I actually hate building furniture like this but I just moved and the rocking chairs appealed to me and the size was perfect for the balcony of my new apartment. First, you can’t build this thing with one person …. Easily. There are so many screws and they tell you don’t tighten them too much when you install them – heed that warning. You constantly need to adjust the pieces as just a hair off and the screws don’t go in well and you just have to loosen them anyway. The instructions are pretty lame as far as diagrams go. But the parts are marked well so that is helpful. If you like putting furniture together this set is right up your alley. Lot of work but the end result is very nice and they look good on my balcony. The price was right and the construction is pretty good so far. I weigh 200 lbs and the chairs hold me pretty well (after you go back and tighten all the bolts that you left loosened while constructing this). Next time I am buying furniture that is fully assembled. To be fair I am not a patient guy. It might be a nice project to do with your wife or partner as you need another hand when assembling this set. I was able to manage it but it would have been done in half the time with another hand.
