[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are really only a few washer/dryer towers that are available in this specific size so GE was our choice. The washing machine drum has a surprisingly large capacity, which is a nice feature since the size as a whole has to be relatively small. For customers going from an older unit with less computer components and lower Energy Star Ratings you should be aware that the wash cycles tend to be rather long, as they are in most washers now as well. My mother, who I bought this unit for, was convinced that it wasn't working correctly because the heavy/larger cycle took so long, so be sure to look up the general times it takes so as not to be too surprised. These machines are made to do most of the work in the washer so that the dryer has less to do. Our only complaints so far is that the agitation cycle on the washer makes a bizarre grinding/whirring noise that is pretty loud and takes some time to get used to. Otherwise, it appears to work well.

I absolutely love this dryer 😍. The look is nice and sleek, simple front face, no electronic face to try to figure out, easy push button to start, large easy to use lint trap and large inside from to be able to dry large loads of clothing. Clothes dry quickly. You choose your heat settings, easy ventilation and it runs quietly, you barely hear it running, it's steady with no vibration and it has a end of cycle buzzer that's nice and loud so you really can hear. The only thing I wish it had is a light inside. This dryer was priced well, delivered in good condition and installed. I'm very happy with my dryer and highly recommend.

It gets a little hotter than expected even on Medium Settings, the reason for 4 Stars instead of 5 is not only this but also because the alarm on this unit is VERY loud and repeats before the timer ends and when the timer ends and you cannot disable this feature of the dryer. Self-Repair on this unit practically requires you to break down the whole thing in order to replace one simple part (Heating Element for example). All in all, it was a budget priced unit, and you get what you pay for. The drum capacity looks small when you first open it but it actually is not that small and will dry even large loads.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 6.2 cf GE clothes dryer was just installed. I am drying my first load and it seems to work fine. It is replacing a 26-year-old dryer with a capacity 6.5 cf. I could not fit a larger dryer cabinet into my limited space. It is a basic dryer with a smaller cabinet and low cost. The noise level is about the same as the dryer it replaced. The dryer did not stop when I opened the door, so I will have to be retrained to turn it off before opening the door :-)

I've had this dryer for 4.5 years & it's still going strong. If you are a light sleeper, do laundry late at night, or don't like loud noises = THIS IS NOT THE DRYER FOR YOU. If I had known how loud the end of cycle signal was I wouldn't have bought this. It's literally like a siren in your home. This whole fixed end of signal thing is ridiculous as there's no need for this to be so loud. I've heard commercial dryers that were not this loud. But overall it's a simple unit and gets the job done. I haven't had any of my clothes damaged and the thing is easy to clean. I do wish there were more heat/fabric options but it gets the job done. Capacity wise it can handle a large amount of clothes and the depth of the drum is super reasonable for a small home. Vents are easy to clean

I have been using this gas dryer for about a month with no problems. For its size it can hold a large load of clothes, much larger than the one it replaced of about the same size (an old, different brand). I use the timed drying, the timer appears to be quite accurate. The knob is a bit hard to turn, but I got used to it quite quickly. Once I determined the proper time and either normal or medium heat for different kinds of loads, they always come out nice and dry. I am happy with the purchase.

I've been using the GE Spacemaker washer/ dryer combo for a few weeks now. And it been a solid choice for my apartment so far. The washer is smaller than full size unit, but it still handles heavy loads and get clothes clean. The stainless-steel basket is a nice touch and feels durable. The dryer works well and has enough room for most of my laundry , including towels and bedding. Overall the unit is a perfect if you're tight on space but still want something reliable and easy to use.

The dryer was selected for size as it was the only dryer with dimensions that could fit through the doors inside the house and down the stairs to the basement where it had to be installed. It works well. It fit perfectly. The manual applies to more than one model. From reviews of this model and from descriptions online of this model, this dryer had an audible alarm to let you know the dryer was finished drying. The dryer we received does not have any alarm.

We live in a rural area and it is hard if not impossible to get a repairman when needed. We usually repair our applicances ourselves whenever possible. Knobs make repairs for us much easier for us; plus they seem to last longer.

This dryer performs exactly as described. It is a no frills basic model which I chose because of size limitation. A nice feature is that it continues for a short time after the end of cycle buzzer giving you time to remove items before wrinkles set in. My only disappointment is the buzzer is very loud and not adjustable. All in all, it's good.

This is our second GE washer & dryer set. They are performing as expected and look great in our laundry room. We like the larger size lint trap compared with our earlier model dryer and the overall sturdier construction. The only drawbacks we've encountered are the missing light in the dryer and the obnoxiously loud end-of-cycle buzzer/alarm.

Basket size holds more than I thought it would, given this is a smaller capacity unit than I previously had. I'm pleased with how clean everything gets and the dryer does an excellent job.

The noise is minimal and would be fine inside. Ours is outside on a built on porch room. This dryer does not have bells and whistles but it does get the job done. I also miss the inside light for taking clothes out but of course that is another whistle. You get what you pay for and it operates and functions well so that is what counts. This is an old school dryer so don't expect anything high-end.
