I've had Roku devices for many years. I've currently got 4 running right now and stream exclusively using these devices. While most of the time, they work great, there are some frustrating moments. I'll focus on the problems with these devices and leave other reviews to sing the praise.\r\n\r\nProblem 1 - remote just goes nuts at times. At least several times a week, the remote refuses to work. None of the buttons respond. Pulling the batteries and plugging back in seems to always correct the problem. No idea what its doing or why it forgets the remote. I could use the remote, sit it down, pick it back up 5 minutes later and the remote not work. Something poor on design there.\r\n\r\nProblem 2 - remote refuses to operate the TV periodically. Every so often, the remote claims it doesn't work with TVs. I guess that volume switch on the side is supposed to be for looks at that moment in time. Even though the volume button may have worked 30 minutes ago, TV support is apparently not supported until I reboot the device. This is a bigger pain than when it refuses to see the remote (#1 above). Luckily this only seems to happen once every couple of weeks.\r\n\r\nProblem 3 - For whatever brain dead reason at Roku, they decided the auto power off feature that is available on my 4 year old Roku 4 can't be supported on the newest Ultra 2019 model. According to their support page, they have some excuse about a fan. What does that have to do with anything? Obviously in this day and age of streaming, internet usage and caps, you don't want to forget and leave your streaming device on. This is the biggest and most stupid decision I can imagine on Roku's technical front. Hey, lets make a streaming device, give older models a way to turn off automatically and then drop it.\r\n\r\nOverall, I happier than I'm dissatisfied with the devices. Maybe mainly because I don't really have many, if any, alternatives. The apps built into TVs are just sad at best on most models. I'll keep using these until someone knocks them off the shelf. Maybe they'll focus on their hardware more than trying to be a streaming provider one day in the future and get back to innovating.

This is the 4th Roku we have purchased. We now have them on all of our tvs. This one is a smaller footprint but still delivers smooth and fast streaming as is the best thing about Roku. It was easy to set up and have had no issues with it at all so far. The voice feature is nice so as not to have to use the letters which takes forever. Also nice to have the earbud jack right on the side of the remote. Brilliant feature by Roku. My husband often wants to watch things that I don't, so he can listen to them without disturbing what I am doing in the same room. This one is an upgrade to the Roku 4 which we had for many years, which still works fine, (we use it on a smaller tv), but we wanted the updated features. All of the older ones we have still work fine on our other tvs. I can't say enough about how much we like our Rokus and the picture quality of course is outstanding over cable or regular tv antenna. We would never use any other streaming player.

I dont know that I would recommend this for everyone, but it was perfect for my needs. I seriously doubt the price markdown is real, and think that is more of a gimmic. i would not have paid that price. it might have even been high at the price I paid. I had hip surgery and needed something light that I could use on the non-carpeted portions of my house, which are the high-traffic living areas. It is so light and easy to use, gets under things like no other vacuum I've ever had. I don't think a charge would last as long as it says, but it lasts long enough for what I need. I can't belive how easy it makes my life, especially after surgery. i decided to try it in the carpeted bedrooms and was surprised at how good it actually did work. Nothing like my big main vacuum, but I didn't expect it too. i just can't use my big one right now, and this is such a perfect supplement. Plus, it is purple!! My favorite color. i am so glad I got this!

Actually bought the streaming stick for a friend. She has an old flat TV and couldn't afford to upgrade, so I asked if it had HDMI slots and it did. I got this on sale during the holiday sales, which made it a great deal. \nThe Roku stick streaming speeds are great. Sounds good and the remote find is easy with the stick.\nI had it shipped to her and when she got it, she was surprised and thanked me for it.\nShe said it's so much faster than her old flat tv and helps the picture look even better. \nI only buy Roku brand TV's and sticks/streamers as the Fire brand is slow. I tried one of the amazon sticks and a TV I got for a great price, but couldn't stand either one of them.\nRoku for the win!

this is my 2nd roku ultra. it's easy to set up. i like how you can use the ethernet adapter to upload my cpu or windows11 on my other cpu. i like the rechargeable battery (uses micro usb to charge) in the remote control provided. no MORE hunting for AA or AAA batteries. i have this in my 2nd bedroom tv. the signal it picks up from the living room xfinity router is good. i especially like the head phone 1/8" plug for quite listening. a small ear bud is provided, but i use my own apple ear bud that you plug in. they both sound great. it's worth the cost. obviously it uses roku app which gives you alot of options. thankyou again WM! happy customer.

So I originally had an older ROKU, it worked ok but got very hot and once and a while I had to remove the power to it to reset it. This little baby is much cooler, is very responsive and not once I've had to reboot it. It's got plenty of memory for your App's and I love the rechargeable remote. I charged it when I got it and it's been a couple of months and I have yet to charge it. So so far it seems to me that the rechargeable batteries are doing a fine job. I love the ROKU system and now they have live channels being streamed. I won't ever go back to cable TV however I'm stuck with their internet which continues to increase.

I did a lot of research on Roku as a hub for apps and it's very highly rated. I chose this (and bought a second set) because it was a good value, and I love that the remotes for the Roku boxes have headphone plugs. I love watching programs with headphones for privacy. Hopefully they will work for a long, long time. The Roku stick I used when I stayed at a Cat clients home (I am a pet sitter, and sometimes work in other people's homes) and it was really great to use! I have one extra, but I will use it when we set up our small kitchen TV. I highly recommend getting any of the Roku products!

ROKU has provided my family with ease of use, overwhelming access and great user interface. It is reliable and fast and to me the best way to view content on a TV. The best aspect of the device in my mind is that I can plug an external hard drive into it via USB, and I have at my fingertips 3 terabytes of all my favorite videos, photos and music... easily accessed, immediately, anytime. I've been using ROKU since I cut the cord almost 20 years now. I've watched it improve and improve over time. Customer support has always been quick and fantastic. Can imagine using anything else.

I bought this mainly to access the Spectrum app, and it couldn't have been easier to set up—just plug it in and you're good to go. It quickly recognized my TV and automatically configured the remote, which was a nice surprise. Most popular apps come preloaded, which is convenient.\n\nThe only small downside is that even when you power it off, it still seems to run in the background and eventually switches to the screensaver. That said, I love the Roku City screensaver and spotting all the hidden Easter eggs.\n\nOverall, I'm very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

So easy to set up and has all the apps you need. Pick what you use, forget about the rest. This is my 2nd stick because the dog literally ate the other Roku remote and since I wasn't able to purchase just a regular Roku remote unless I have a Roku tv, I had to repurchase the stick as well. \nIt kept all my saved apps and programming that I had before. The remote does not work until after you set up the stick and the screen acknowledges the new remote. Just saying because I thought there was something wrong with the new remote.

For the price it is excellent but i reduced one star because the setup was a bit tedious. The ultra needed to update and wouldn't let me setup wifi connection, so I had to connect by Ethernet, which was a task since router was across the room from the tv. The stick was easier but somehow I didnt get the remote to connect well with the tv. Once setup though, everything works smoothly and wonderful and such a cost saver from satellite.

Only complaint is FF, you have to watch the time which is small, need to have a 30 sec FF button, or let the picture move as you FF. Also the Dolby Atmos is great, but there should be a setting to choose the output, ie PCM, to the AVR. I have had no problems with any of the apps, we have it wired to the router and there is no delay in sound, streaming is smooth and picture is as good or better than the cable from Comcast

I was already using the 4K Stick I had bought 3 years ago. I asked a friend for the new backlighted remote for Xmas, and he ended up getting me the Ultra! It was pretty easy to switch over, and now I have 2 remotes to use with it. The only difference I have noticed is that the audio levels are a few dB lower on the Ultra, so I have to set the receiver volume higher than before. It also seems to run a bit faster, and some apps even don't need to reload if you return to the Home screen and re-launch the app.

Excellent combo pack for the price. 2 systems for the price of one is the way to go. Friendly user interface and responsive remote. Love the remote is Bluetooth and includes the port for headphones. The remote find feature has already come in handy as well. Easy setup and great picture and sound for my receiver. No issues getting dolby vision video feed and dolby atmos audio. Highly recommend for anyone needing an upgrade to make their normal hdtv a smart tv or for someone wanting to come to the Roku side.

Bought a Roku Ultra to update an older tv. It has been great with better 4K support, has a more robust processor that allows for much quicker flow between apps, it will even basically keep apps open as if in a tab and you can quickly resume your place from app to app on many apps without it having to close and reopen like older Roku devices ( works similar to multiple apps open on a phone ). Other neat features are rechargeable remote, remote finder, Bluetooth support for audio headphones. Good stuff !

Easy to install and get going. Seamless experience connecting to Wi-Fi and reviewing options. Remote is super easy and becomes your default controller. Just wish they had an option to go back to where you left off, after shutting the system down. Upon powering on again, you have to go through the Roku menu to get back to your app and then go through that app, just to view the different channels or programs. I looked around from the menu, but don't think there are any options.

My mom's “old” smart tv (5 years?) wasn't supported by the apps anymore so I got this for her. Easy for me to set up and easy for her to use. I had considered buying her a new tv but hers works fine and support for apps on the new ones is only guaranteed for two years. I'm not replacing tvs every two to four years. Quite the little scam the tv manufacturers have worked out with Netflix and YouTube etc. This little gadget saved me hundreds of dollars.

love the Roku ultra. connects great and setup was awesome. the new features in the ultra where surprising good. plug it into a HDMI and it will turn your tv on via the Roku remote or switch to your other inputs and it is ready when ever you need it. the channels are great and free. I got it for my dad who was paying 200 a month for direct tv. now he has more channels than he though possible and no monthly charge win win

The installation was very easy. Including connecting our universal remote. Once it was connected to the wifi I logged into our existing account and it had our apps on the home screen.\nIt slowed down a little when I changed the resolution to Dolby Vision but thats probably more to do with our internet. It gave me no trouble figuring out the settings. Much easier than getting the streambar to cooperate on my other TV.

So easy to use and install. I love that there is an app that you can use as well. When my kids are asleep and I can't find their remote, I just get on the app and use the controller that way to turn it down. So easy to install. Just plug it in and follow the directions. I also love how you can personalize their screensaver. I will be purchasing this for all of my televisions in my house.

I like the Roku devices and I like the Roku ultra the only thing about the new Roku ultra is that the volume is very low I would recommend if you have a 4k tv purchase the Roku streaming stick 4k it's great the volume is great and it hides behind the tv. And I love rechargeable backlight voice remote that came with the Roku ultra so I'm using the remote for my Roku steaming stick 4k.

At first I liked, then ROKU started updating and changing thing. I t is a pain to try to keep up with all the changed thing when the TV is playing and being covered by a box that wont go away no matter how try. SOLUTION: I found that unplugging the TV and the ROKU for 5 minutes worked.

Love the amount of app options Roku has, and the free live tv has many options to choose from as well. I also love the ability to personalize the wallpaper and screensaver display. Very happy that I purchased it. The remote is awesome as well, with the light up display when you pick it up, the “find my remote” feature, as well as being rechargeable and traditional battery free.

I prefer the roku to fire stick because once you set up one rocks ALL the roku will be connected! Meaning ALL your app, games, and etc will auto install on every roku on that account! It's easy and it connects to Apple devices to stream or Apple cast and also to Alexa. I got 3 and they each came with free subscriptions to Apple TV for 3 months and other special offers.

it's a quick solve if you don't have a Roku TV. or able to get certain apps on your tv. however it's a tight fit to put in the back of you tv. also has to be plugged in. so make sure you have a wall box for the cord. if your tv doesnt come with a port for the cord to plug into.

I always thought my internet was just not great but it was just a matter of purchasing an up to date Roku player that can keep up with the current speeds of the technology. I still needed to have wifi which was a little disappointing but I needed that for our phones too so other than that it was pretty easy to set it up and start watching the screen again. Love the remote's recharging feature and as for setting up the voice command I haven't set that up yet. We haven't misplaced the remote yet so still need to set up the locator too.

I'm really happy that my new Roku Ultra supports Dolby Vision and Atmos. Now I can get the best sound and picture no matter what I'm watching without having to swap to my TV apps that supported it. The Roku Ultra is fast and responsive and the included remote is the simplest remote I have ever used with tons of features I love like remote finder and a headphone jack.

Had AppleTV 4K for several years. A friend suggested Roku Ultra. So I bought one. In summary, it is infinitely better than the Apple TV. The remote is superior. Installation was easier. The provided content (apps) is superior. The menu structure is superior. Could not be more pleased with it. Bought a second one for a second TV.
