I've had this machine 6 months now. it replaced a 20 year old whirl pool stackable/laundry center. I chose fridgeidaire because I've had great results with a few ac units being work horses and a vacuum or 2 being good as well. better than my GE dishwasher that I've had to replace from the jump. this machine is bigger. I now only do laundry every few days instead of every day. there is so much empty space between the case and the basket, I cant figure out why. it is quiet. I'm glad that it has the cycle finished beep. why it does it twice is annoying. and you cant turn off the reminder. its either all on or all off. wont use the bleach dispenser . it has no hose/line to go into the machine. you just pour it in and then it sits on top of the basket waiting for the spin cycle to whip into the basket (or to the outer casement walls). the dials are in the middle but have no dedicated "off" you just turn it to the word cycles and it will turn off. no mention of this anywhere. I wish it had a porcelain basket. I'm not sold on this stainless. I keep watching it for rust. I've used all the cycles normal is the most used and have even used bulky for my cal king quilt.. I hardly ever have to use max fill just normal fill. directions say ball up clothes but I still semi lay them out. 2 HUGE cons 1) THE LID LOCK. for the love of Pete. allow those of us who want to disable it (or buy it without it) to do so. I don't want it and I shopped high and low for one without it. speed queen is cornering the market in this and if I had the room they'd be in my house right now. 2) if your going to pull the dryer lint through the dryer door then put the lint trap on the bottom of the door not have this huge gaping hole where the lint gets trapped anyway and then falls out on my floor. that design is incredibly stupid.
