I went from a 26 year old top loader to this front loader. LG does not provide printed instructions on how to use the machine. You have to go online to get directions. I find this annoying. Like other people have commented, the normal wash with the drum half full takes 70 minutes and longer if you add an extra rinse. I'm generally happy with the washer. It has the cycles I need and it seems to get my clothes clean. However, I am finding multiple capacity issues that I didn't have with my previous washing machine. First, the recommendation that I only wash one blanket at a time. Second, the detergent compartment can't hold the amount of detergent Tide recommends for full load. Love the size and look and function of this machine. It requires extra effort to keep the door and its seal dry and prevent a musty odor in the drum. We are currently drying the door’s window and seal with a towel and leaving the door wide open overnight each time we wash. We weren’t expecting this inconvenience. Really like the way it pairs with the dryer to automatically select a dry setting.More

I got this one because two people I know have the same model and they gave it a good reference. The washing machine seems to be performing as it should. The chime at the end of cycles isn’t very loud and it only does it once so since it’s down in the basement I don’t hear it. It’s not a model that I can put in the LG app to alert me so I have to set a timer or remember to go down and check.

This is the second LG washer I've owned. I love all the choices for cycles and how clean it gets my clothes. It works great but the rubber gasket has a horrible smell that won't go away. I've tried vinegar and water, downy rinse and refresh, baking soda and water You might want to smell gasket before you accept washer.

I couldn't be happier, finally a washer that cleans clothing well! I like the app as well that reminds me when cycles are done since I have the tendency to forgot when I start a load. Only minus is I wish I had more paper information about wash cycles, need the app to get more details.More

Washer will not be able to do king size comforter sets no matter what the description or sales people say so be careful.. Machine will shut off if you try.. Other then that very good product can't beat the price..

One day in, the LG washer and dryer are great. We're replacing a previous LG model that gave us almost 15 years of service before having any issues. \n\nHome Depot delivery ... some of it not so great (★★). The washer and dryer were each damaged during the installation (along with the door leading to our laundry room). I mentioned the damage in the emailed survey, and someone from HD promptly responded. I couldn't answer the phone, so they left a message saying we could replace the pair or get a (very specific) % refund on each piece. I just called the 800 number left in their message, and a different rep told me the refund would be a smaller % because the damage wasn't large enough for the % mentioned in the voicemail. (Word of advice - take precise measurements of the damage before you call. There will be a quiz.) No matter what I said, the customer service rep kept reading from the same script. "Based on the size of the scratch, I can authorize..." The call ended without a resolution.\n\nIn the grand scheme of things, none of this really matters. The outcome of this situation was determined long ago. HD knows we will (eventually) take its calculated solution, the units still work, and they will likely serve us well for another decade. But it's frustrating to be made to feel like an interchangeable variable plugged into an equation. For HD, this is just one of the more than 1 billion transactions processed this year by just a few of its hundreds of thousands of employees. It doesn't really matter. But for us, this might be our biggest purchase this year. The experience matters, and it's left a mark.

We had this LG washer/dryer pair, sitting side-by-side, in our previous home and I loved them both. When we bought a different house and renovated the laundry room last year, we ordered this pair again to stack them. We have owned 11 housed over the years so we have had a lot of washer/dryer pairs. This one is the best, by far. The washer has a Speedwash, 15-minute setting that you can enhance with Turbo Wash and this is perfect for everyday washing. The washer spins most of the water out of the clothes and they are dry in 25 minutes. This makes doing laundry quick and pleasant. They are WiFi enabled so you can set up alerts on your mobile device to help prevent forgetting laundry in either of the appliances. I use the steam feature for things like puppy pads that are harder to clean and disinfect. They look very contemporary in black and I used black pulls on the laundry cabinets. As with most appliance purchases, I added the 5-year protection plan to avoid paying for repairs during the coverage period. Once a month, I use a washing machine cleaning tablet on the "Tub Clean" setting and I leave the door open after every wash until the inside is dry to help prolong the life of the washer. This is an excellent, quiet washing machine that has very minimal vibration and I highly recommend it along with the matching dryer. There are so many settings that you can really customize the way you approach doing laundry.
