Google play wouldn't let me use it for my son… very disappointed, I couldn't get a refund. Google play said I needed to have extra verification on my son's phone to try to add money to it. It's definitely not Walmart… it's google play itself.

i dislike that the pharmacy doesnt call me with delays and the app just says there is a delay not what it is. it was delayed for 3 days intil i called and it was just them needing updated insurance information.

this was an ABSOLUTE Nightmare... mother of G*d... if you have history with Google play you likely know that the finance aspect of gplay is finicky.. but i thought, you know what, I'll avoid all the trouble and make the most above board, pristine purchase gplay has ever seen.. \nif you're still with me and youre wondering the significance of any bits I'm about to mention, don't worry, just know, it is a factor to some extent that Google considers when screening and making decisions to prevent fraud...\nready ?\ní bought this $10, yes 10 messily dollars Google play gift card \n- with my own personal debit card I've had for years attached to my own bank accounnt I've also had for years\n-the debit card i paid with matches line item to what shows on my valid state driver's license\n- which in turn matches line item my profile information on my Walmart account\n-i bought this card locally from the Walmart closest to where i live, my local retail ( Physical location) store\n- I attempted to redeem this card on my own personal Google play account that I've had and been using for over 15 years . i never have and never will subject my account to anything even remotely shady prior to this attempt\n- i did not use a VPN or public wifi of any kind\n- i used my mobile data on my personal mobile phone with Mobile service in my name matching line item my , again-state drivers license\n\nand despite all the above being true, Google STILL interviened and refused to accept my gift card submission, pending the results of their request for "additional information ”\nthis *request" is not for the feit of heart,..i literally grew up with computer's, i could use a keyboard before i stopped needing diapers...So I'm very comfortable with computers and you probably guessed it, this request for info was just another in a lot of likely hundreds I've done over my life time. \nthis request still took me 30 minutes to complete... took ME 30 minutes... I'm not trying to toot my own horn but being realistic, the average user would need an hour if not longer to complete this request to the extent Google requires...\nSTILL this wasn't enough...\ni had to do an entire second submission as my first one didn't pass their smell test and they closed my case after waiting 5 business days for them to review it....\noh and if you're thinking of being sneaky dodging Google supports AI bots screening for giftcard submissions... the moment your Google support representative learns that's what youre inquiring about, they clam up immediately and direct you to a link where you can submit their "request for info".\nafter a second submission and over 7 Business days time, Google graciously approved... my "sketchy Google play gift card submission....."\nif you take anything away from this review save yourself a headache buy a prepaid Mastercard or prepaid Visa if nothing else don't waste your money on a Google Play card you'll regret it...

Make absolutely sure that you have an Android device and a Google Play account. Will not work on iPhone/Apple devices without using a crossover app and even then it's iffy. I have $50 in a G.Play account that will sit there 4ever :( NO-Refunds

I bought these for myself. Im retired, I use them to pay for canva and other web based app subscriptions. I bought 3 in a month and this apparently flagged me, concerned about fraud. Adults use these to avoid overspending. Canceling %26 tying up funds for 10 days is unacceptable. You.send me.an.email,.Ill respond if it's not my order. sheesh.

i could not use it would not recognize the code. .i call the store . the man was no help. the code was 16 digits long . not like how it use to be in 4 digits then space then 4 more digits space 4 more digits space 4 digits.. He said he contacted google they said 16 digit code. i wasn't on hold but 2 or 3 minutes. never have i got Google customer service that fast he said he spoke to a person. if so you must have a hotline to get a person that fast. he said i wasnt doing it correctly. it was strange the first time i tried to purchase it i was declined. not the first time it happened. i checked for two hours it wasn't in my email. i asked the man to transfer me to electronics department. or security. he hung up on me. i then went online to see if it happens alot. what i read said Walmart wont do anything. wont trace the serial number nothing . the serial number looks funny also .lucky it was for small about. i wont order no more from Walmart. i wanted to speak to electronics i use to have to go to another web page to see the 16 digit code with spaces. the other code was to open the real code. like the back of the gift card the black magnetic strip. all the links in the email says not secure link can't open. i am not sure if i should get the police or since i can't get info.

bought two added them to my google play acct which are still sitting in my play acct yet cant everything an anythimg ive tried using the balance i purchased it gets declined although my balance claims they were added an on my acct balance showing the balance i added seemingly to be there an available till you actual go try to use on a goolge play purxhase again no matter what the purchase or price attempted to be used an everytime its the same error message for insufficient funds while staring right at the balance thazs clearly not insufficient. ive contaced google plus some of the sites tried using at to all saying theres nothing that cam be done cause it says its there even if its not allowing me to use what was properly purchased, redeemed an proven to be also. needless to say i guess i get to continuesly stare at a balmce on my acct i never will be able to actually use although doing everything right an according to any guidelines etc. pathetic

This app is truly spectacular as it saves me time, money and energy. A great experience. You may not receive it right away. I got my email somewhere in the range of 30 minutes to an hour. Lately Google has not been accepting my debit card so I needed to get this as an emergency to pay for a subscription. It was very handy to be able to do it through Walmart. The code is right there in the email where you can copy and paste it on your Google account.

Useful to send as gifts or for yourself. The redemption requires you to log into your google account through a link rather than entering the redemption code directly into your phone which seems unnecessary but isn't a big deal. It might be designed that way for security purposes.

I was a bit skeptical reading the reviews but I was able to redeem the code pretty quickly and easily. Walmart generated the gift code about half an hour after I placed the order but everything else was as expected.

Like the ease of purchasing these play cards on line for our grandchildern. Pick the dollar amount, you will receive a code on your email that you give to your grandchild, and that's easy!

Walmart delivered the gift card to my email within 10 minutes as promised. The issue is Google. I went to redeem this, and google said it needed more information from me. I had to send them a copy of my receipt, where i bought it, what city I'm in, and my phone number. Then I get a popup stating that it could take weeks for an "investigation." What? It's a $25 card, so my kid could play minecraft. They stated it was because of scammers. Well, google, you're the real scammer. I have no gift card I paid for, and there is no game.
