[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy HP as a brand and for their tech products. I like the simplicity of this printer as well as the easy connectivity process. I didn't like the advertisements and pop up notifications especially when I downloaded the recommended app. It felt very annoying and I wish it was a way to bypass it. \n\nThe printer overall is a nice size and not too bulky or heavy it's a great standard printer and I haven't experienced issues with printing.\n\nLastly , the photo printing process was a little confusing but I was able to connect via the app. Overall , I would definitely recommend as great budget printer.

The setup instructions appeared straight forward. The problem was none of it worked. I could get it to connect to the router but it wouldn't complete the HP-host setup. It kept posting 'an unknown error'. A deep-dive into the HP web-site suggested using the printer's web-server to initialize its interface. I set a fixed IP in the router for the printer, moved the printer next to the router, opened the printer web-server and initialized it, & finally got the setup to complete successfully. A real PITA.\nOnce the setup was completed, the printing itself is fine. Good, crisp colors.

I like my printer very much, it prints clear and fast and it also does both sides of a page without my doing a thing. I had lots of trouble trying to get my computer to communicate with my printer. After three days and the use of both the IT folks from HP as well as from my computer I am now able to print. It was not clear to anyone that I dealt with that I was not to use my ENVY 6155e as the printer to use but rather another category (something like "all inclusive"). It works fine now so nothing got thrown out my window and in time I'll forget the trouble I had..

I bought this HP to replace an older model Hp that had been a great printer. This new one looks great and I connected it up as soon as it arrived, but, I was so disappointed in the speed of the printing process. My,old one was three times as fast as the new one which I find very strange, as you would think a model at least five years younger would be ‘new and improved'. Apart from the speed, it looks good and prints well, but I need to patient while waiting for my next new recipe or printed email!

Generally very pleased with this printer, especially at the discounted price and with free months of Instant Ink and paper. One small criticism - the screen is tiny and therefore a little difficult to read and use. I've had several HP printers in the past and this one is the best value for money by far; the only feature it doesn't have that my previous printers did is a document feeder.

I haven't had the HP Envy6555e very long, so I gave it a four rather than a five. But that given, it has worked well since installing it. I did have a bit of a struggle installing it, but our 15 yr old grandson fixed that. At one point, I called HP support as the printer was not recognizing HP Smart and the support gentleman was very good.

I really like all Hp products, but especially the All in one series. I am having problems setting up the scanner, but I know all I have to do is call Hp support and they will load it for me. I just haven't had the time. I recommend these products. I've tried all the different brands out there on the market but this is best for me.

Set up instructions insisted on using smaller ones as with order. However these would not work and I spent many days trying to get it to work. By day 8 I was ready to give up but decided to put in new ink cartridges ordered at the same time as the printer and guess what it worked. I have not tried scanning yet.

I have always had HP products and have really liked my printers. The 6100e is a great printer for the money. Copies are crisp and clear. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the paper holder does not come out automatically like on my 4500. You have to manually pull it out which is extremely inconvenient.

I was very happy with the performance of the printer when I would print from the computer. However when printing from my iPhone it would print a page and a half and error out. Everytime! I haven't had time to call HP on this issue but intend to do that soon. I'm sure it's something I am doing wrong.

This is my second HP Envy printer. Set up was easy although I had to switch to the mobile app from my laptop to finish the setup. The wifi was doing good but after 3 weeks, it was disconnecting. I had to do a reset and re-install the printer. Print quality is great and the instant ink is good.

The ease of search on the website was great, and on contacting an agent to confirm a tech issue, I bought. The printer was delivered very quickly and installed easily. Converting my Instant Ink account to the new printer was a nightmare, so some liaison between the two teams is needed

Overall it serves what I need. I do not lije the SCAN feature, it doesn't let me scan as a PDF, everything has to be scanned to HP cloud and its a JPEG, i really dislike this. When I try to scan from the HP app on my laptop it says it cannot connect to my printer....

works ok when I figure out how to use it. The ink cartridges are really hard to replace. I messed up one ink cartridge trying to figure out how to install. Basically, I do not like it. my old HP printer was easy to work with. I miss it.

I purchased this printer a week ago, shipping was fast. Love the quality.\nImportant to notice the ink cartridges are not separated so if you run out of one color you'll need to change the rest of them except the black.

I was told by HP that you could print via a Bluetooth connection which turns out not to be true. I works through you wireless network, or through a usB connection. Otherwise, a very nice machine.

I like the white finish. Ink change to the larger cartridge was easy. I was disconcerted when my first scan appeared inverted but it was a relief (joke) when it rotated when I selected 'apply"

It's quiet. A little slow to strt printing. I had an awful time getting it to connect with the WiFi. Don't ask how I did it - I have no idea!! Just tapped on buttons until I got it right

The setup was very easy and uncomplicated. I am very happy to have an HP printer again to useeach time I require printing. Clean and quick. HP has always been my go to

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This HP6555e printer is phenomenal! It has a super clean and sleek design. A far cry from the old big clunky eye sores printers I've used in the past. It has some weight to it and appears to be made of good quality materials. Doesn't take up near as much room as the older models either. The front loading paper feeder is a godsend! No more back bending struggle to reload paper into the back feeder. Amazing! The set up took about 10 minutes for me but I had a weird error. Restarting my phone seemed to fix it and we were in business in no time. Connecting it to my Wi-Fi was a breeze. With five clicks I had it connected to my laptop. So easy. It comes with an easy guide online that is only a few short, easy to understand steps. It prompts you in the paperwork, website and even the touch screen guide to help you set it up. The print quality on plain paper was kind of shocking. It was super sharp, the sharpest I've seen. Beautiful even. I'm even considering using this printer for labels for my business versus ordering them from another company because the quality is just that good. It makes some noise while printing, which is inevitable, but it's not excessive and won't disturb anyone in your home or office. This will be used for both as I have a small home business. So far I am very pleased with the easy to use touch screen, easy to load paper feed and amazing quality it provides in its prints. I wish I switched to HP sooner. The ink replacement is also nearly 30% less than the cost of my previous printers ink. So it's already saving me money which is just a bonus!

ran out of black ink.. and lost my discoumt card.. a new printer shoiuld not have so may issues. to get in..

The HP Envy 6555e is an aesthetic and low-profile printer that produces vibrant prints and scan. It functions great at its main purpose, but set-up was the most frustrating process I have encountered in a printer in years. I have set-up several printers over the years, some for home and some for business, and truly have not faced such exasperation during the set-up process of any printer thus far. Nowadays, printers take a few minutes to set-up, an alignment is done, and they’re good to go. This is what the Envy seemed to be intended to do, but it got stuck during alignment, repeating a paper jam alert before it had even taken in any paper. Eventually I was able to “hide” the alert, and it stopped coming up, after which the printer resumed on to the alignment page printout. After this, it got stuck on a screen showing the alignment printout was complete. I could not figure out how to get past that screen. I tried the app to no avail. I pressed the power button in the back to power it off, walked away for a minute, and came back to find it on and responsive again. At this point I kept getting an alert that set-up was incomplete, but it was still working. Apart from this, there was another moment where it became unresponsive. I finally unplugged it because it would not turn off via the power button. I did a factory reset, restarted the set-up process, and after this it worked fine and has worked smoothly since. I have been able to connect it to my other computer and laptop without issue and printed easily from them. My one only other issue is that I cannot find the printer on my iPhone through Airprint, only as remote print. It is a nonissue because the remote prints works fine and I can also print through the HP app, but it annoys me. I have not had this printer issue with my iPhone before. The HP app work great, has many features, but is slow and certain features remain in loading mode, such as setting up Airprint Anywhere, which perhaps is the issue. A Network report I printed stated it “failed” Connectivity but passed everything else, so that may be the issue. I wonder about the possibility that the printer may have gotten some rattling during shipping that may have caused this issue. As for the prints, they are vibrant and crisp. I scanned and copied artwork made by my child and it came out very similar to the original. Letters are crisp, clean, and precise. There isn’t any notable bleeding. It takes 3 seconds for the printer to receive and begin printing and 9 seconds to complete the print of a double-sided text page. I have printed text pages, colorful guides, shipping labels, and my kid’s artwork and the quality of the printouts have not disappointed. The scans from the feeder and flatbed are comparable in quality, albeit whites are brighter and whiter through the feeder. The scan time depends on the resolution that is chosen. 200dpi took 15 secs, 600dpi took 50secs. The touchpad screen is responsive, has great resolution, and makes pleasant sounds. The sound volume and screen brightness are highly customizable. The quality of the printer is thin and light plastic that feels sturdy enough to last normal wear and tear. The low-profile nature of the printer allows it to fit into small spaces and the cord is 5ft long. It has a really nice design that makes it look sleek and less obtrusive than most printers Overall, I really like the printer’s quality. Yes, there were a lot of hiccups with the setup but now that it’s complete, I don’t really see any other outstanding issues arising from it. The Airprint issue is a minor inconvenience I can live with. I feel that the main thing that matters is that it prints, scans, and it connects to my computers well. I would not deter anyone from this printer, rather just warn that issues may arise during set-up, but they too shall pass. Once it’s ready to go it is a great asset to have.Read More

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had pretty good luck with this printer so far. I've been using it for normal home stuff like printing documents, return labels, random forms, and occasionally pictures, and it's been way less frustrating than some printers I've dealt with in the past.\n\nSetup was easier than I expected. I had it on Wi Fi and printing from my phone pretty quickly, and the app works well without feeling clunky. The touchscreen is simple enough that I didn't need to dig through instructions to figure things out.\n\nThe print quality has looked really nice too. Black and white pages come out clean, color prints look sharp. I've used the document feeder a few times already for scanning paperwork and that's been a huge help compared to feeding pages one at a time.\n\nOne thing I weirdly appreciate is the way the printer folds up when you're not using it. When the document feeder is open it actually looks nice and functional, but once everything folds back down it doesn't scream “office printer” sitting in the room. The front paper support extends in two stages too, which is a small detail but actually useful. The first extension works great for normal letter paper, and when you push everything back in it looks compact and tidy instead of taking over the whole desk.

The QR code is displayed to finish install. installing on a PC does not allow reading QR code like a iPhone. The SW from HP or Microsoft on PC should complete install with NO QR code link. I got it to work so I ignore the QR code display that comes up all the time. Also uses #68 ink cartridge...there are thousands of ink cart from HP why a NEW one for each new printer. Also new cart requires running alignment print out. There should be a cart centering sensor that aligns internal without alignment page being printed and scanned.

This works just fine, but my older hp had an arm that would automatically come out to catch the printed pages. This printer does not, so I end up finding the printed papers all over the floor. Could I stop everything to run upstairs to pull the manual arm out before I print? Sure, but why should I? Also, there were no other options in this price range except for a white clunky looking machine. My cheaper hp with the automatic arm was black and sleek looking. Unfortunately the hard drive died or I wouldn't have replaced it.

I bought an Envy 6500e and I notice in my HP account that you have it listed as aa Envy 6531e. I have some cartridges being delivered for a 6543e and I'm hoping these cartridges also fit the 6500e printer.\nMy printer seems to only print 8 single page copies or 4 double side copies and won't print any further if I'm printing more than 8 copies so I need to take more time by printing in sections which is a hassle.
