I have now used the washer for about a week and found it to be great dryer. \n\nGreat looking design. Similar to the paired washer, having the dial is a great plus as I don’t like just having the LCD. Starting the dryer takes little longer than expected. When you press the power button and the start button, it doesn’t start instantly There is slight lag, but it does help prevent accidentally pressing the start button. There is quick dry cycle (30min) which is very helpful when in a hurry. It would be nice to be able to adjust the dryig time for the quick dry. The clothes comes out dry and fluffy. I wasn't able to adjust the drying temperature under Normal cycle. Hopefully they can add this feature through ThinQ UP. I had it connected to ThinQ app and it was cool to be able to receive the alerts. I setup my LG TV to get the laundry alerts as well which is super convenient. It would be good to have new feature to turn on the Wrinkle care after I started the dryer since I always forget to turn it on. I like the steam feature to fluff my jackets and clothes that do not need to be washed. The best part is how quite the dryer is. You can barely hear any noise and it has large capacity. I was able to dry heavy loads without any problems. I do like that ThinQ app provides energy usage information which is helpful to manage how much electricity I’m using. As for the tub light, it was under the settings option same as the washer. Hopefully they can update this feature with ThinQ UP.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer about a month ago. I used to use a dryer with a dial not the one with many buttons. So far, I am so satisfied with this dryer. It does not dry my clothes like parched paper and all clothes come out soft and adequately dried. At first, I guess it's because of the AI function, the dryer stopped when the clothes were still a little bit damp. But the problem got solved after setting the dryness to very dry. Syncing the dryer with my phone, I never forget to take clothes out from the dryer. I also loved the steam function, especially to clean pillows. Pillows are tricky to wash because It takes forever to dry all the water soaked in the fillings. But steam function is a good option to clean pillows every one or two weeks. You don't WASH them, but the steam function still makes them like a new pillow, clean and puffy.

We bought both the Washer and Dryer at the same time. They work really well, but I am not so sure about the "built in intelligence". The dryer never over drys the cloths, and the choices seem fairly well programmed. Now, all the positives being said, here are my issues. The WiFi needs some work. Complicated to set up, and once, if dropped off line, and it took a 20 minute call to LG to get it back online. There are very little to NO instructions on the process for using the Steam Function. I tried it and the clothes came out damp. And lastly, the rubber gasket between the door and the dryer box is constantly needing to be cleaned, as the seal must not be fully sealing, and an accumulation of lint and debris is constantly building up. Other wise, we truly like the dryer. I paid full price for this unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works well, though my laundry room gets so steamy. I didnt have that experience with my previous dryer. It was a bit confusing to set up initially with the cords, I had to buy my own plug and wire it myself. Its a pretty quiet dryer and it will send a notification to your phone letting you know its done and when to clean the lint trap. I have dried several loads ranging from small to large and even dryed my comforters and quilts in it. Each time it has produced dry clothes. I have tested several of the functions on it and each preformed well, I havent had any issues with damp clothes or the need to rerun the load.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really nice looking and functional dryer\r\nWe bought the set including installation. The stainless tups inside both units are very large. Impressive. The first thing we did was to connect the Wi-Fi. It worked the first time. We created an LG account also (we never did when we got the refrigerator). The dryer has 13 pre-defined and selectable settings for drying. Plus you can select among numerous other settings and download it as a customer selectable setting. I like the speed wash setting where I can select minutes, temps, spin, soil, etc. My other likes the steam setting which helps get rid of wrinkles. This dryer actually connects to the water inlet of the washer to produce steam. Clever. Lots of options available for almost any combination of drying needs. You can set the dryer so that it can be controlled from a phone app to start. You can also get notifications of the dryer operations on your phone app. Wow. I can actually keep the door closed and here the dryer finished on my phone. BTW, the dryer is quiet compared to the last unit we owned. Another nice feature is the programming and feature selections on the washer are very similar. So we only had to learn once. Overall, our family of wash and dryers are VERY pleased with the product. Nice going LG.

In order to use low heat, I have to do a timed dry instead which is rather frustrating since my 22 year old dryer that I gave up let me set for what I wanted. It works well but I just wish the settings were more flexible.

Lg has a great reputation for quality and durable products. This 7.4 cubic foot dryer is a good size for a family of 5. This however is not their top of the line model. A simple QR code is not much of a selling point. (I've seen screwdrivers with a QR code). What's missing on this one is a steam option and interior drum light. I do like that you don't have to babysit this model. It will periodically turn on for a bit to keep wrinkles at bay until you can get to the batch of clothes. Very nice color and finish.

The dryer works great. However, when it was installed, the installers did not check if the exhaust cross- section was big enough. This issue will not appear as a failure on the installation test. The dryer was consuming 2x as much gas as my 25 y.o. dryer. After thinking about it a bit, I removed our 47 year old exhaust vent and replaced it with a vent with a much larger cross-section. Problem fixed. LG should specify the minimum exhaust in the installation manual. I would estimate it to be 3.5-4 inches. More

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our washer was missing the rubber in the drain filter so water was running everywhere. Had to replace the filter. This washer is quiet. I dont like having to drain the water out the bottom. I still haven’t figured the cycles out. It’s a little overwhelming compared to my old whirlpool washer and dryer. It has a lot of features to choose from. I just need to figure out how to use them all. I do like the look of the appliances. Overall it’s a great purchase.

I replaced my old one with the same model because I really liked the machine and it ran well for several years. The main board eventually gave out but I think I got the value out of it. One thing I would warn about though, is the delivery / installation. It's not the appliances fault, but when they delivered it the guys doing the delivery said it was too tight a space and they weren't certified to install gas (I paid extra for gas hookup) so my daughter and I removed the old one ourselves. Great dryer replacing my very similar LG dryer. One star was deducted because with the energy save mode engaged drying time is extended. The reason is that the first 40 minuets in this mode are air dry only. The machine is set by default to the energy saver mode. The quick solution it to use the timer dry mode but that defeats the use of other useful modes. I've try to defeat this mode but despite youtube videos and others I have not been able to do accomplish this. LG can you help?

Delivered without the stacking kit, venting hose. I was told i would get a call in 48 hrs to schedule delivery so installation can be complete. Multiple calls to HD and promised call backs and still my stuff has not arrived , no call backs . Last call, I was informed that the installation service could not be done because the washer and dryer were purchased at different times , even though I choose a product that LG told me was compatible and Home Depot sells installation .

I'm having a great time with this dryer. I dropped a screw into the interior when installing the 3 prong direct cord and all I had to do is remove the vent via 1 screw and reach in and grab the screw that fell. Really loving the design. Easy to operate as well. My one and only concern is that it doesnt have a lot of drying features compared to other dryers. For example, steam sanitary, and steam fresh. But im still impressed with its air dry and speed dry cycles.

Selected this large capacity dryer to pair with our existing LG washer. This dryer has a huge capacity, 7.4 CF, which means less loads of clothes to dry. The dryer has multiple cycle settings, including 8 selector knob selections and also manual dry which allows you to select the degree of dryness desired, as well as timed dry and adjustable temperature. We love the wrinkle care feature which will tumble your already dry clothes for up to 3 hours to prevent wrinkles. The Sensor Dry feature works really well, detecting the degree of moisture in the clothing and therefore it drys for only the length of time necessary, saving energy costs. This dryer also has advanced safety features including Flowsense duct clogging indicator and clean filter indicator. With these safety features you are alerted when it is necessary to clean the filter or ducts. The control panel is easy to understand and use. The dryer has a modern clean appearance and fits well in our laundry room space. It is also extremely quiet during use. Our LG washer has given us years of reliable service and we expect the same from this LG dryer.

i had LG before they work great ..till my washer broke i had them for 14 years, so we purchase a set but wen we got them deliver and install the dryer had a terrible rattle and the washer refuse to spin cycle...so were we bay the set replaced them both , the new set work great and we hare really happy with them..super great....there is one think the dryer have no inside light which it is a bit disappointing my older LG had one.

dryer was delivered on time and safely taken to the point of use. however, I was surprised to see the dryer was not in a padded box but rather wrapped in plastic. there were some small scratches on the bottom corner of the dryer, which of course will not affect its ability to dry. but I would have liked it to have been more stable and secured during shipping.

I purchased the LG set washer and dryer and have been blown away by the improvements from my old washer and dryer. Clothing is better washed and dried and saves water, The spin speed at max is a very hard spin but the machine does not move. Only reason this is not a 5 is the poor instructions for using provided by the manufacturer.

Finally tried a gas dryer after having an electric dryer for years. I am glad I made the change as my clothes dry faster. The medium heat setting on LG is enough to dry one load of clothes after 20 mins. I'm glad I made the switch and trusted LG for my transition

When we moved into our new home in 2024 it came with a Whirlpool gas dryer. This dryer was not able to dry all the clothes from washer in one batch so I had to split the load into two or three smaller loads. I like that this new dryer has an ultra large capacity of 7.4 cu.ft. The controls are easy to use. I like that it has a FlowSense(TM) Duct Clogging Indicator which certainly is a great new feature to help prevent lint fires in the duct. I also like the Sensor Dry feature to select drying levels to hep save energy from over drying. I use the Wrinkle Care option when I am not able to remove the load promptly. In this cycle it periodically tumbles the load to help prevent wrinkles. I like that this appliance is Energy Star Certified which is certainly help save money in long run. I wish it had steam-cleaning and Sanitizing features but since our washer has these features so we are happy with this dryer.

We Bought this Dryer and matching Washer.\nDid not want to many electronics to add to possible issues.\nWould like to have more wash options that can be adjusted, Manual changes are not available on all wash cycles.

Bought this dryer machine (and companion washer) 3 weeks ago. They replaced a competitor's set that was 21 years old, hopefully these will last that long. This pair was one level up from what we wanted, but that pair was out of stock. My 73 year old machine operator is a bit overwhelmed at the degrees of flexibility in the operations but pleased with what we have discovered/used to date. Both units came with a standard 'owner's manual' but 'additional operation information' had to be chased down online. That information is fundamental to various modes and functions that it should be supplied on a laminated card. AI operation is the most significant upgrade by purchasing higher level models - results so far are impressive. Opted for the pedestal base, storage area doesn't allow for sufficient height to get various cleaners etc in. May store my socks in there.
