Works great but cleaning element a real challenge. I’ve made a few things. I’ve only had this a couple weeks. I noticed the heating element on top got dirty really fast. I don’t know if they are removable somehow I don’t think they are. Are used a hot soapy sponge and I did end up having to use a bit of the abrasive edge. There was no way it would wipe off and I tried and tried with hot Water & Dawn detergent. Also having trouble getting the grease off around the fan area. The heating element should be clean I think it’s dangerous for it not to be and it will cause more orders when you are cooking. There are no instructions for cleaning the heating element anywhere to be found. I saw another reviewer wrote about this I’m surprised more having. I will try baking soda next time. I should’ve taken a picture before and after of the element. The inside is very thin cheap metal. It will scratch easy and I may have scratched mine a little bit trying to clean around the fan which is also very difficult to get grease off. I’ve only made a few french fries, roasted potatoes and a fish fillet so far. The elements were very dirty after just that small amount of cooking. However, if you can figure out how to get around that the cook\r\nTire is fantastic. My potatoes browned perfectly crispy on the outside soft on the inside. French fries were great haven’t had them in years. Oh, and I did reheat something and it came out wonderful. So much better than a microwave could ever do. Saves from turning on a hot oven. Overall I think it’s very nice but I think they should have a better way or materials to clean it. And I believe ninja needs to explain what to do about cleaning those heating elements. It is unsightly and makes the unit look old and decrepit if it is dirty. So if you’re thinking about it go for it just know you have to clean it every time you use it.

I'm able to free up much needed counter space from the appliances I always keep out and saves me the hassle of pulling out the other ones that I store away because i use them less frequently. One awesome feature is the ability to cook 2 levels of food at the same time. And another is that it heats up FAST, it only takes 90 seconds to preheat! I find myself using this more often than my oven because of the great results and the quick preheat. It's a time saver and I need that nowadays! It also has a light on the inside which I absolutely love. Never had a toaster oven with that feature and I was missing out because it's actually quite helpful.\r\n\r\nBefore getting this unit, I always had a hard time cooking mozzarella sticks because they never turn out right. But they came out perfect using the air fryer feature. And the chicken strips I cooked with the air fryer tasted like they came from a restaurant! I've never had either turn out so good cooking them at home. Its a great size for cooking for my family of 3. And with all that you can do with this one appliance, I could see this coming in handy for a college student, and it would also be a great housewarming gift too!\r\n\r\nI was impressed with this unit even before using it. As I pulled everything out of the box I couldn't believe how many extras it came with, plus every single thing was wrapped and well protected. It looks very nice and matches my stainless steel appliances perfectly. Looks like it was made for my kitchen. I read through the instruction booklet before using and found it straightforward and easy to understand. I've had no problem operating this so far. But definitely recommend reading through the instructions completely and keeping the booklet handy for future reference when needed. I can't say enough good things about this 10-in-1 unit! Its amazing!

I bought this to upgrade my older convection oven with something a little classier. I'm not really getting a convection vibe but I used this as a second oven while making Christmas dinner and it was a life saver. So thumbs up for that. Also used the roasting pan it came with for my ham but in my regular oven because it was really too big lol.\r\nI've been using this otherwise for reheating mostly, which is what I used my other convection oven for for the most part. It doesn't seem to work quite as fast, but on the other I haven't gotten any complaints about dryness in the food either. \r\nI've been making frozen pizzas for the nephew in there just to avoid the big oven preheat. In my old convection it took less time on less heat. This one seems to take more time on the listen oven heat for some reason. By that I mean the oven directions on the package on the food. I'm using the oven setting on the Ninja and not counting the preheat time. I end up needing to add several minutes on at the end. My nephew isn't picky but if it was my totinos pizza I'd have left it in another 8 minutes lol.\r\nI'm interested to try some baking in this. I did cookies in my other one. Again, I only upgraded for aesthetics. The other one still works fine but I don't have counter space for both. I'll update my review once I've had more time with this machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ninja Foodi XL Pro air oven is great as an air fryer and dehydrator and perfect for large quantities. There are a lot of pros and cons to it. The broiler function is disappointing, lots of splatter and smoke, and tbh it's kind of like an oversized toaster oven with a fan and takes up a ton of counter space, so I'd caution anyone that doesn't have a microwave-sized space to spare on their counters. It also gets really hot on the outside, so without buying the special cutting board for the top, you can't store anything on top that isn't heat resistant. That being said, it air fries much better than most basket air fryers and it reheats food, dehydrates, and makes pizza amazingly, and it bakes cookies better than my stove's oven. I wouldn't say it's bad, it's just not an air fryer, it would be more accurate to call it a convection toaster oven.

I was glad I had enough counter space as this oven is rather large (17.09" L x 20.22" W x 13.34" H). Plus it needs some space around it as the unit on the outside gets hot when in use. I love how this oven has ten different functions (whole roast, air roast, air fry, pizza, bake, dehydrate, broil, toast, bagel, and reheat). I love how versatile this oven is. I was able to cook and bake a variety of foods including but not limited to: a whole chicken, mixed vegetables, banana bread, blueberry muffins, pizzas, and toasted bagels, etc. The default settings (temperature and time) were almost right for each function but I did have to play around with them a little after that to make the food more to my preference. I love how this oven has two levels so that I can cook two different products at the same time (example: whole chicken and squash). I found all of the informational materials provided with this oven to be useful and helpful. I appreciated what came in the box besides the oven and informational materials (Air Fry Basket, Roast Try, Crumb Tray, 2 Wire Racks, and 2 Sheet Pans. I really loved that this oven preheats quickly. In fact, it only takes 90 seconds! I was grateful that the cleanup is really easy. I have been enjoying using the Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air Oven and look forward to using it more in the future.

The digital display rack guide is really nice and easy to use, it lights up once the oven is powered on. I used the manual to help me use the correct settings and time.\r\nI baked cookies with it, I used the 2 sheet pans and the 2 wire racks and they were baked thoroughly. I cooked fresh chicken wings using the air roast and the 2 level functions along with the needed amount of time and cooking time and the wings were cooked thoroughly. \r\nTo clean the oven, it was easy to clean it afterwards after letting it get it cold, I washed the sheet pans and the roast tray and they cleaned easily and quickly. \r\nOnce the oven is cooking the food inside, the top of it and the sides of it get hot on the outside so nothing was around the oven because I did not want to mess anything up. \r\nOnce I read the manual and put the food inside of the oven, it was really easy and fun to use. I will be cooking and baking many kinds of foods with my little air fry oven.

The food in this oven comes out great. Meat and poultry is nice and juicy. My only complaint is that you can’t keep it clean. I cleaned it thoroughly after every use but after a few uses you get get it all off. The interior should be made of a better material. You can’t use a plastic scrubber because the finish gets damaged. Even a dry eraser takes the finish off. This oven should have a more durable finish so that scrubbers or an sos pad can be use. One thing for sure there is no way you can clean it with a paper towel or soft cloth. All the accessories included should be dishwasher safe. Otherwise this is a great little oven. The more I use it the more I like it. If ninja was to improve there oven to non stick interior and dishwasher safe pans and basket, they would have the best oven on the market.

I was so impressed with my Ninja Foodi Grill that I wanted to expand on its function by being able to cook larger portions in less time. After much review-reading, I settled on the Ninja Foodi XL Pro Air Oven. The learning curve is steep and I have given it a good long trial. I am not impressed. \r\nWhile it has an impressive size and capacity, that is exactly what I think negatively affects its performance. While the smaller Ninja grill cooks impressively fast on any function, this oven, not so much. It takes way longer, and many adjustments to get to the finished recipe no matter which cooking setting is used (except the toasting function, which is good). So, the reason for purchasing the larger oven is completely negated. It takes as long in the oven, if not longer, than cooking the same items in smaller batches in the grill. Frustrating. \r\nAlso, there is no protective guard over the fan which makes cleaning difficult and necessary every time it is used, except toasting. \r\nThe air frying results have been disappointing when compared to the grill. Things don’t get as crispy and take way longer. Baking is mediocre and usually takes a higher temperature and/or longer baking times than indicated in recipes. Roasting is a redundant setting that baking or air frying suffice. \r\nOverall, as much as I like Ninja products, I would not purchase this model again or recommend it. Stick with the smaller versions.

I bought this for the cabin I'm building as I'm reluctant to buy an oven for a small space for limited people. I have it running on a 20 amp circuit and no issues. And the buttons still have their labels after three uses, unlike some reviewers. So far, I've roasted veggies, baked bread and a few other things and all of them turned out pretty good. I'd say it cooks about 10-20% faster than a full sized oven. It's probably larger that an average microwave, but lighter. I do wish the interior light would stay on, and the menu is ok but it's a bit strange compared to other appliances as the functions are pre-programmed with times/temps, which you then adjust vs being blank for time/temp. I'd prefer blank, but that's me.

Why 5 ⭐ and not 3 stars like some of the reviews,,,Well 1800W's Of true surround convection cooking rather than a full size traditional oven that takes 10/15 minutes to fully warm up than yes this is the go to Oven hands down.... And if your a heavy cooker like myself than you should probably clean up right after every use that's the only way you'll keep it clean looking,,, especially the Glass Door, Duh!!! Now as far as the on/off/power/start button it doesn't take much to turn it on or off considering it has all preset settings that a light touch to turn it on and press start button that there should be no wearing off of the lettering on the power button or the start button!! I cooked a 3LB pork tenderloin on the preset roast button after we all ate dinner I wiped it down inside and outside had no problem cleaning the roasting pan everything came clean!! The problem with all you 3 ⭐ reviewers is yr not cleaning up right after every use your probably leaving it dirty or if it doesn't look quite that dirty to you bc you can't see actual grease marks you figure it doesn't need a wipe down,,, well it does it's call grease build up for a reason clean up after every use!!!! This is totally worth the $$$ HANDS DOWN!!!

The air fry basket included with the oven is very nice. I air fried chicken wings and they turned out wonderful! Definitely will be getting a second air fry basket. I was surprised at how hot the outside of the oven gets, picked up something I had sitting on top of it and burned my hand. You will not be able to put the oven near anything or under any cabinets with how hot it gets all around the outside. I was disappointed at the time it takes to cook food. Much longer than I expected.

Makes it super easy to get food crispy on the outside but still super juicy on the inside. \r\n\r\nThe oven itself is pretty easy to figure out and use but I recommend reading the instructions first as it helps figure out the settings, times, and temperatures for different foods. All the controls are on the handle along with the display. There are 10 different cook settings so you can really cook everything just how you want it in this one oven. There is even a light in it to easily check on your food.\r\n\r\nIt comes with everything you need other than the food. There is an air fry basket, two sheet trays, and a roast tray. I love the roast tray because when you use it all the grease goes under it so your food doesn't sit in it while it cooks. The only slight downside is that the sheet trays and roast tray are very hard to get clean. Other than that I am in love with this oven and have only used my regular oven once since getting this.

Warranty ends after 1 year. Stopped working correctly after a bit over 1 year. Prior to its misfunction, we loved this little oven. When you open the door, the heating elements turn off. This surprised us at first however, it grew to become one of our favorite features because you can turn your food without burning your hand. Unfortunately, this feature broke after about a year. I literally use this oven multiple times per day. There are few things in my kitchen that I know I wouldn't want to survive without. A toaster oven/air fryer/turbo convention oven is NECESSARY for me. I normally like my review photos to be as good as can be, but this oven gets dirty. I clean it weekly, but it's just a fact of life when something gets used so often. \n\nI have kiddos that are busy. I work and prepare meals. Sometimes food needs to be quick and easy. This oven makes that possible. Chicken strips can come out almost as if they were professionally deep fried. Potatoes can be drizzled, seasoned and baked fairly quickly. I usually use the bake function and then air fry at the end of cooking to crisp things up. I love making sheet pan vegetables, they cook quickly and can be caramelized nicely. I've found with proper care of temp fluctuations, one can even bake nicely in these ovens. I rarely use my big oven anymore. If it didn't have a range I might consider moving it out of the kitchen.

You can use it for simply making toast or cook and entire meal in this amazing oven! I love all the settings that it has. It can be a toaster, air fryer, broiler, convection oven and even a dehydrator! And it's so easy to use. The digital display helps you make the perfect food, with ease! The timer lets you know when your food is done. I use this oven every day! It's so much easier than using my large oven when I only want to cook something small, yet it will roast and entire chicken! I really don't know what I did without this gem! My only issue is that on the power and start buttons the writing rubbed off with less than a months use. This is something I truly do not need however something that Ninja may want to rectify. Overall though this oven is simply amazing and I love it!

Love it but, yes there is a but!!! Cleaned just like on the instructions but hate that the two bottom heating elements are dirty. I am unable to clean. - there’s nothing I can do with the heat element (even googled and YouTubed bunch!) I have only used this twice but the heating element makes it look older than it actually is. I am amaze about how fast it cooks! I really want to love this product but is so hard to keep it clean. Splattered grease gets glued to the inside walls, I tried different cleaners and hot water but I am not able to get it out. I was used to my old oven (Oster) were its finish was non-stick but sadly not a feature for this one. Hopefully it will not catch on fire. Besides that, it is a really good oven!

It’s ok but not as good as the instant vortex oven that I replaced with this one. But of course the instant vortex oven only last a few weeks past it’s warranty before it died so the jury is still out on how long this lasts. This one is harder to clean than the instant vortex was and I’m not sure that it cooks as nicely as that one did either. I definitely don’t like the design of the doors. They don’t stay open and so I’m constantly fighting with them when I’m trying to get food in and out. The drip tray doesn’t clean up as nicely as the instant vortex tray did. And the grates don’t clean as easily or hold as much food because it’s a regular oven grate not like the vortex grates, and you only get one not two, and it doesn’t fit quite right so it’s a pain to get it in the slots. I’m not really sure how to use the other two grates that it came with so can’t say much about those yet. The basket is better than the cylindrical one that comes with the vortex oven though. Overall it’s just meh. I don’t hate it but I don’t love it.

I would give it 5 star but about a month after I got it the letters started coming off. If you did t know what each button does you have to be careful!!! Ninja needs to rethink the design I have several ninja products and love them all!!!

This is by far my best kitchen appliance. It does exceptionally well with everything I try on it. So sad it is manufactured with so low quality materials. By the first time cooking with it the front door rim became rusted. I immediately thought about returning it, but the roast came out so perfect that I decided lo live with the design or material flaw. By now (6 months using it) the door, the inner rim and the interior walls show signs of oxidation and full blown rust. If it weren't for the amazing performance and the cooking results we have enjoyed from it, it would be in the trash. Attached photos of the condition afore described. My sincere suggestion for Ninja is to dedicate some time to figure out how to perfect this oven. It works awesome, just wished it didn't deteriorate the way it has. I do use some lubrification and cleaning solvents to try to minimize the spread of rust but still using chemicals to manage this rust situation does not appeal to healthy cooking. This oven really has been a game changer for us in our small cabin, it cooks *almost* anything. I've cooked a couple of small turkeys in it as well and they came out great. It wasn't until I started baking homemade bread that I noticed something may be off. In order to bake certain breads, the oven needs to be at least 450 degrees, which I thought would be fine, since that's the temperature this oven goes up to. I noticed my breads weren't baking correctly, which after some trial and error, I realized it's because this oven isn't getting as hot as it should be. It says the max temp for this oven is 450, but after putting multiple thermometers inside, the highest this goes is 400 degrees. That may not be a deal breaker for a lot of people, but for some who require higher temps, I would think twice. \r\n\r\nI also want to mention to be careful wiping off the handle, after only a few weeks, the white paint on buttons completely rubbed off, and this was only using water to clean with.

It's my muat have in the kitchen item lists. I literally use it daily, from air fry to toast, to roasting steak,... multiple function and easy to use. I love the big size since i have a lot of spaces and can make more food in just one time. One downsize is hard to clean though. If we can improve this issue, it's perfect

I’m still figuring it out. \r\nMy problem with it and why I’m not giving it 5 stars is the paint has already worn off 2 of the buttons and the word “Time” is disappearing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do love this oven! The variety of things you can do with it is really quite amazing. It does the best job on a London Broil I've ever had and it is consistent with the results. I love all the functionality and haven't had any issue with the cooking modes. Broiling, air frying, dehydrating, toasting—it all works great! I love that it preheats in about two minutes—I don't even wait for it to preheat, I just stick food right in. The convection feature also seems to work well—even heating all around. It's been 2 weeks now that we have had this air fryer. It is a bit larger in size, but so far seems worth every dollar we spent and the countertop space it occupies. We have baked (Samosa) /roasted (Eggplant and other vegies) and air fried (Fries made from scratch) in it. The food has always cooked evenly.

The fact that I can cook in this ninja oven in the time it takes my regular oven to preheat is phenomenal! I’ve tried several different functions and so far all have worked well. The 90 second preheat surprises me every time! It cleans easily all but the heating elements. Which unfortunately the heating elements get disgusting almost every time you use it… I thought the bulbs where damaged after I first used the air fryer but it’s actually just where a drop of something landed while air frying. It does come off but took some scrubbing. Regardless it is still my favorite appliance ever! It’s perfect for a quick breakfast and great for heating leftovers and makes the best frozen pizza!!!

I've been a loyal Ninja fan for years, owning the smaller 8qt air fryer for four years and using it at least three times a week.
