This fridge looks great and is economical (lower power usage, dimming lights, door open reminder, etc.), but it is lacking in some respects. First, the shelves are too close together. In my household we drink a lot of milk, and the shelves don't even fit a gallon of milk standing upright. Sure, you can move the shelf up or down one space, but that makes the other shelves unusable other than small things in the front (it makes it difficult to reach to the back if there were items back further). Second, there is no way to shut off the annoying "door open" alarm. If I'm filling the fridge from a full shopping trip, I need the doors open longer than 20 seconds to fill and organize the space. There should be an option to shut that alarm off and then turn it back on again after. Third, the right side door doesn't stay open. I've ensured the fridge is level, and the left door stays open fine, but the right side swings shut immediately after I stop holding it open. It makes it difficult to use the fridge. \n\nWith that said, there are some benefits to using this fridge. The connection to the app lets you know in real time the temperature of the fridge/freezer as well as if there is something going wrong with the fridge. And I like the dimming light feature for when it is dark in the house. We have an opening in our wall and were very limited on size options, so we chose this LG French door refrigerator with the ice maker in the door. Overall, it’s a good fridge and I am giving it 4 stars, but there are a few little annoyances that keep it from being perfect.\r\nThe refrigerator side has a lot of room inside and the divided freezer compartment is really nice. I also like having the extra ice maker in the freezer. The fridge looks nice and works well overall.\r\nThat said, I do miss the small door compartment that many older refrigerators used to have. The ice and water dispenser is convenient, but awkward to use with certain cups. Not all cups fit under the spout nicely, especially larger ones, so sometimes you have to tilt the cup or push the button with one hand while holding the cup with the other. There’s also no catch tray under the dispenser, so extra water drips onto the floor.\r\nThe freezer ice maker works fine, but ice tends to build up around it, and almost every time the freezer drawer opens, at least one ice cube falls into the bottom of the freezer or onto the floor. The ice maker itself is not overly loud, but it makes a sound similar to a tractor running nearby or a large truck outside.\r\nOverall, this is a good refrigerator which we have had for about a month has plenty of storage and useful features, but I would gladly pay a little more if LG fixed these small annoyances.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stunning, sleek, stylish. I could go on and on about this fridge. Let's start from the bottom drawer freezer and work our way up. The freezer has a super easy and gentle glide. It has a large bottom area in the freezer split into two sections. On top of that is a drawer that holds smaller items in the freezer as well as an ice chest for your made to go ice. The lighting in the freezer is bright and easy to see every angle to look for something down at the bottom of the freezer. Now for the fridge area. I adore the French doors. They have a magnetic closure that is slow so it doesn't slam. The lighting inside is florescent and so bright to cover every inch of the fridge. The doors both have three areas each for drinks, sauces, or whatever you would like. The shelves in the main area are large, wide, and spacious. There are two drawers side by side to use for produce or other items. I have one full of fruits and veggies and the other full of cheeses and deli meat. There is a third drawer that is thin and sleek underneath the other two drawers. I decided to turn that into a "snack" drawer for my children. The outside of the fridge does not look ginormous but the inside blows me away because there is so much space. \n\nThe only thing I wasn't a fan of was the shelves on the inside of the fridge part were close together. No milk jugs or coffee creamer would fit. So I had to readjust the shelves. The doors do not open wide enough to do that. So I went back to the instruction manual and could not find useful information to adjust the shelving. I ended up resorting to Google and read that you left the doors up and shift them to make them open wider. That helped a ton and I was able to adjust the inner shelves to better fit our milk. Other than that, I am extremely happy with this fridge/freezer. It has so much to offer. \n\nI have five little kids and a husband, things get messy sometimes but the fridge isn't full of fingerprints. They all adore the lighting and the French door style to see everything in the fridge. We are a house of seven and are very pleased with this product. I would recommend to smaller or larger families. There is enough space for everyone.

My expectation is: Another disposal refrigerator that will be in a landfill in 5 years. \nIt looks.. fine. It cools.. fine. My next kitchen will not have black stainless. LG black stainless is typically just a vinyl-like wrap over an existing stainless steel finish. It isn't resilient, at all - which is the whole point in stainless steel. \n\nI viscerally hate the water - ice selector on this generation of LG fridge. It is as if some designer obsessed with minimalism following an Iowaska trip sent all of the engineers out of the room and enforced this moronic design. To chose between ice, water and crushed ice there is a single button and three indicator lights. We find ourselves always two button presses from whatever we actually want at any given moment. That is, assuming the button actually works. It isn't a very good capacitive button to begin with. \n\nI bought this fridge because my existing LG fridge had an in-warranty compressor failure that was somehow still going to cost me $500-$1200 to replace and they couldn't commit to fixing it within a month.\nI wouldn't have bought another LG at all but the house was under a real estate contract, so I replaced it with an alike-model. \n\nOver the life of that fridge, they sent out a parade of techs (20+ times!) to fix the icemaker on that unit and they ended up in some kind of parts-swap / compatibility dead end where I literally had to design and 3D print a bracket he wasn't able to source. Most of the local appliance repair folks I talked with refuse to even work on LG fridges.\n\nAre these fridges the worst thing ever? Nope. Just know what you are buying. Our grandparents and parents had 30 year appliances that were serviceable. We live in the era of beautiful designed-to-fail disposable appliances and these LG fridges are a cornerstone of that social contract.

We have had this refrigerator for a little over a month. The main area is very spacious, with plenty of door shelves. It has a full width deli tray that is very useful. The freezer has two pullout drawers and a large bucket that stores ice from the ice maker. \r\nI would have given 5 stars but the right door doesn't open wide enough to take out the internal shelves if you want to move them up or down. This seems to be caused by a defect on the door bracket. From reading reviews we are not the only people to have this problem. Home Depot sent someone out to take off the door so that we could move the internal shelves, then they put the door back on. We are happy where they are now, and I could take the door off in the future if we really wanted to move them again.

Very nice.. theres a thin layer of plastic over it we chose to leave it on to keep like new.. you will be clwaning it alot and it does dent easy got a small dent from door hiting wall.. but it does make alot ice one in the drawer and then crushed or cubbed or water on the door dispenser.. we had it 4 days so far we shall see how it holds up.. make sure you got 1 or 2 iches on each side so the doors dont hit the wall! The only big issue was lack of communication with delivery..they never called to set up a time night before they did call ans say 10 mins away the day of but then showed up a hour later but the delivery guy was very nice we didnt think je culd set up the water lime since i had a old one but he got it figured out.

Lots of light for both the fridge and freezer. It quickly got to, and is holding, the right temperature. I am not as happy with the slide out drawers in the freezer. There is a lot of wasted space because of the drawers. It would be better if it had a shelf and a normal door much like a top freezer unit. I also had a hard time adjusting the shelves as the doors don't open wide enough to pull the shelves straight out to adjust them to a different level. But the fridge capacity is wonderful! I have so much more room for fresh foods now! Looks great.

Well, it was definitely a great run, but my 31 year old side by side refrigerator finally gave out just after the holidays. After much research, we decided on a new LG French door. I absolutely love the wide open space of the refrigerator, compared to the compartmental arrangement of a side by side, however I’m still getting used to the slide out freezer drawer. Organizing it takes a bit of thought. I have it filled to capacity, and I must be careful not to pile the food too high or the drawer will not open. Other than that, I like the sleek lines and the “touch less”stainless steel exterior. It wipes up easily with a microfiber cloth. Now if only I could get anther 31 years out of this one.

We've had a 33 inch French door fridge for the past 13 years and were extremely happy with it so when it broke down we looked into having it fixed before looking doe a new one. Unfortunately, we found out it would cost as much to fix as by a new one so we bought the newest version of what we had. To our surprise the new model's hinges don't allow the doors to open as wide as our previous LG fridge. The old fridge two doors opened 54 inches wide the new model only opens 45 inches. Furthermore, we find the shelves cannot be adjusted to the same levels as the old model. It's disappointing. I can honestly say that new is not necessarily improved. All else is good.

We initially chose this fridge to replace our fridge in the garage but realized afterwards that this fridge doesn't offer a Garage kit and will have issues with temps that we get in our garage. We have since moved it to our basement for additional storage. It is a nice clean fridge with well designed storage in the freezer (2 drawers), and also in the fridge, 3 adjustable shelves on each door, 3 shelves, and 2 drawers. I tested this before we used it to see how it held temp and it went to the temp settings and help their without much change. We are planning on finishing off the basement in the near future, so this will fit in well with it's included ice maker.

Only one complaint. Too little flexibility on how to arrange the shelves. Tall bottles and jars (milk, orange juice, wine, beer, some salad dressings, some condiments . . .) must be kept in the door. Either that, or at least one interior shelf must be devoted to only very short or flat items, and it would be very difficult to reach items located at the back of the short-stuff shelf; furthermore, it would likely be necessary to find some sort of third-party shelved-storage device (probably intended for use in a pantry) to make full use of the oversized tall-stuff shelf. So far, I am making do with just the door storage, but that is an ongoing challenge.

We were upgrading from a standard traditional, no bells or whistles, fridge and boy does this feel like an upgrade! The fridge itself is not much bigger than our old unit in the amount of room it takes up, but the inside seems so much larger. We have tons of space. Our old fridge looked crammed and packed, when we moved our items over to this fridge it looks bare! The ice machine is another story, it makes cubed Ice. Actual cubes, not those elongated ice cubes. There’s even a function to put ice making into overdrive, we tried it out when we first started the fridge to test it out— can’t imagine the amount of ice it would make after the fridge is fully functioning for over 24 hours. This thing makes soooo much ice, it’s incredible. The fridge didn’t even take a full 12 hours to get to the set temperatures. I’m amazed at the option to connect to the LG app. When connected, it tells you when your door has been open for too long. You can change the temp and the ice amount from the app. And a huge bonus, if something were to go wrong with your fridge, the app will tell you! The app offers smart diagnosis. It also tells you how much you have left on your water filter, so you never will be left scattering to order one last minute. This is honestly amazing, it feels like such a luxurious item. Couldn’t be more happy with it.

I love the door-in-door feature. I wish I could have found it in a larger capacity refrigerator, or in a side-by-side style. For me, an annoying drawback of this fridge is the left side door slamming shut because it is heavy from the ice maker being embedded in it. Also, the water and ice dispenser works in an odd way to change functions, and it sweats a lot. I can feel the cold air coming out, and it causes condensation. I'm not a huge fan of the pull-out freezer because it tends to become disorganized since it is basically a truck rather than shelving.

Excellent fridge for big needs!\n\nFrench door fridges are great if you have lots of freezer goods and still want ice supplied, but don't need an in door water dispenser.\n\nHook up is easy, attach the water line and plug it in.\n\nTemp and other controls are on the inside right of the fridge wall, and you can use the ThinQ app.\n\nFilters are easy to swap and you can get spares at Home Depot using the part number on the filter itself.\n\nDoor capacity is large enough for multiple gallons of milk, gallon size bottles of OJ and anything else. Both doors have large bins and can hold extra big containers. The door bins are not adjustable, but can be removed for cleaning or making more space.\n\nThe freezer has one very large lower bin split into two sides and then you have an upper drawer that slides out which holds the ice cube bucket and has room for smaller items you do want want sinking to the bottom of the larger bin below. \nThis is handy as many french door refrigerators only have one massive bin for the freezer and a tiny ice try you slide out. Having a split bin AND a pull out drawer is way more convenient. \n\nThe LED lighting is adequate, but I'd like to see more strips to view the back of the fridge section.\n\nOverall, highly recommended.\n\nI dig the thin lower door, using all the space you can, just tall enough for potatoes and cucumbers or a thawed pizza, etc.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] takes approximately 24 hours for the fridge to get to its cooling temperature. freezer part kicked in right away. love the space in the fridge but not a fan of having to move a rack closer to another to fit jugs straight in. love the freezer, especially the sliding top drawer. like that the ice catcher’s bin is slotted so that you don’t have to worry about if it’s in the correct place. fridge has more features that I have not explored yet, but looking forward to it.

The space around the refrigerator to open is not 1/8 of inch like on the diagrams. The hinge of the door is much wider and it will not fit in a 34 inch space if it is by a wall on either side, see 2nd picture below, right door will not open. The Home Depot calculation tool was not correct when we said we had 34 inches of space it said it would work. Otherwise the refrigerator is great, very spacious and looks great now that we have renovated our kitchen, the first picture shows after the renovation.

Changing from our previous split shelf fridge to this one required some changes in how we organize items in the fridge. \r\n\r\nThe shape of the 'in-door' bins and their limited positions makes them a little less useful than the bins we were used to on our previous LG fridge. \r\n\r\nAdjusting the location of the movable shelves isn't intuitive and is also not well documented. We needed to find a You Tube video to discover how to do this (hence the 4 star rather than 5 star rating)

We purchased this refrigerator on 2/18/20. This is our second LG French door refrigerator (we had to leave the first one behind when we moved). Because of space restrictions, we chose to go with the 33" wide. We gained extra cubic footage by eliminating the in-door dispenser system (and the extra chance of problems with it). The finish on the stainless steel does minimize fingerprints and a damp microfiber cloth removes any that occur. The accessibility of a lower freezer is more convenient to me (I'm 5 ft tall), but reaching the very back of the refrigerator can offer a small challenge since it is deep! But average height people will not have a problem with that. It runs quietly so we don't hear it cycling off and on (freezer part) as we did with our old Whirlpool. Ice maker works efficiently and can be turned off if we have a full ice bin. We have only had this refrigerator for 10 days, but if it is as reliable as our previous one, we will be enjoying this one for a long time - especially with a 10-year warranty on the compressor.\nThe Best Buy Geek Squad did a wonderful job- removing our old frig, installing the LG and removing all the annoying but necessary film and tape on the shelves and doors. They connected the water line, explained what we needed to know and did this in under 25 minutes! They were a great team!

Good design as far as the refrigeration/freezer. But the door shelves are flawed. First of all, the spacing is awkward, but most of all, after awhile the plastic shelves loosen and fall off the door. When the last one did 3 days ago, an unopened wine bottle fell on my big toe - then shattered. Second broken shelf in six months. Plastic cover over the pull out snack tray is now cracked - don't know how that happened. Will the 3 yr protection play replace? Let you know.

LF25S6200S storage configuration is not very flexible. I bought this new unit to replace my LG LFC24786ST which I *LOVED. The new unit is same size, capacity, and general design; but the new unit is much less flexible in terms of adjusting the storage configuration. \nThe new unit's doors only open to 150degrees, not flat to 180 like my old unit. The new unit has full width, not split width shelves. The inner full width shelves cannot be removed because they are blocked by the doors not swinging wide enough. (There is no clearance issue, there is nothing blocking the doors from opening to a full 180degrees. But LG live agent has confirmed that the doors will only open to max 150 degrees.) This also makes the vegetable bins awkward to remove for cleaning. As someone else noted, the left door opens slightly more, so that side's vegetable bin is a bit easier to remove. \nOnly the left middle door bin can be adjusted up or down; the others have only 1 position. The door bins are removable, but that isn't as helpful as an up/down option.\nThe freezer compartment has as fixed divider in the middle of the lower bin. In my old unit, the freezer divider was able to move left or right so that I could decide the split.

It a relief to get a refrigerator that works great. My last LG fridge quit cooling in the freezer zone after 9 years. What happened to the good old Kenmore brand which lasted over 20 years.\r\nThis Lg model is a basic type. It does not have handles for the inside drawers which I find are harder to open to get your fridge items out. Overall, it seems like a good fridge which I hope will last, fingers crossed, at least 10 years.

I'm happy with the cooling and aesthetics of the fridge. This newer model lost its enclosed butter rack but overall features are good. This is a replacement of my 2018 model which had that compressor issue so I'm hoping the new design will last much longer than the previous one. For the model, design, size and cost, this had the best features, capacity and aesthetics for the cost. Hopefully it lasts!

They have the gallon bins, more room to put your juices drinks, and milk etc, the. Refrigerator is very spacious and the freezer at the bottom is definitely spacious. You have 2 draws. You could put your small stuff at the top where the ice maker's at and yes the ice makers is inside and I love it opposed to out. But yes, I will recommend this to any and everybody who's looking to replace their refrigerator this is it, it is so roomy you have more than enough room in that refrigerator. Another feature that I like on the. Refrigerator is that you could access it through your app on your phone? Where like if you get up in the middle of the night and you want something to drink or something to eat, you could control the lighting on your phone in the Lg App. That way, when you wake up and go get something to drink or eat out of the refrigerator that bright light won't affect you to where you won't be able to go back to sleep.So you can control the lighting just like you do on your phone.I really love that feature, and yes I do have reorganize my refrigerator.

This is a very nice refrigerator and freezer. The option to have cubed or crushed ice is terrific! The unit operates extremely quietly! The downside is not being able to adjust the shelves so a gallon of milk can be on a shelf while other shelves still have room for containers. The milk can go on the door shelf, but not enough room for more than two tall products.

I've had this for a couple of weeks now and I thought I got it in the perfect time to finish up a kitchen remodel, but since when does a contractor ever meet their mark right? As such, I have not been able to install this refrigerator, and it is taking up room in my garage at the moment. I did unbox it so that I could look at the finish and interior of it and I really like the details of it. \n\nThe exterior finish is stainless-steel but has some sort of coating that reduces fingerprints. It's actually a really nice finish and looks easier to clean than your standard stainless-steel appliance. The interior is well lit and has LED’s that provide plenty of light. The shelves are about 18” deep which is perfect for my usage. The refrigerator does make ice, but does not dispense it or water. There is an ice bucket in the top row of the freezer and the ice drops into that. It does take up a little bit of space, but its not too bad. It came well packaged and included the filter that is needed.\n\nI’ve had at least three LG refrigerators over the years between my house and my rental properties and they last very long and I’ve had minimal issues with them. This is a brand that I trust and would recommend it.

Very very basic. I went from a super fancy french door to this. The crisper drawers have huge gaps, doors do not close so veggies won't last as long. I thought they were supposed to "seal". Shelving is cheap and hard to move. My last refrigerator you could move the shelves around easily to accommodate special sizes. This does NOT fit wine bottles, so be warned. You can lay then horizontal but if you open one and want to put it back, you will be in a pickle. It is smaller than I am used to and not special butter section (if that is important to you). I live alone and find this small, can't imagine a family of 4 using this. Came with an LG water line. Water tastes like plastic 2 months later. I had a new stainless steel water line but was told I need to use the LG plastic one that came with it. I get white dry particles from the dispenser (I never use the water dispenser or ice in door due to taste). Function wise, I guess it is fine but design wise - I am having issues. I bought without seeing it, so my mistake. Not sure if I will be keeping this unit.

The LG fridge is sleek and modern. It matches with the design of my kitchen. I like the Instaview door and the water and ice dispenser by the door. I'm just hoping that this fridge would last longer than my Samsung fridge. I'm expecting it to last more than 10 years without any problems.
