The Meile C1 is by far the best vacuum I've owned! I would consider myself an expert when it comes to vacuum cleaners considering Ive owned multiple brands ranging in price and type from a standard upright to stick vacuum to canister; corded and cordless, bagged and bagless. I definitely prefer bagged vacuums because the canister vacs are really gross! (unless you don't mind taking your vacuum outside every time you need to empty the dust bin, otherwise you are just throwing everything you just vacuumed back into the air! Also canister vacuums essentially cost time and/or money to maintain because of the filters that need to be cleaned/replaced monthly. With a bagged vacuum, like the Meile C1, everything goes into one sealed bag and when its full you take it out and replace it with a new one. There's no chance of dust particles being released back into your home! And let me just say that the suction on this vacuum blows the competition out of the water!! It was worth every penny!! It's light weight, and even though it's a canister you can drag it around the house like it's nothing, it only weighs 8 lbs total! Buy this vacuum, you won't be disappointed!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I'm super happy with this vacuum! We mainly have hardwood floors with a few area rugs. The vacuum does phenomenal on the hardwood. Most of the area rugs it does well on, sometimes I just need to lower the suction power. We have one super lightweight area rug in the hallway that it sucks up no matter the power adjustment. It does great on the large area rug in the living room and kitchen that are a little thicker/heavier. The cord is a decent length and allows me to vacuum most rooms with ease…I almost wish I would have gotten the model up which has a little bit of a longer cord.\n\nOverall, I love it! It's a little bit of an adjustment going from an upright to canister, but I adapted quickly. I like that you can carry it while you vacuum. The suction power is 10/10. I have no issues with clogs. It gets my house very clean, which is the whole purpose :). I love the dusty and upholstery attachments, as well!

If you have hard surface floors, this vacuum is awesome! Suction is great and adjustable. We like how well it gets the dust off our hardwood and vinyl floors. It rolls smoothly and is lightweight. The retractable cord is a very nice feature and operates easily. We purchased this style vacuum because I've been unable to use our upright due to problems with my knees. The push and pull of running even our lightweight model was too much stress on my knees. This Miele Classic makes it possible for me to vacuum again (my husband is delighted!). We have some low-pile area rugs too and this vacuum does well on those too. It came with a few different attachments too which allows for getting into corners and along edges, as well as vacuuming couches, chairs, and lampshades. We highly recommend this vacuum.

1967 us army barracks, Germany. We had seven old canister Melie vacuum cleaners which were used in 30 two person rooms. They got us through many room inspections. A Meile vacuum repair person would come at least 3 times a year to service the machines. At the time, I thought what a novel idea to have after sale service. Now at 80 years old, I have a new vacuum. I don't think I will see a service person come out to my home, but I believe the quality of those old machines will have transferred to this new one. So Meile, Thank you. Excellent product. I only buy Miele canister vaccuum cleaners because they are powerful without being noisy, they have several settings to choose from (power, type of floor, length of cane, end accessories), they have excellent filters, and most importantly they are reliable for many years (BTW if you ever need to replace a used brush, they usually have it among their replacement parts. ) I chose this smaller, lighter model for my upper floors as I already own a larger C3 one for the main floor. For this model as well I bought the compatible sgc20 comfort handle, it adds a very useful led light and makes the handling a super breeze.

Wow! Did not realize how poor of a job my previous vacuums were doing until I used this. Purchased the hardwood floor attachment to protect my newly refinished floors and I am not disappointed. I live in the country and have three dogs tracking in dirt and mud. They are GSDs so they constantly shed and this vacuum tackles it with ease. \nI had resigned myself to having to vacuum, then sweep all the fine dust the vacuum missed, then dry mop, then wet mop.\nThis vacuum consolidates the first three steps into one in a fraction of the time and makes the fourth necessary only occasionally.

I absolutely love my Miele. I want a heavy-duty vacuum cleaner that does the job the first time and was really getting disappointed with the cheap vacuum cleaners on the market. I purchased my first Miele more than 20 years ago, and it was a workhorse, but the replacement parts are no longer being made. While this isn't the top-line model, it is powerful and does the job I need it to do. I waited 3 weeks for delivery, which was within the time promised when I ordered it. It was worth it to wait, as the price through Houzz was the lowest available.

I’m extremely satisfied with this vacuum cleaner! It has strong suction power and picks up dust, pet hair, and small debris very effectively. It works great on both carpets and hard floors.\nThe vacuum is lightweight and easy to maneuver, which makes cleaning much faster and less tiring. Love my Miele!!! Like the name honey, its sweet!!! Sometimes it falls over when I tug it, or gets tangled in its cord--and its cord could be longer, and it has a tough time with the thick shag carpet in the bedroom, but, this vacuum has agility and willingly moves forward, quietly sucking up the stuff. The wand is long and easy to use. Vacuuming furniture is a joy, its a pretty machine. Ive never sent so much on a vacuum, but Ive wanted a Miele canister for ages. In 1978, my husband brought home a Compact vacuum, which I thought was quite expensive at the time. He was a serious appreciator of quality machines of all types and just bought it! I finally broke down and invested in a better vacuum. This thing is amazing! Mostly hard flooring and its highest setting picks up everything- doesn’t blow it around. Lower settings handle even my flat washable rugs and don’t suck them up. The real test? I accidentally sucked up a metal door stopper that had broken and I immediately stopped the machine and took it apart to find the piece. Found it…in the bag. It successfully sucked up a metal doorstop with no hesitation. Impressive.

I switched to a bagged vacuum after years of using a Dyson because I was tired of the dumping of dirt from the canister which always turned into an asthma attack because getting the dirt out of a Dyson isn’t easy. This mila vacuum works great it’s heavy duty has amazing suction and once you get the hang of it the form and function are far superior to a traditional upright. I am very happy so far with the performance and power of this vacuum. Using it is a pleasure. As many reviewers in various places have stated, the power cord could stand to be longer. Additionally the parquet brush head does not swivel so keeping it flat on the ground when extending under furniture can be a hassle. I guess we can upgrade that head if we want for an additional fee at some point. otherwise fantastic vacuum.

I was hesitant about purchasing an expensive vacuum cleaner, but now I am so happy that I did. I kind of enjoy vacuuming now and my house smells so much cleaner! I went from a bagless upright to a Miele bagged canister. Easier to maneuver, lighter, quieter and cleans so much better. I can even clean under the beds with the power head. I tend to go through vacuums. I have been a Dyson fan for quite a few years but absolutely hated their canister vac. I have heard good things about Miele and liked the idea of the compact size. I am so glad I ordered this. It is easy to maneuver, carry up and down the stairs, fits easily into the closet and is very quiet for a vacuum. I am really pleased and should have bought this instead of the Dyson.

This is the best vacuum I’ve ever had slight weight it gets under everything it smells great I had that issues and I can use this vacuum easily. It gets in between items. The bags are easy to find and it still continues to work after all this time that I’ve had it. I don’t like to give Rubys too early after buying something because I wanna make sure it holds up or it works before I get a review.

Off to a good start with Miele, plastic but very sturdy while light and compact. Simple design and connection points suggest less breakage risk. Good suction for pickup and great cord recoil. Not as heavy as beater brush for carpeting - can hang up or bounce a little on heavy wool, etc. while I get used to the suction setting symbols.

We've only had it 2 days so it's a very general review. So far so good. It's the first canister vac I have had so I wasn't sure what to think but I researched based on having hard wood floors, budget and longevity and this model was recommended. excellent machine. takes some time to get use to movement over an upright. Only frustration is that it stores ONLY on its feet with a slot to clip the broom/brush arm into the back of it. It cannot be stored like in picture unless you are physically able to brace the broom/brush arm securely. Other than that, love it!

Miele vacuums are excellent, durable and ergonomic. This is the second one I’ve purchased (the first I gave away— still working great after 12 years) and the fourth style/series I’ve used. They tend to overperform meaning that even those not made specifically for pet hair still do a pretty good job.

We bought this vacuum to keep up with the hair from 4 cats and a dog. So far it has been a great experience. We don’t have a huge amount of carpet but where we do the brush works really well. Would definitely recommend this model to anyone who wants a good vacuum at a reasonable cost.

Best vacuum Ive ever owned. Its amazing how much this picks up that my old shark left behind. Turbo head is not powered but it works well on my medium pile carpet. I wish the cord was longer but using extension cord is easy. I added a comfort handle and extra long crevice tool.

Not the same Miele that I used to have, a lot lighter and maybe less robust, but does a great job. This doesn't come with a carpet roller brush, but it does have all the other attachments. I think it's a great value and works perfectly in my home with hard floors and no pets.

This vacuum is amazingly powerful and cleans very quickly. I used to vacuum the same spot on the carpet at least 3 times before I was able to remove all of the cats hair. One sweep with my Miele and "poof" the hairs disappears. We're very pleased with our choice.
