[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the flexibility this offers in options. You can make it all a freezer, all a fridge or a fridge/freezer combo. \nWe needed to replace our 1980's stand up freezer with an energy efficient freezer that also has auto defrost. Those things weren't available back in the day. \nWe turned everything to freezer on the model 50/50 flex. It's big and spacious. Allows more room than our older freezer. The door shelves are nice because nothing can slide out and fall. The lighting in the top half is great. The lower one is lacking. It's there. Just not as bright because it's not inside. \nYou can connect WiFi to it for the app and set a time to defrost. We did not know that it is automatically set to 4 hours defrost a day which was a problem because we couldn't figure out why things were defrosting. \nMy only complaint which regarding that is, there is no option to change that auto defrost of 4 hours. It allows you to make another schedule but not remove that. So we just turned that schedule off and will manually set a time it needs defrosting. \nIt also does not beep to let you know if a door is not shut fully which my 1980's freezer had. \nHaving kids sometimes they don't shut it properly or if you go to open one and shut it it slightly kicks open the other one. So we just check to make sure both are shut when walking away. \nIt's sleek and modern and perfect for a garage or inside the house. Easy to clean. There are no handles to it though nor grooves for your fingers to open. \nAll in all we're happy with this. It's light and easy to move. \nAnd no more ice build up. Which was a pain prior to this model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Midea frig is very unique, it can be a complete refrigerator or a freezer or both. It is climate controlled, so in the garage in Ohio in the winter, it still works perfectly. I got the nice stainless. It has capacity for bottles and condiments on the doors. The only thing I don't like is it doesn't have a handle, that being said it is so useful for us. As a side note, when they deliver your fridge, there is a large piece of Styrofoam on the bottom of the fridge. You have to get help to wiggle it side to side to have someone pull it out. That was a new process for us, so be prepared.

The temperature is not adjustable other than 4 settings, and that controls both sections you cannot individually choose the temperature for each. temperatures that control both sections. I’m not even sure how cold that is, but I know the information is in the manual somewhere. With 3 different settings: Fridge/Freezer, Freezer/Fridge, and Freezer, Freezer, you can customize this wonderful piece to your liking.\n\nIf your Fridge is in the house and you use your freezer more than your fridge, you can set the fridge at the bottom, allowing for more space as a Freezer and convenience.\n\nWith Midea providing a top and bottom fridge instead of a side to side fridge, it allows for more space for your groceries without having to purchase larger fridge that might not fit in your home space.\n\nAs for installation, all it took was plugging it in, putting the mode in your preferred setting (Mine is Freezer Freezer because it is in the garage), removing all the tape and Styrofoam, and letting it cool. The hardest part of set up was taking it out of the box. The company makes sure to secure the fridge to prevent damage.\n\nHow long does it take to cool? We plugged it in freezer/freezer mode (only mode that can be used for garage) and we felt the cool after opening it 10 minutes later.\n\nI would highly recommend this fridge to anyone that wants a fridge/Freezer that had multiple functionality. Like: Garage ready, quiet as heck, have to make sure it is even on. I didn't even know it came with Wifi but use that the first few weeks to make sure it was maintaining temperature. Smaller than our last refrigerator but surprisingly big. Think the old one that died in the garage was counter depth, this one seems deeper, not really sure if counter depth or not. We missed our overflow refrigerator in the garage. It had died last year. Think we didn't close the door one day and it blew ourself out I am guessing. We really like the half-and-half as use it mainly for Costco/Trader Joe runs. I found ourself not getting value out of Costco because we didn't have a freezer anymore where we could stow frozen foods. Never heard of the brand but so far has been wonderful. Installation was seamless too, was garage delivery though, so super easy for the crew.

Sometime I have my frozen items than my kitchen fridge can handle and this is perfect to fit the needs I need at any given time. It's also garage ready which is helpful for me because it is stored in a garage attached room that is not ventilated with our AC at all times. I don't have to worry about circuits blowing or control temperature issues. The space is amazing and the design is beautiful. The glass is easy to clean and wipe up any spills. It fits tall glass be beverages or can stack multiple Tupperware containers. This will make my meal prepping days much easier especially when all the groceries are delivered.

The top fridge is very will lit and easy to organize - we're using it in our garage for extra drinks/food. The bottom portion isn't quite as well lit and you have to bend over to clearly view the top shelf but it is lit and well organized. I love that we can make the entire thing a fridge if we have extra food for a party/event and look forward to trying that option as well. Would recommend to anyone for their garage and possibly even inside their home.

I didn't even realize that "garage" refrigerators were specifically a thing. It makes sense to have a unit that can handle temperature outside of the home AC controlled envorionment. I do like the ability to change freezer and refrigerator options on this unit. It is a little deep but we will find a place in the garage for it. Capacity is great as well. Freeing up a lot of space in the kitchen refigerator/freezer.
