[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in desperate need of a new printer so when I found out I was getting this I was very excited. This is a laser printer so it's one large cartridge vs the little cartridges. So that means it will print a lot more pages with such a big ink cartridge. It's WiFi capable so I am able to scan directly to my email. You can fax and you can also print from your phone or computer wirelessly. There is also an app you can download load and save files to as well but so far haven't needed to use that. The only thing to keep in mind is that this is strictly for black ink only which is fine for me because I need it mostly for work related purposes. The only time I ever need colored ink is if I'm doing photos or something of that nature and I have a different printer set up for that. A really solid laser printer.

I am amazed at how intuitive it is and how fast. I tried two other printers first. One was gigantic and more than I would ever need and I couldn't figure it out. The next one had an led box that was so tiny that I coud not read it even with a magnifier. I have low vision. For some reason I thought I needed color. I do not, I finally realized that color complicated my life too much. I do wish that this direction screen was bigger with darker print, but I could read it and function when the paper ran out using a magnifier. I'm glad I didn't purchase the color one I was looking at just because it had a much bigger led screen. I almost did that so please make this one bigger. I do think this is magic, though. I really, really like it. I've used the scanning feature and the double sided feature already and both worked flawlessly and so, so fast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this printer is great for small home office use and if you're a writer that needs to print a lot. This printer can print large quantities in a short time, about 34 pages a minute. This is a monochrome printer which only prints in black and white.I think the monochrome printer has a dramatic difference to other printers that I've had. The black and white pages look a lot better on the monochrome printer to me vs a regular home printer that also prints in color. If you choose to get this printer, I suggest you get a sturdy table or desk because the printer has a little weight to it. I also like the app that allows you to print without being connected/wired to the printer and the easy to follow menu.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This printer is exactly what I need for my home office. This sits on top of my little bookshelf and doesn't take up a ton of space which I love. First this printer was sooo easy to setup took less than 5 minutes. I downloaded the app which shows you your ink level, machine status, allows you to print and scan. When you print it's not super loud and prints quick. This uses toner which can print up to 3,000 pages, reducing your frequency to replace. I like that I can print and scan so easily. This has a fax option but I don't use that. The only downside is that this doesn't have a usb port for a flashdrive. Overall this compact printer does everything you need for at home.

Installed wirelessly with two iMacs. Worked right out of the box. Only downside is that each time it starts up with a print job, both of my UPS units kick-on briefly. Electrically noisy, significant initial power draw, something else?? Never happened with my old HP Laserjet 1200 (ancient, but incredibly reliable) and HP Inkjet AIO.

Great but--- I had an HP printer before and somehow this printer had the old print in its system, and I had to ask copilot how to fix it. The HP printer is off my computer as well as no print jobs in queue. Therefore, with copilot's help I had to reset the printer to purge the files in it. So far now so good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this printer! I threw out my old printer and immediately started using this one. The ink is pretty expensive but it lasts for a pretty long time and is a pretty big cartridge. They have an app which you can connect to your tablet phone or computer to help printer and edit documents before you print and it works great. I had to use their customer service to help me set up and they were super quick and helpful with it as well. Brother has always been a great brand and I will now use this for my business instead of my old one for sure.

I'm pleased with the features of this printer, except for the fact that it doesn't support duplex (printing on both sides of a sheet) when using the copy function. It does support it when printing a file from my PC.

The printer works great, and it is faster than my older MFC-7370. Here are a few things I don't like. The toner cartridges have an embedded chip to monitor toner usage. This supports the automatic refresh program. However, aftermarket toner cartridges are now more expensive because of it. I also miss the old Brother utilities app. Scanning is a bit more difficult now, but I am getting used to it. I like that all pages of a scan are visible before you save the file on your computer or cloud account. Overall, it is a solid printer. Much better than other printers I have used.

The printer works fine. I only wished it would print a fax conformation page to indicate the fax went through. This is my only issue so far.

We had trouble getting it set up but once we chatted with Tech Support and did a full install we got it working as it was supposed to.

For my home office, this machine can handle what I need. I wish it was faster. I cannot speak to the scanning operation.

I am loving this brothers printer. I've been using it for a couple months now and have not had any issues. I really love being able to print documents when I am not near my printer and they are ready for me when I get there. I use all of the functions on this printer. When using the scan feature, I have a choice to scan documents to my laptop or phone to send an email. Also set-up for the printer was very easy. This is a 5 star for me.

They have an app that guides you through the set up and once's it's set up you can go on about your printer and print whatever you need anywhere from your school assignments, recipes or even copy your kids art work. This printer is a beast and it's not as heavy as it looks. Brother printer did a good job on making it simple for home use.

simple and fast printing

I replaced an older Brother laser with this unit. Was glad to see that all my existing software worked with this unit. Brother even provided an upgraded version of Paper Port . Same as older one, but, supported the newer hardware. Set up was extremely easy, and took less then 30 minutes, including the network stuff. This is my 3rd Brother Laser. They are dependable, reasonable priced, and work\n horses...

good machine

This is a phenomenal device! It does everything you could possibly want from a printer, does it very well, and does it in a small footprint. When we chose to obtain a second printer we already knew where to look, as we have had a larger Brother All-in-One for well over 10 years, with nary a problem. That this device is also wireless provides a huge benefit. Very highly recommended!!!

First of all, this is one of the best brands for printers, and I really cannot believe I didn't pay for it. It's high-quality very strong and durable.
