I bought this door at the store. I made sure there was no damage. Do have to say The Home Deport store in Slidell, LA on Northshore Blvd. is great at handling their merchandise. Have never gotten a damaged product. Did had this door for about 4 years and will have to replace it because the wooden dowels holding the bottom portion together rotted. Should had have installed vinyl dowels so the door can withstand the weather conditions. Very beautiful door and look awesome on the house at a great price. Loved the style. Very country. Too bad it can't be painted for it will void the warranty. Gave the door to neighbor because I will get another but different style.

I hesitantly recommend this screen door. It looks great once it is up, otherwise it would get two stars. Out of the bag, the screening immediately came loose and continues to pop loose easily. The door I received also has a slight bow to it (probably from storage) which keeps it from closing completely against the door frame. Hopefully, the summer heat and keeping it latched, forcing the bow out of it, will remove the bow. Finally, the self-closing hinges that came with the door are terrible. They stopped working the first day, so I just put a storm door closer on the top of the screen door and it works great.

Unless this particular door is not the norm in craftsmanship, it is a bit lacking. I was looking for something decent that wasnt too expensive. It seemed okay in the store. I liked the old style feel to it and my wife approved too. Once installed, we noticed it looked out of square. We found that it sagged from the weight of the door. To square it up we bought 4- 3” L brackets and placed them in the corners. (See photo). This worked very well but the manufacturer should improve the stability or provide the L brackets and screws and lower the price

Purchased to replace a 15 year old wood screen door. Liked what I read about maintenance free. Installation was easy, fit perfectly. Door, itself, surprised me a bit with how flimsy and flexible it was. Bought a turnbuckle to put on it to prevent sagging and I am glad I did. The day after installation the side oposite the hinges had settled enough to drag a bit on the bottom. Couple turns on the turnbuckle squared it right back up.

We bought this door off the shelf at our local Home Depot. I was super excited about the price and having all of the hardware included. Needless to say you get what you pay for. The hinges are complete crap quality and the first one broke after less than 48 hrs of installation. Now I’m going back to the store to get better quality hinges as a replacement. Aesthetically it looks ok, the color of the bottom panel doesn’t match the outside, but I assume it’s primed so you will have to paint. We are having the house painted in a few days and I hope it all will blend in.

I wanted a vinyl door because the back of my house is vinyl. I knew about the problems other Lowes customers have had with the door and I was willing to accept them to get a vinyl door. I also figured there was some exaggeration involved. I needed to cut over an inch off the bottom of the door and a little less than an inch off the top of the door. Our front door faces West so we wanted a screen only. Glass storm doors, even in the extreme cold, make our metal front door so hot from the sun that you can't touch it. The vinyl screen door is kind of "floppy" so be prepared for some deflection. There is a trim off limit of 3/8" per side and I could have used a wider trim allowance for my particular installation. I added a standard storm door latch as I did not want the hook & eye that came with the door. Other than that, a simple installation and the factory was helpful with questions.

I bought this because it was vinyl & touted durability. I bought 2 doors\n1. Cut 1/2” off both sides for doorway. BOTH DOORS came apart even though we were very gentle. Easy fix, I just drove 2 screws into them as if they were wood. We’ll see how well that works.\n2. They cut down fine but are a pain to sand smooth where you cut (I used a finishing blade but wanted it to be cleaner)\n3. You cannot paint them according to the label on door when it arrived.

Understand that this is an economy screen door. You get what you pay for. You would not want this on your grand front entry door, but I bought two for my back patio and garage side door and am very satisfied. What to know: 1. The included hardware is junk. Easy to install, sturdy and looks great. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is there are slight issues with the manufactures pre-assembly - some items are not quite square with the rest of the door, such as the pieces that frame the top opening, and the screen slightly protrudes from the bottom of the center cross bar. Otherwise very good and I would purchase another if I had to.\r\nA plus is Home Depots' exceptional service from ordering online right through to picking it up in-store.

I purchased 1 of these doors for my deck 2 years ago and it was beautiful and well made. I just purchased another and the quality is crap. If I wasn't trying to match the existing door, I would have purchased something different.The joints are cut too big. The panel at the bottom is crooked. The screws are too big for screw holes.All of my complaints are about appearance. The door is structurally sound.

I installed the door yesterday, this morning one of the hinges broke in half already. The instructions recommend that you use 3 door hinges. The hardware that comes with it only has 2. Why is that? I just got through replacing the PVC hinges with steel hinges. For $100 bucks I'm very unhappy with the design and quality of the supplied hinges.

First let me say I have used Screen Tight products for over 20 years. I purchased 2 of these doors and am VERY disappointed with their quailty. Doors were warped, styles and rails not properly aligned and the joins were finished poorly at best. Quality of the door is a "C" and that is being generous.

It was good enough for what we needed. It’s by no means a high quality door, but I think it’ll last us at least a couple seasons. Be sure to get the recommended kit with hinges and handles. It needs all of those. We’re using a spring so that it closes just like an old-fashioned spring door with that nice little slam!

The doors are pretty flimsy and the screening was installed very loose and very poorly. The worse part was the hardware. The hinges and pulls are made of a very brittle plastic and broke very easily. I had to buy new hinges to install. Don't Buy!

We love the screen door addition to the front of our office. It looks great. We paid someone to hang the door, and that person did not give it his best effort, so we've had some placement issues with the spring, but believe that would not have occurred if installed correctly to begin with.

Good if you pay attention to other reviews. I added 5 inch angle braces on two corners because of several complaints of sagging. The braces are unobtrusive after painting them to match the door. This is a porch door that opens inward so I added a push bar to protect the screen.

Really cute screen door but flimsy. Middle parts of bottom barely attach to the sides. We had to fill the large cracks with liguid nail and caulking to make sure it stayed together. Not sure if it will last long.

I bought this screen door for the right side of french patio doors with a faux door on the left. As such, it was designed to accommodate a sliding screen door, so modification was necessary to install an outward opening screen door. I hired a carpenter to install it, who did a great job, and I LOVE the door! No more sliding door falling off the track! The installer didn't seem to have any difficulty installing it, once he had made the necessary modifications to the frame and filed down the track on the right side threshold. Works beautifully, looks great! Photo attached.

I thought I WASN'T getting a super cheaply made door, but this thing came apart just handling it outside the box (at the corner seam between top and side pieces). I had to put in a few screws just to keep it from completely coming apart. I measured carefully and according to mfr instruction, but it was still a quarter-inch too wide and, annoyingly, I had to trim it. Luckily the material can handle modification. I expect it to fall apart again in a year or two and necessitate my getting another door.

We installed this on our screened-in porch that was completed back in late December. We've used it very little since it's just now getting warm enough to enjoy the outdoors - and this door has already failed. The weld at the bottom corner just 'came apart' - there are no kids to slam it - just two older adults.
