt go away. I end up having to keep buying them because CS will tell you they're out of warranty. It's definitely a manufacture issue. This is my third camera i've had to buy for inside my home but the monthly plan is cheap that's the only reason I keep it.

Great camera with good low light and a good price. Because it's screwed to it's base, it's a little hard to get it centered in the direction you want it to point. I spent quite a bit of time unscrewing it, centering it, checking it's range of motion, and then doing it over until I finally got it where I wanted. Maybe setup was my issue, but for me, it was an issue.

I wanted this set of products so that the porch lights would come on automatically when someone approached our door. Installation was easy and this solution lets me have a camera in a difficult place. However, the camera's movement detection is too sensitive even all the way down on the app's slider, the "detection zone" settings don't seem to make any difference, and the dimmest bulb brightness is too bright. The porch lights end up flashing on all night, triggered by the wind. I'm not completely satisfied with these products for my use case, but I am stumped as to another solution so I am leaving them installed for now. I do like Wyze products in general and have many bulbs and smart plugs automating lighting everywhere else in the house.

So far I’m happy with this camera. There are some minor bugs that are annoying. \n1. To turn on the pan scan feature you have to slide the center bar to find pan scan. Nothing indicates that the line is slidable. \n2. Sometimes the camera thinks it sees something and just points straight up at the roof and gets lost.

A good camera, needs a more detailed picture. I have to restart the frozen image frequently. Looking at images 200 feet away are blurry & hard to see detail. Panning the camera is often delayed or freezes the camera 📷 image. Low light works well. Easy to setup & install. Anxious for a camera with a better image.

Using several CAM3's and one CAM4. Have found that the small white USB power cubes don't hold up. Two have failed after a year or so of use. Switching to a more robust cube, 2 amp or so capacity, seems to fix the problem. \nCameras themselves are great, really like the low light color capability of the 4.
