For the past two years we have struggled with finding (and keeping) a great vacuum. We have went through a total of four vacuums all of which failed us. This WindTunnel® 3 High Performance Pet Bagless Upright vacuum from Hoover is exactly what my family needed! In our home we have a toddler, a dog, and two cats which means we are ALWAYS cleaning! This vacuum was fairly easy to set up and only took me approximately ten minutes. Before using the vacuum, I had to make sure to turn the dial (located near the side) on the correct option. There is a floor option as well as a hose option. Since I was doing my carpets first, I also had to set the height adjustments to the proper setting. The Hoover WindTunnel® 3 has 7 height adjustment positions ranging from bare floor to high pile carpet. I was immediately impressed with the results I received after my first use. The Hoover WindTunnel® 3 is designed with three channels of suction that lifts and removes deep-down dirt. I was able to remove cat hair and teddy gram crumbs from our mid-height carpet with just one pass. It also worked well on our low-height area rugs! Since this vacuum comes with a ton of unique tools, I was able to get more than just the carpet! The multi-floor brushroll allows me to move from carpet to hardwood with just a press of a pedal. Since my dog and cat food is always placed on tile, I was extremely excited to see how easily it removed spilled hard pet food. The Hoover WindTunnel® 3 is also built to drop filter-clogging dirt out of the airstream which helps the filter stay clean and prevents any clogging. The primary filter is reusable which means I can simply clean it off every two months (or as needed). The HEPA filter, which traps 99.97% of dirt and dust, can also be cleaned every six months. I was very excited to test out the rubberized pet tool pack that this vacuum came equipped with. This pack is made especially to remove stubborn pet hair and to get into hard to reach spaces. The rubberized pet pack included a turbo tool and an upholstery tool which cleans furniture, stairs, and other decor. It also included a telescoping extension wand that extends the reach of the hose to 15" and a crevice tool that gets into small cracks and crevices. One of my favorite features this vacuum has is the bottom-release cup. Instead of having to dump all of my dirt out and getting it all over my hands, I can simply hold the cup over a trash can and empty it with a push of a button. This Hoover WindTunnel® 3 is by far one of the best vacuums I have had the pleasure of trying. I was able to get my entire house clean with one pass and since it has a 40' cord, I was able to do so without needing to unplug. Also for being as heavy duty as this vacuum is, it was extremely lightweight! We are 100% satisfied!

It might be one of the best carpet vacuums ever. In using it on our carpets, I have discovered a sad fact that I didn't really expect...our carpets (okay, WE!) were living in squalor. There was a vast plush realm of dirt, dust, pet hair, and heaven knows what else living in my "regularly vacuumed" carpets. After several vacuumings with this things, I am *still* in awe of what is picked up. Now, the other side. This unit is terrible on hard surfaces. It simply doesn't pick up well, period. The wand, while cleverly extendable, is woefully short. The pet hair attachment doesn't live up to expectation. Perhaps if brush and rubber beater were somehow combined in the unit it might be more effective, but the beater only approach just doesn't do the trick. The dusting attachment is useful, but imperfect. I do think the nozzle attachment for tight areas is good, but the short wand you plug it into just doesn't allow me to get to certain places that I could with a previous unit. Another reviewer mentioned that the clasp on the bin is rather cheesy, and I do agree. I suspect it will fail at some point. I will use it until it dies, then likely go with another variety. This unit's shortcomings would keep me from purchasing it again. It just lacks a certain refinement. There is more, but I will call this enough. Good luck in your search!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are some issues with tht vacumm that I am not satified with. First it only comes with onlt a Pivoting Dusting Tool (Brush) , and crevice tool. The dusting tool is useless unless your going to vacuum fan blades or anything up high, this comes in two pieces, the brush clips to the frame of the part that you insert into the vacuum hose, this brush will come apart at times while using it. The cord is 40 feet long which is a nice feature, but it does not automatically rewind. It is a real chore to rewind the cord by hand. I think it would have been better to have a shorter cord, than no auto rewind. This was billed as the best bagless upright, but when you read the fine print, this statement only refers to carpet floors. My entire house has tile floors, I also have no pets. I based my purchase on the statement best bagless upright, and that it apparently has the best suction. I have used it a few times, and I am just not satified with the parts or design. It does have good suction. I cannot turn of the rotary brush when using the hose and atachments. I cannot actually dust pictures, baseboard, door frames, etc because of the useless dusting tool. It also makes a lot of noise. I was offered some dusting tools because of a complant I made to the sellers, but I have not received them yet, in fact, I just received notice that have just been shipped. I don't have pets so can't say if it is good to clean up after pets, it pains me to say, but I would not recommed it based on the features and lack of tools.

It was easy to assemble, has great suction, an integrated long extension hose and wand, the longer cord, it's bagless and easy too empty, easy to maintain, with rinsable filters; all for an affordable price. I had another WindTunnel which was similar to the new one. It ran great and I loved it for about 15 years until a small, plastic part cracked. After that the belt wouldn't stay on. I contacted Hoover and they were great with quick responses and answers to my questions. I can only hope the new one lasts as long. I almost rated it 5 stars but I hate red and I don't know yet if it will last 15 years and also because it is so loud that I think I may have to resort to wearing ear plugs.

Our old vacuum would not work on it as the long fibers were grabbed by the beater brush of the vacuum and it could not be pushed across the floor. I purchased another Hoover pet vacuum that had a height adjustment of four positions that I thought would work. It didn't and I had the same problem. After searching Hoover's website I came upon this one with 7 height adjustments. It works fine (even thought I wish it would go a little higher) and I love the vacuum. It has plenty of power and I am amazed at how much hair (I have two cats and a long haired wife) and dust it picks up each time I use it. I like how easy the height is to adjust and I not only use it on our carpets but also on the wood and tile floors. I no longer have to haul out the cumbersome hose and wand for our built in built in vacuum system to do the hard surfaces. One machine does it all! It has a step on switch that will turns off the brush bar when you are using the hose to clean upholstery or stairs or using it on hard surfaces. The hose will reach the top of my 12 stairs while the vacuum remains at the bottom. I previously purchased another vacuum brand that had the pet turbo tool and as soon as I put the tool against upholstery it would stop spinning so I never used it. I thought this one would be the same but I was presently surprised at the power the handheld rotary brush has. It does a great job of cleaning pet hair off our upholstered chairs and couches. It took a few tries, but I figured out the correct angle to hold it at and it does a great job of cleaning the carpeted stairs with out bogging down. The 40 foot cord is great for my house and I only have to unplug it and move it once to do the whole house. I had never had a bagless vacuum and I was afraid that dust would fly everywhere when I emptied the container but it doesn't. The only feature I wish it had, that it doesn't, is a bright light.

Bought this six months ago after my old one died out. I have two cats, including a medium haired one who sheds frequently, as well as a litter box on carpet (small house, no other place to put it). This vacuum seems to handle the hair and litter pretty well, and I haven't had any issues yet. It was a little confusing to figure out how to empty to container, and it sometimes sticks - you have to get everything lined up perfectly. My old one wasn't as difficult. The plastic "hook" for wrapping the cord broke off after three months, so, now we have to sort of loop the cord over the handle which isn't great. It works very well on carpet, not so great on bare floors, and I've tried it with both roller off (as you're supposed to on bare floors) and roller on (just to see if it's different). The wand accessory works really well, though on flat surfaces, like along edges, but, it's a little cumbersome to use that on an entire surface. For the price, though, I'll just use a broom on flat surfaces.

Great suction once you figure out how to change between 'vacuum' and who knows what. At first it didn't pick up anything from my carpeting, then we figured out you have have to depress a pedal each and every time to get suction. Secondly, it is not self propelled and takes 'muscle power' to push unlike my replaced Wind Tunnel II that I had loved. Will have to get used to a 'work out' each time I vacuum now - wish I had realized it was NOT self propelled and required a lot of strength to push over carpeting!

My wife & I are in our seventies and purchased new carpeting for one of our rooms. The pile is longer than our previous carpet and our old vacuum did not have any adjustments for longer pile carpet. We purchased this vacuum because it had adjustments however, it's quite bulky and heavy to push on the new carpet. It does a good job with sweeping but for older folks it's a chore.

The articulated dust wand attachment is nearly useless because the head bends back with so little pressure. Useful on the hardwood as well as carpet. The twist lock removal of the dust cup, however, is a gigantic pain. But worth it for the price.

We have a dog that sheds, out old vacuum was getting tired. I couldn't believe how much hair I picked up when I borrowed my parents windtunnel 2. We wanted to upgrade and are very happy with it so far! It's very powerful and is reilly easy to empty and clean. The plastic feels a little cheap, I wish it was heavier.

Great on both carpet and wood floors. Suction is powerful. I cannot rate it 5 star because the latch on hose to use tools is tricky, should include a description on getting it to latch and it's a warm vacuum, generates more heat than I'm used to. Set your thermostat down when you begin.

Also the vacuum attachments regularly came apart during use and the brush was unable to hold its position when in use inhibiting my ability dust in hard places without repeatedly readjusting. I do not think that the quality of this product is good enough to last.

As a owner of Austrian Shepard I have to deal with a lot of dog hair everywhere! Normally I have to take the covers off of our couch just to clean it because the suction on our vacuum would never pick up the hair. Now with the special pet hair brush on the Hoover Windtunnel 3 High Performance Pet Bagless Upright I can easily get all the dog hair up without having to take apart my couch. I was shocked to see how much dog hair was in our carpets. I had just vacuumed with our old vacuum the night before but the canister was full of dog hair after re-vacuuming with the Hoover - WindTunnel® 3 High Performance Pet vacuum. I love the super long cord that allows you to vacuum multi able rooms without having to unplug your vacuum. The Windtunnel suction is able to remove all the bits of dirt from the carpets. With all this power it does make it a little more difficult to push. I feel like you are giving up a little bit on the weight of the vacuum and getting a lot of power. My favorite feature is a indicator on the top of the canister that shows you when you need to empty your vacuum. This bagless system is very simple to empty. All you have to do is hit one button while you are over your trash can and your canister will be empty. Unlike some other filters you are able to just rinse it clean. I really like my Hoover WindTunnel 3 High Performance Pet Bagless Upright Vacuum. The suction is great! By simply stepping on the lever on the top of the vacuum you can turn the rollers on or of making it very easy to push and clean. The bagless canister is easy to empty and the HEPA filter is easy to clean. I especially like all of the different accessories. My favorite is the pet turbo tool. It picks up all of the dirt and pet hair on my stairs and also off of my furniture with ease. I like that I can have it plugged in down stairs and I am able to use it upstairs since the cord is extra long at 40 feet. The vacuum itself is very powerful and removes all of the dirt and pet hair off of my carpet and wood floors. This is by far one of the best vacuum cleaners that I have owned.

We needed a pet vacuum as we have 3 dogs and 2 cats. Pet hair is so hard to get out of rugs and our sofas. I went with the Hoover Pet Windtunnel and I am so glad I did!! We have gone through so many vacuums through the years because they burn out and they don't last very long. We have had this vacuum for over a year and it is holding up great! It has great suction and removes all the pet hair from our furniture and rugs! It comes with multiple attachments so that you can use the right tools that fit your need for the task at hand! It works great on rugs and hardwood floors as it has level adjustments on it also. I highly recommend this vacuum if you are looking for a great pet vac for your household!! 100% worth the money.

I am very pleased with my new Hoover Wind Tunnel. My old hepa vac was a dog and frustrated me every time I used it. A couple of inconveniences developed as I started using my new vacuum. The cord kept unraveling until I noticed the little catch to prevent that problem. That's when I first fell in love with the machine. Then when I got to the stairs everything started going haywire including disassembly of the unit. Fortunately I remembered the odd little piece called the stair tool and the love affair deepened, especially when the hose reached the whole flight. I'm still savoring my victory. Now, I shall read the instructions to see if I missed anything.

In November we purchased both a Shark Bagless and this Hoover Bagless vacuums. My wife wanted to try the Shark. I said I would take the Hoover to the Man Cave. We have been using the Shark for weeks now but I didn't open the Hoover box until just recently. I thought the Shark had great suction, but WOW! This Hoover is so powerful it is getting stuck on the hardwood floor. I ran it over places where the Shark had great been and it picked up even more material. We have 3 cats so I have high hopes this will help to keep the furniture hair free. Also, this machine has many more features than the Shark, which we paid more for.

I had an original bagless Windtunnel since 2016, had it repaired a couple time and the repair guy always told me it was worthless trying to sell me other products Anyway it finally bit the dust after 11 years and I love that vacuum. So I researched online and I love this vacuum. I want thinking to the new Hoover that just came out. but this is the best vacuum Ive ever used. I have mostly tile floors in my 2400 sq ft house and it just is the best on tile and carpet. Living the the CA desert we always have sand, and never have I had a vacuum that cleaned the sand and dust like this one! best ever thanks Hoover!

I absolutely love this vacuum. When on and in an upright position the brush roll shuts off automatically so it doesn't sit there and chew up your carpet when using the wand attachments. It also has a button to press with your foot to turn off the brush roll to do hard floor surfaces. It has 7 height adjustments most vacuums only have 3. The wand attachment is awesome, when you detach the hose and re-attach it you know it's attached because it "clicks" back into place. The suction is incredible! I could go on and on about this vacuum. It really is the BEST vacuum on the market that you buy!

I purchased this vacuum cleaner in 2018 and it was absolutely fabulous!!! It was inadvertently thrown away in 2019 and I had a less desirable model purchased for me. I dealt with the other model for almost two years. When I ran across the model details for the WindTunnel I purchased before; I purchased it again. I am totally satisfied with my vacuum cleaner NOW and the ease of my cleaning experience. I have only ever used Hoover products and this vacuum cleaner has been the best yet!!! I have had two different models in the past few years and this model is fantastic.

We've had this about a month now and I must say I have been pleasantly surprised and impressed. Had a Shark, it broke... had a high dollar Electrolux, it broke (no parts availabilty) so far this has super suction and performs excellent, very easy dumping and not NEAR as messy as the Electrolux or Shark, plus a lot more dirt capacity. I always thought Hoover was a low end and trailer park quality vacuum but this really impressed me. A+A+A+

This thing works...and it works well!!! I am hard to please and have purchased two other brands of vacuums recently before this one. I have a golden retriever and the special pet hair upholstery attachment really takes care of things...love it! This vacuum does a great job with our wood floors and our carpet as well. the attachments fit on the machine without falling off all the time, too. Hoover does it right!

I've tried so many different vacuums and brands over the years and nothing can hold a candle to this machine. I love the brush shut off switch, the versatile height adjuster and the long stretch hose. I absolutely love that it has WAY more suction and power than that funky overpriced vacuum that rides on a ball. If you want a spotless house, buy this vacuum!

Bought this a couple of weeks ago after going through several vacuums in the past few years. I couldn't believe the suction and how much it picked up from the carpet. Having three dogs and a cat this vac does a great job. Construction is very sturdy. Not like other cheaper vacuums that are currently on the market.

This is a good vacuum and cleans well. The tools are easy to utilize and provide excellent cleaning for tight places. It is somewhat difficult to use on plush carpet if you are small (small frame). However, my husband does not have any difficulty. Overall I am satisfied with this Wind Tunnel.

I love this vacuum! I've only had it a short period of time but it's amazing! We have 3 dogs, a rabbit and a cat (and a husband who NEVER takes his boots off) so I vacuum daily. This thing pulled so much out of my carpet that it looks like I've never touched a vacuum a day in my life.
