Neosporin has been my first line of defense since the early 90's. I had a Parakeet. A cat slit open his tummy. left a gapping hole. No vets care for birds. My only idea or option was to treat Peppis wound like i do my kids. I rinsed wound with boiled/ Cooled water. paper towel dried. Then filled that gapping hole with Original Neosporin until it over flowed. Kept him in my quiet bedroom in a 70 degree temp. After Repeating this every 4 days. For 1 month.\n He recovered completely. Lived another 10 years. Yes he was 14 years old.\nThis experience made me a Believer in this Neosporin product.

This is a must have for wild boys and for everyone that tends to get allot of scrapes and cuts. I tend to work on vehicles quite a bit and my hands get dirty, I only use this However when I believe that the wound needs it like if grease or anything unusual gets into the cut or scrape. It definitely speeds up the healing time for me anyways. A bandaid and this are the perfect combination! I keep a tube of this in my house and in our emergency first aid kit! I've been using Neosporin for at least 40 years. here's why:\nI have never gotten an infection on a wound/cut treated with Neosporin.\nBandages don't stick to wounds covered with a bit of Neosporin. \nSkin is kept supple so scabs don't dry out and crack.\nSores heal faster and scarring, if any, is not noticeable on skin with minor damage. \nA bonus reason is that Neosporin does not sting or burn, ever. \nDoes not require a prescription.\nGood for all ages.\nA little bit goes a long way.\nReasonably priced.

Good afternoon. I do a lot of gardening during the Spring and Summertime, pruning and planting on my almost 20 acres of land. This is a staple in my household, as someone who is always clumsy getting cuts, and with a hubby with sensitive skin, this is a must!! A little a amount goes along way you can just apply with a Q-tip or apply to the back of your hand so the rest that's in the tube doesn't get infected. There is little to no sense if anything a little sense of like petroleum jelly but nothing too strong, and it honestly alleviate any discomfort that I have on my skin or my husband's skin.

my big toe nail was a little discolored and showing signs of infection while it was growing into my skin and causing pain. I used clippers and cut a good portion off exposing my nail bed, which has some hard flaky skin that I also removed with the clippers. I use the Neosporin for about 5 days, rubbing it on the area and then placing them bandid over it. It completely cleared up with no issues. the nail grew back and I have not had any problems since.

It works. I had to use it on my baby, Ella, and my dog. No problem. Did what it was supposed to do. I think it will work for you too. I mean, it's a given. Antibiotic ointment. I think 1 ounce at about $9.00 is pretty costly. I think that if you compare it to the Equate brand, you'll do better. You typically do. Just make sure that they have identical ingredients. That's been my experience anyhow.

We keep a bottle or two of these at home at all times so we have something to reach for when we have a skin irritation/need some healing to relieve a cut etc. The product package is a good size - it lasts long enough, and it's also easy to squeeze out product. The skin takes it in and starts to improve pretty quickly - most times, overnight is long enough to notice an improvement.

Or if im working on an old house project and im skeptical about how likely my immune system is going to fight off something.
