I have limited space but had to drive some high quality Bowers and Wilkins speakers. The best solution for my needs. The speakers love some power and the Heos amp delivers plenty. My one and only quibble is I wish sometimes there was a simple, dedicated IR or IP remote that would offer simple volume up/down mute and standby functionality. Sometimes bringing the app on my iOS device Into focus takes longer than I would like when I need to turn the volume down NOW because the phone is ringing. Especially when the phone is same one I'm using to control the amp. Small quibble with an excellent product.

Overall, the amp works well. When it works, the sound quality is superb.\r\n\r\nThe HEOS app; however, could use much improvement. It stalls frequently when initially playing tracks from a device (iOS in my situation). It cycles through the playlist multiple times- seemingly unable to figure out how to play them. Resetting the amp and the app multiple times doesn't always correct the issue.\r\n\r\nI believe a major oversight of the development team is the inability to fast-forward or reverse while in a track. If you are playing a lengthy track and want to listen to a certain portion again, you must replay the entire track.\r\n\r\nThe inclusion of Bluetooth to the latest models is a welcome addition. However, since placement of these units is best suited to out-of-sight equipment racks and control rooms, the limitated range of Bluetooth can be more hampering than beneficial.\r\n\r\nBottom line: excellent sound from a device with a very small footprint. Reasonable price point. App could benefit from some bug fixes and enhancement to move forward and backward within individual tracks.

This little amp packs a punch. I have them running a pair of Mirage m990's in my bedroom. Makes these speakers sing. I need a couple more for the kitchen and bathroom. Maybe one for the backyard too, we'll see. I install a lot of these units where I work, never an issue and they sound great. I also have a link and a home cinemas, love them both. Bought my parents a link and a heos 7, they love both of those as well. They take the 7 with them to Florida for the winter.

I have my entire house connected to HEOS from my bedroom, basement, bar, living room sound bar, outside patio and garage. I am very picky on my speakers so I use Def Tech in-ceiling for the bar. I was using the AV receiver for this area but I switched to the AMP and what ease of use and simplicity. I love this product, so so so easy to set up a monkey could do it. Flawless integration and app is incredible. The sub output is a nice feature as well! HEOS rocks, don't hesitate.

So I had some speaker wires ran outside from my NuTone IM3303 for future speakers but found this Gem instead. Purchased two Polk Audio Atrium 6's; plugged them into this Amp and Wow!!! This little thing rocks. Have it tied to my Marantz AV7703 and can't be happier when we have gatherings here now. Thanks Denon!\r\n\r\nI have a huge request, put this technology into a lightbulb so I can plug them into the recessed lighting throughout my house. Thanks again.

I have been a Netstreams dealer from almost day one before they decommissioned the home program. This was at least a great viable option to replace those zones. This unit can easily power four speakers although I have managed to power up to six speakers as long as you don't just crank it. All in all two thumbs up. Just ensure you have strong WiFi and if possible a hard line to the unit.

Setup is time consuming but very straight forward. I set up and grouped four amps including Alexa in about one hour. It is a set it and forget it system with Alexa as the DJ. The sound quality is only as good as your in wall/ceiling speakers, I installed B&W wired speakers and the sound quality is absolutely amazing. Next is getting and setting up a Denon HEOS AVR with surround 7.2

As an installer of the product I have used so many amps on new installations and retrofit applications. Heos takes complicated ill-performing systems and creates perfect whole home audio distribution. I have never had a customer complain or be unsatisfied. I would recommend professional installation as the amps are highly tuned and sensitive to shorts, also WiFi may need to be addressed.

I was one of the first to use this system years ago and it just keeps getting better. The sound has aways been great but now the app is much better. More services and better integration with the TV bar now that it has a time delay feature. The only thing missing is Apple Music and control from my Mac.

We start with a Bluetooth speaker and Pandora, we soon realized that the speaker couldn't be moved or we would lost the conection, Bad for business. As soon as I heard what Heos Amp could do for our business I was sold, we love it, our members love and comment on the great sound and quality.

I love this unit but I can't get it to group with the new firmware update on my studio 3d mini soundbar. Once you fix this it would be a perfect unit and could truly outperform the competition

This newest HEOS acquisition is simply outstanding! I have bought over 25 HEOS equipped products for myself and family and friends and am thoroughly familiar with the quality of Denon and Marantz audio equipment and this Amp is another reminder of why I buy Denon and Marantz from Best Buy.\n\nI have it hooked up to a pair of Klipsch towers that I bought a couple of years ago at Best Buy and a 10" powered sub. Outstanding performance and it does all that I need in the room I installed it in.\n\nIf you have wanted to experience the ease of use that is HEOS and the quality that is Denon but want to use your own passive speaker? Buy this little beauty and be prepared to be happily satisfied.\n\nIt doesn't take up any real room and neither ads nor detracts from its surroundings. It is unobtrusive but nicely styled and I have a Marantz CD60 hooked to it and that along with HEOS streaming Amazon Music HD, SiriusXM and Pandora along with a ton of Internet Stations (currently 70 presets in my HEOS system) like the Great American Songbook out of the Netherlands, you cannot go wrong.\n\nThe recent update to HEOS has made it all even easier to use and group rooms and speakers as your system grows and it will grow because of the ease and convenience of HEOS.\n\nI am ready to buy another HEOS Home Amp but it appears they are out so I may well buy the Marantz version. Either way I know for fact (I have used HEOS since 2016) every product from Denon/Marantz that is a part of the HEOS line will work together!\n\nHighly recommended. YES! Like I said, I not only own HEOS but have given HEOS speakers to a great many people, including a friend in her 80s and she just loves it. She listens to music from Italy as she speaks fluent Italian!

As a basic amplifier, there are no real issue. But when used as part of the HEOS ecosystem, there is much room for improvement. The lack of Airplay support is a huge disappointment. The HEOS application is clunky and not intuitive to use. These factors severely limit how awesome the AMP could be.

I have several sonos products.  Bought the HEOS amp to go with my new Denon multi zone receiver (this is my 2nd Denon reciever)\r\nThe sonos is still a more stable platform.  HEOS gets confused sometimes and glitches up.  Hoping you will correct the problems with a software upgrade

High quality with excellent components and sound quality. Connection is easy with HEOS, used a hard LAN line and directly wired to the network which I prefer over wireless to provide more reliable connectivity. But you can hook this up wirelessly. The equipment and hardware itself is high-quality and sounds great. However,HEOS music ecosystem app itself is a love-hate relationship because I think they could do a lot to make the interface better but it is an improvement over the past years. If you have a two channel stereo system set up and you’re not using it for multi room distribution then you’re fine just using most of the music apps out there that you can connect to the amp itself directly. But if use it as part of a multi room distribution network in your home, then you have to use the HEOS app to group with other rooms or HEOS speakers/ equipment. Honestly, it does work well and the HEOS app Integrates the best with Amazon music but it will work well with Spotify too for grouping.

My old receiver was a Denon AVR-3300. When the DAC finally gave out after daily use for 14 years I had to buy a replacement of equal or better quality. I finally decided to buy an NAD T 758 which had a very solid reputation in the high end audio industry. To my surprise I found out that the sound quality was inferior compared to my old receiver. So I finally decided to return that receiver and find another. When I found out that this AVR-X3300W got a significant price drop I couldn't let it pass. I'm so glad I got it. I'm really happy with all the added features and decent sound quality. My old Denon receiver still had better sound quality but at least it wasn't as bad as the NAD. For me to get the equivalent sound quality of my old receiver the next model up would cost over $2000. So I'm very happy with this one. A very minute trade off in sound quality (unnoticeable to most people), but in exchange you get all the cool new features.

Once it was on my network I could switch to wifi. This happened with all 3 of my amps . Occasionally the HEOS app does not see a couple of the amps on the network. You need a very fast, stable wifi router for your house to use these.The amp sounds good and mostly works as expected. Why not include a simple resume / stop button on the actual Heos device? I hate having to bring up a phone / laptop or similar to just simply stop the music. Also the volume up/down are so hidden, they could have been a nice and user friendly knob instead. But my main issue with this device is all the bugs that Denon just never seems to care to fix. From the ear shattering volume jumping up and down sporadically when using Spotify, to many tunes from Spotify always loosing the fist few seconds of the song. I mean come on Denon is this really hifi? I was told this was a high quality product, but I'm so disappointed. Will never get another Heos device.

Looking to replace an 18 year old AudioSource amplifier with either a Denon or Marantz. Chose the Denon Home Amp because I have a Denon AVR. Wanted an amplifier with HEOS capability and also the ability to turn on and off through the HEOS app. The Denon Home Amp retails at $799. Best Buy had it on sale for $739 and I had a $10 rewards certificate. Seemed like I was getting a bargain. I opted to install and setup the Amp myself, rather than have the Geek Squad do it. The installation and setup took less then 30 minutes and the Amp is working just like I wanted it to. So far, everything is working great and I'm happy with my purchase. Great service from Best Buy when I went in to explain what I wanted.

I had bought one of these new about 16 years ago for 750 dollars and it finally died about a week ago, after all those years of sounding amazing. So when I saw I could buy a used one for 60 dollars plus 43 dollars shipping it was a no brainer for me to get another one. It doesn't have HDMI but I don't care because I use a Harmony One remote and so I don't switch video through the receiver. I only use it for sound and it has plenty of digital audio inputs. The used receiver I got sounds as great as the original one and I expect to get at least a few years of use out of it before it shows any signs of issues.

This is an awesome receiver. The sound quality makes the cheaper units sound like transistor radios. Although it lacks the newer features like HDMI inputs, its Japanese components make this a great addition for mixing newer components with it for great sound quality. I am looking to purchase another one for my bedroom in the near future. It helps if you can purchase one with a remote control that works; these run around $100 used.
