Amazing value quality yes you can get a cheaper Apple Car Play unit today but you will most likely be giving up QUALITY Durability and DIY ease of installation and PIONEER name..

It's excellent, and it's easy to install.

It was almost a perfect car stereo except the fact that it lacked a knob to turn the volume or as the streets put it "Crank it up"the features that comes with makes any car that is 2002 feel modern with GPS and Bluetooth the only gripe would it be is that you need to wire it in order to enable the GPS because it works with Android auto from your phone. The sound was amazing it basically pushed my stock speakers over the limit that is why if you have an issue that it sounds terrible it's because you're stock speakers aren't capable would highly recommend to check your stock specifications before putting any head unit. The most impressive part about the head unit is the time it takes to load it is only a matter of seconds to connect especially if you connect it to the wire

Great screen - very responsive. Sounds good. Install was pretty easy (BestBuy install was backed up for weeks, so I did it myself). My only real complaint is the capacitive touch 'buttons' for volume, power, etc. They are horrible. You can't see them in daylight. You can find them by feel. You can't quickly change the volume or mute. I'd gladly give up screen real-estate for a knob. Maybe it's ok if you have steering wheel controls, but the vehicle this is in is older and doesn't. Doesn't seem like too many options out there with real controls unless you spend a fortune or go with some off-brand, though. Read More

I brought 1 of these units back in October 2021. I liked it so much I brought 2 more to install in my other vehicles. 2 of the units stopped working after about 5 months. They freeze up on a white screen and then have to be sent in for repair to Pioneer. 1 of the units has been back twice already. $30 shipping to California and without a radio for 3 weeks. There is clearly a problem with this model. If you do a little research online you'll find others with the exact same problem. I would like Pioneer to offer me a full refund on all 3 units. They have refused.

Although states refurbished, the quality of the unit I received was in close to if not brand new condition. All wiring and accessories were included and I had it installed in about 1 hr. You must plug in to usb cord AND buy additional connector . Instead I spent another 50$ and bought a dongle instead . Now I read the reviews and everyone says it shorts out close to a year of use . The unit itself that is …. It's a slow unit . I expected more from it I guess. Wish I could put a protection plan on it . So when it does fail it's at least covered

Way better sound quality than the ATOTO S8 I replaced. While this is just a straight, no-frills unit, it blows away the ATOTO in sound quality. I upgraded my stock stereo to the Pioneer DMH 1770NEX. Love the touch screen, having android auto, the map on the screen, having a 13 channel EQ mixed with my Infinity reference and Kappa speakers sound awesome!! This is making my driving life so much better. \n\nThe only suggestion I have is detailed installation instructions for the backup camera that came with it. Luckily I have a friend who could help me with being partially colorblind.

Head unit is great, although I will mention if you want to use CarPlay make sure the wire you are using to connect your phone is made for both charging and media transfer. Otherwise you’re gonna be scrambling your brain like I was. Aside from that it’s a great stereo once I got it to work. Does the voice to text and you can organize the apps once it’s setup.

Radio itself is a definite 90% the other 10% is the times I’ve switched to CarPlay for gps and radio option aren’t available.
