[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my old (2012ish) Kitchen Aid Artisan Series 5 Quart Tilt Head Stand Mixer in shiny black. That mixer tipped over and either needs a new motor or circuit board, but no clue how to get that fixed. Otherwise I was told my repair fair people it was in perfect shape. Bummer. New mixer arrived in good condition with no scratches or damage. So far I have only used the new mixer a handful of times to make single batches of cookie dough during the month of December 2025. When I turn on the mixer, it definitely does not sound smooth like my old mixer. The motor makes a deeper sound and I feel like the gears inside are going to start grinding at any moment. My shoulders physically raise in reaction to the sound it makes when I turn it one. Using it is not relaxing and baking is something that I usually find joy in. I have never made bread dough with my mixer (old or new) so cannot attest to how it handles. Works as expected for cookie dough, brownie mixes, and muffins. I was very pleased that my old mixing bowl and attachment heads from my old mixer work just the same with this new mixer. Now I don't have to wash in between every batch. I'm not sure I'd recommend this product overall since it doesn't seem to handle as smoothly as my old mixer. However, I haven't used any other brands to know if there are better ones out there. If Kitchen Aid has any information on how to get my old mixer fixed I would appreciate them reaching out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only used my new KitchenAid stand mixer once because honestly, I was a little intimidated, but also I was so excited! I perused the literature from the mixer and the attachments first, then I followed the directions for setting everything up. I was pretty comfortable with the setting-up of things and I know it'll become more routine and I won't have to always look at the step-by-step instructions. The capacity size of the bowl was perfect for the scones I was making. I used one of the attachments to shred frozen butter for the scones too! All I want to do is mix things up now! Clean-up was a breeze as well. I'm so happy with this mixer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely phenomenal machine with the power to get things done. The Wild Blueberry color is such a dream. This mixer feels more sturdy and durable than other Kitchenaid mixers I've used. It's easy to clean thanks to the included bowl lid with built in pour funnel. The bowl lid's rubber gaskets that hold it onto the bowl are also in Wild Blueberry! There was so much attention to detail when this stand mixer was being designed. It's the best mixer they've produced in recent years. The attachments are all very heavy duty and feel way more durable than previously purchased attachments. I'm ecstatic to have this beauty in my arsenal.

I have been wanting a stand mixer for a long time and finally broke down and bought one. Love the color, my husband even loves the color. Out the box and in use within 2 hours of delivery. Choose this one because it came with the extra attachment for the same price as the ones without. Read the cleaning instructions as I was worried about the finishing on the blades as I had read some reviews of other models talking about the finish starting to flake or chip away very early on in usage. Instructions clearly state HAND WASH ONLY. Dishwashers can be harsh on blade finish, so I will take note of this and be sure to only wash the blades by hand after use.

My previous mixer, the Kitchen Aid Classic, was just not quite strong enough for the amount of bread I am making, its over 20 years old and still works like new but I didn't want to damage it so I decided to upgrade to the Artisan mixer.....WOW! What a difference! This mixer is PERFECT for my 2-3 loaves a week! it effortlessly premixes and kneads my large loaves! The motor is very quiet, no groaning from the strain. You can definitely tell the difference between the two models! Plus, Have I mentioned I am in LOVE with the color red?

Every kitchen needs this appliance! Also loooooove the color options on these mixers, I got the buttery yellow one and it is so gorgeous in my home. My only issue has been with the standard attachments that come with it— I do not like that they are powder coated— the paint chips and flakes off over time and to me that’s not good because I don’t want paint chips in my food. Kitchenaid does however sell reasonably priced stainless steel attachments so it’s not a big deal.

The mixer was a wedding gift for my grand daughter. It was just what she wanted and my wife has one like it that has worked well for 30 years. I believe it will work well for the grand daughter. I got a warranty on the machine at purchase because you can never tell these days. I was dis appointed in the warranty since it had no way for us to note this was a gift .... so some one, other than the purchaser, would be registering the product after it was given to her. I printed out the warranty email and gave it to her with the gift. Will that be sufficient if something breaks in the future? I don't know. It is what we did.

Have used the larger bowl-lift model and competitors' commercial-sized models; the Artisan 5 is just sized-down to better accommodate my home kitchen. More than happy with the capacity — even doubling many larger dough or batter recipes is possible if you know what you're doing. Definitely appreciate the speed and power of the motor when mixing stiff/cold doughs, butter, etc. A workhorse!

This KitchenAid Mixer is phenomenal. We got this mixer as a gift off of our wedding registry, and even though we considered cheaper options to cater to our guests' budgets, it was a no brainer to place the KitchenAid Mixer instead. My mom has had hers for many years and I do not remember her not having it. This mixer has been reliable, has worked great from its first use and has not degraded in functionality since it was first turned on. 100000/10 recommend! P.S. You will get stronger by moving it around ;)

It took a bit of muscle memory to raise the head, while I scraped the bowl and returned it to mixing position. I had to remember to lock it in place! It did a great job kneading and my rolls were superb! I am not a sweet baker, so will not be doing much in the way of cakes and cookies. I am very interested in eventually getting the meat grinder attachment.

This Kitchenaid mixer is well built and appears to be a quality countertop appliance. I have already used it several times within the first week. It has operated flawlessly using all the included accessories to make a cake and bread dough. The power and speed of the motor is adequate for the 5 quart mixing bowl. So far, I would highly recommend this product. I’m surprised this model is being discontinued or replaced since no improvements are needed at this price point.

I could have had the Mini repaired (and probably still will), but I felt the time had come to finally move to a full-size. The extra size and power are great - I have zero complaints! I am not a fan of the lift-bowl mixers (too big and bulky and kind of ugly if you ask me), so this is perfect for me.

This is my 4th Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer- I bake often so wear them out. It is a bit different than my last one which was more than 10 years old. I like the coated paddle. I like the metal bowl. I like the red (they are always red in my kitchen). My only negative is it does not feel as "smooth" as the one I was replacing -maybe that is just because it is new and it may change. I don't recall this from any previous one but this is an infrequent thing so cannot say for sure. But I do consistently go back to Kitchen Aid. I looked at other options this time and still chose Kitchen Aid.

it's such a beautiful color! This mixer makes everything so much easier to make, I'm getting so spoiled with this machine! I used to have a hand mixer which was just horrible! It finally broke down so I decided to invest in a great mixer that I won't have to replace in a few years. I have only made a few batches of stuff since owning this, but I know making anything with this is going to be a breeze! I wish I had gotten one sooner!

I love the mixer. The first one I ordered wouldn’t turn off. So I had to return it. The second one I picked up didn’t have the spring and washer on the shaft. I just ordered the parts myself and installed. Apparently they stopped putting the spring on the shaft back in 2016. A lot of casting flash around the ejection pins still stuck on the underneath surface. Someone could cut there fingers. I just sanded it down myself. For what you pay these should be 100% ready to run flawlessly. Quailty should be second to none. But they cheap out. Overall heavy duty mixer.

I have owned a KitchenAid mixer set for probably 20 or 30 years and it was just time to upgrade. I have bigger one and I just love all the features. I have a noodle maker. I have a grinder and several more They last a long time and I have no complaints about them at all. The new bigger one is a good upgrade I really they're so reliable they last for a long time and I have no complaints about them at all.

I recently bought this Artisan mixer & have really loved it so far. The only complaint I have is with the ceramic dough hook that was part of package. I use the dough hook once per week for the past four weeks since buying. After four uses I noticed the ceramic coating was chipped even though I have been very gentle. This complaint has been showing up for quite some time with other buyers so I feel that KitchenAid would have resolved by now.\nVery disappointed in KitchenAid for not fixing this long standing problem.

So great to have the stir speed to initially start the mix. I also appreciate having the handle on the bowl. Two really fantastic features. Love it like always except for the buttons to move the position and speed setting. They are difficult to grab and almost sharp. I feel certain that they will be better as they wear in. I liked the old design better when they were fully round. As I get older it certainly feels heavier than I remembered which is good quality wise.

What better way to celebrate one year with my mixer than use it for Thanksgiving treats! During the past year the "little guy" has worked tirelessly kneading bread dough, mixing countless cookies, working up fresh pasta and beating egg whites into meringue.
