I have the MALM bedroom set and was hoping this Storklinta model would fit in with it, but I was so wrong. The only difference between this model and the MALM one, is that the bottom base is smaller, so it looks shorter than the MALM one does. It's definitely not the same quality as the MALM model, either. It seems very cheaply constructed and wobbly in comparison. The handyman we've hired to assemble all our IKEA products had a few issues with the instructions, and it took him much longer to assemble this 6-drawer than it did the MALM one. Something changed, and not for the better. I'd like to recommend to IKEA that they should consider making the base higher, so it's at least the same height as the MALM one is. I'm going to be paying a carpenter to build me a base for the Storklinta one so it looks like more of a match for the superior MALM model. Sorry to say that IKEA really messed up with this one.

I love this dresser, it’s a great size and the double drawers at the top are such a great feature. The glass topper is wonderful for adding a touch of luxury and helping keep the top scratch free. The one thing that is not great is the curved finger grooves that help open the drawers. They are extremely difficult to clean, I live in the desert and no matter what I do there is dust. I wish they were just slightly angled rather than these deep curves. Grime just collects there even if you clean them every week

I built the storlinka as an in-closet storage option on both sides of the closet. The building process was easy enough for me to build mostly on my own. The only downside is that the material is not particularly high quality and chip and scratches easily; while getting the drawers into the the drawer slide, the corners clipped the outer structure of the shelf

I initially bought this to replace my broken one I bought a few years ago because I actually liked this dresser. However, the top cover came damaged. It was warped in the corners and was missing paint so I had to return it. I decided not to repurchase the dresser. But I still have one at my house for my kids and I love the lock system so I would recommend!

Love the muted green color. Deep drawers. I didn’t need the drawer locking mechanism so I removed it. I don’t have any kids nor do I live in an earthquake area so I’m ok with this. It’s almost like magic how the drawers can fit so much. It is made from particle board but the quality is great. It’s heavy once all put together. The drawers roll nicely. Just watch out which can lock nuts you are using. As there are two different sizes. Yes they are colored differently. But the print on the instructions are tiny and the cam lock number is hard to see.

there are a few types of anchors that are plastic and require no tools or screwdrivers and I wonder, can't the entire thing be built using those? So much easier! \n\nI've had calluses since I put this together! Love the design, color and we did purchase the glass top because it elevates the dresser 1,000 percent.

This dresser seems to be sturdy and fairly easy to assemble (as long as you follow directions from pictures and minimal written instruction). I had two sets assembled in about three hours.\n\nMany of the assembly parts are plastic (which makes it more affordable). My only issue would be that some of the lock nuts crack easily. So, be cautious when assembling. A few extras in the packaging would be ideal, but then again, affordability.\n\nOverall, it works for my home office. And matches my other furniture, as well.

I had a few Malm dressers throughout the years and through a lot of moving. The dressers endured quite a bit of misuse by my kids but were still standing until last year when I decided to put two at the curb and gave one more to Goodwill. With that said, I now had to replace those and thought the Storklinta dresser would be just like my old Malms. I bought two of the 6-drawer dressers. As always, easy to assemble and good looking but, the veneer material is of a cheap quality. One of the dressers is already peeling. Also, the screws on one were white while the other dresser had black screws. How come, if both are the same?

This dresser offers excellent value with deep, spacious drawers that provide plenty of storage. Assembly was straightforward, and it feels very sturdy in everyday use, even without being anchored to the wall. The locking system was something I wasn’t sure about at first, but I’ve come to appreciate both its functionality and the added safety it provides. I purchased two of these dressers to go into our master closet. They were very easy to put together and they look great in the closet. The drawers open and close very smoothly. They also have a safety feature where you can lock the drawers so that only one opens at a time. The only suggestion I would make to IKEA is that for the assembly parts that are plastic at least one extra piece should be included as a spare.

I found it easy to put together, if you did not rush and followed the instructions carefully. Everything fit in as they should. Take your time. Don't try to rush the assembly. I put mine together in the livingroom and they left it there for 48 hrs or so for glue smell etc to clear out. Strongly suggest that you follow the Ikea instructions AND NOT reviewer comments.

I purchased 2 of these in the green for my very small Manhattan bedroom. They fit snugly together as if they are one larger dresser. I bought the glass tops, which elevates the look. I used Taskrabbit to put them together, and it took him no time at all, and they seem to be functioning well. I am very pleased.

It was a bit tedious to assemble but it was worth it for the final piece. It’s very solid, a heavy piece with good storage space. The fact that only one drawer opens at a time is a nice touch for stability. Highly recommend this piece.

We have a full malm bedroom and went to purchase the taller 6 drawer dresser. It’s a nice colour, but doesn’t match the dark brown espresso colour of the malm. The drawers are loud and don’t shut nicely like the malm did. I feel as though it’s a cheaper make and the measurements are smaller. \nIt does the job, but I wish they did not change the above.
