I've had this 5200 for about 5 or 6 years and it has not failed me once. I've had the occasional ribbon cartridge give me some grief, but never the printer. The rechargeable battery last most of a busy workday and the ability to switch over to the AA batteries has finished the day. My kit is stocked with several size ribbons and a set of new batteries. The 5200 is the "gold standard" in our organization and we have hundreds of them. The only ones we replace are those accidentally drop-tested from a lift...

Printer seems to work great so far. Prints labels with the supplied 3/8" cartridge with no problems but is giving me a bit of trouble with the 3/4" cartridge. Labels print but the ribbon isn't feeding back into the cartridge, instead its being fed out with the label. I believe this is just a defective cartridge and I am in the process of trying to get a replacement cartridge to make sure.

This is one well built unit, it has heft, maybe a bit too much, the case itself is nearly 1cm thick in places, including the bonded rubber coating. The girth of the unit I can handle, having big paws. But for someone with small hands might have trouble managing the unit without a tether. Have yet to really put it to the test yet, but my initial impression is that it'll be ready for whatever I ask it to do. Except cook... *sighs*

I recently purchased the Rhino 5200 Kit to make labels for my baked goods--what a good idea! I appreciate the thought that went into designing it.

i haven't had much time to play with it , but so far I like it a lot , bought most for the idea of printing on shrink tubing to mark cables

I have only had it for a few days, so far so good. lots of options and it is super easy to figure out all the functions.

The labeler works very well and the case is well designed to hold all the needed accessories including plenty of label cartridges.

This is perfect for the jobs we work. Easy to use. Offers several different formats which we needed.

Just getting started, found switching between general /wire/cable without re-typing the label such a time saver and then the sequential labels a big help too. As a matter of fact I may sell it to a friend so I can get the 6200.

My field guys like how easy it is to use and it gets the job done.

This label maker is very easy to use, makes great labels and so far has worked without any serious problems. The one issue I had out of the box was that when printing labels on 3/4" shrink tube they came out with a blank stripe (i.e. no ink printed) down the center of the label. After not finding a solution on line, and not getting a response from Dymo, I started experimenting, wasting about half of an expensive cartridge (did I mention they are all expensive, not just shrink tube) trying to see if I got a bad unit, bad cartridge, or there was some other issue. It turns out that both cleaning the print head helps a little and darkening the print (it is called "print contrast" under the "settings" button fixed the problem. Dymo Rhino 5200. Very high quality case, keys, and very nice navigation through menus for characters. Prints black on a color or on white perfectly. When printing white, however, the output is mottled and in my mind, objectionable-I simply won't use the colored tapes for white text. I did clean the head as instructed in the manual-and the unit did print this way right out of the box.

Rhino 5200 is great for network and electrical panel labeling.\r\nThe Polyester labels are very wear-resistant, but have a memory so aren't good for tight diameters. If you're labeling flat surfaces go with Polyester.\r\nThe other tapes are Vinyl and Nylon, both are flexible but Vinyl can be used in direct sunlight.\r\n(The above took a very long time to figure out; most sites, including Dymo, won't really tell you the basic things you need to know.)\r\nThe print automatically gets small if you need that, to the point where I've put onto one 3/4" tape a host's name, IP, drop number, and property number. It's tough to read with my older eyes but it'll fit onto the label, 4 lines all scrunched onto the tape. The LCD gives you an idea of what will fit and what won't, by graying a part of the display.\r\nBattery lasts a long time - you can save some money by going with disposable AAs*6. The lithium-rechargeable is nice, charging is fast. Just make sure you have a lot of labels to make before you go that route.\r\nThe orange-colored display is easy on the eyes and very legible. I'd recommend you go to labelcity.com for labels - they've been quick and knowledgeable and it's their core product, not just something in a large store that knows nothing about what they sell.\r\nI think the rest of the features you can get by reading the product's brochure.

I had used cheaper home label machines for labeling wires in A/V systems only to find out that even in complete darkness, wires that were labeled then terminated in a light tight, dry cabinet or even in a wall, would completely fade in about 5 years. \n\nI bought the Rhino 5200 and was amazed by all the features, i can label network panels, electrical panels and my favorite feature, cable labeling. The heat shrink tubing option is also a great feature!\n\nThe first thing I did was take a 2 ft piece of coax cable and printed a dozen labels with different tapes, nylon vinyl, polyester and heat shrink, (the nylon and heat shrink stick the best in every situation BTW). I then tossed the labeled wire up on my roof where it was exposed to the harsh southern Arizona sun and weather for almost 2 years. the other day i ws on the roof for another issue and found the wire, the labels were all still on the wire, ( cable wrap, flags, etc) and had NOT faded at all!\n\nthe nylon labels stick best, the vinyl not so much. print quality declines when batteries are low.\nwhat would be great is if they made a white on black flexible nylon tape. I have also used off brand tapes with good results as well. \n\nLong story short, this is great label printer!

This label maker has some neat features if you work with a lot of cable wires and what not. Most of the time the labels do not appear very dark especially on the bigger labels that make it seem like it is very low quality. A regular label printer is much more consistent.

I previously wrote a review on this hose, but here we go, I needed to replace the upper hose on my 2007 Nissan 350z after replacing my radiator w/a aftermarket performance radiator. Well, the stock hose became to short, approx. 13' oem. The mouth of the upper radiator was further left approx. 15-16"..this hose at 17" was the ticket..1.25inch in diameter it fit perfectly and I'm running that baby! I used it so far to drill through hand truck floor to put wood board on it to expand the floor. The spyder brand also worked great but the set was too small maybe not will i use the who le set anyway? The dewalt steel bit did not go through steel. I have just built myself a new recording studio and needed to label all the cabling before moving all the existing gear to the new studio. This did the job very well. It took a little messing around to get used to the different font sizes etc. but I am very pleased with the results. I have had this printer for several years and it works very well and the battery lasts a long time. I did notice that the print quality degraded after a while. I tried changing the tape but that did not help. Although the display showed the battery was good, I charged it anyway. That seems to have fixed the label quality problem. I like the way the nylon labels stick to just about anything.

It's a great product but not easy to use. It will require intense learning if you are a novice to this kind of thing.
