I purchased a demo model. It's new! Works beautifully.<br \/>\r\nThe Denon sounds better than my last player. I don't see the need to use an outboard dac with this Denon. It's very fine sounding.<br \/>\r\nSweetwater is a great place to buy electronic equipment! No question about it!

Time will tell how this holds up (my Panasonic finally gave up the ghost after 25+ years) but I really like this unit so far. Great sound, nice features (though not as many as the Panasonic, which I was unable to find on any current CD player), looks good with my other components.

My CDS sound so much more complete and refined compared to my old CD player.Now I can listen to CDS that my other machine wouldn't play. That reason alone made the Denon model worthwhile. This was my first venture into a new high end CD component and I"m very satisfied with it.

I have been a DENON fan since the 80's. Great sound and features that I really like. Bluetooth capibilities for speakers and being able to stream music. Just enjoy a movie with Elite sound. Systems lasts, still got my first one.

Have owned this player now for a few months and it is a wonderful addition to my audio setup. Pairs well with my NAD C-368 via the optical input. Has a very clean, well designed appearance with reasonably good build quality.

Preforms as advertised. Smooth cd drawer. The lcd display on the front is very small not much info. The remote does not have a function to open the cd drawer,you must open only on the machine. Does not come with full operating manual, must look up on web. Good machine not great four stars only.

I have a Denon amplifier that I bought in the mid 1990's that still punches out great sound, and is still highly rated amongst the 'audiophile' crowd to this day. Sure, you can play CD's on a DVD/BluRay player, but you just don't get the full sound. When it came to buying a new 'stand alone' CD player, it was a 'no brainer'. Get a Denon. The full 32 bit experience is something to be marvelled. So true to the original recording, it will bring new life to even the most familiar CD's in your collection. If you love music CD's? My previous cd player had become choosy about which discs it would play, so I decided to replace it. So far, the Denon deck has played all the discs I have tried in it, whether they are commercial ones or CDRs or CDRWs. This product plays well and even reads a colored CD that I have. I needed this player to replace another one that was having problems. So far, I have had success with this product. I like the appearance (would like a silver option). The only thing that it does not have is an eject button on the remote, but that is better than not having a button on the product. Read More

I have had this CD player for a little over a month now and it is very good. Straightforward appearance. Easy to set up. Sound quality is superb. I mostly listen to 60s-90s rock, but also dabble in classical and jazz records. They all sound great with this player. It fits right in with my Denon receiver and vintage ADS speakers. Good CD player. Clear and crisp sound. Clear display. The only downside is that the remote that controls the Denon receiver doesn’t control the CD player so a separate remote is required. CD remote has additional controls that the CD player faceplate does not like random play or repeat play. Otherwise a much better unit that the DVD player I was using in place of a CD player to play my CD’s.

The Denon CD player works fine. And the set up was pretty easy, you just have to plug the wires from the CD player to your stereo receiver or amp. The only problem I had was checking my speaker output setting on my receiver, as I did not hear anything at first!
