I ordered 7 boxes of these tiles, which amounted to 70 tiles in total. Although the packaging seemed quite flimsy compared with other Merola tiles I have bought, only 2 of the tiles had broken corners. Not a problem with Wayfair. They immediately offered me a refund or tile replacement for the broken tiles. Despite this minor hiccup, I have given the tiles 5 stars because THEY ARE SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL. Even more beautiful in person than in the photos. In the photos they seem much darker than they are in reality. They are absolutely gorgeous, and provide that old-world touch of personality I was looking for in my very plain laundry/mudroom with Ralph Lauren Silversmith light grey painted walls and white shelving. I have visited many ancient European ruins, and these are actually reminiscent of something I feel I have seen in Rome or Pompei. In our otherwise quite contemporary home I find these tiles are a welcome statement and add wonderful character to simple rooms. Since we have not yet installed the tiles there is no photo yet, but I anticipate the generous 13" size of the tiles will make installation a breeze. The grout can be any colour, but I highly recommend "Linen" as it gives a very soft look and blends best with the tiles.

Love this tile, and its coordinating solid. I think using only the patterned tile would have been overwhelming for my space but doing a checkerboard is solid and pattern gave the wall some breathing room. We used a Merola terracotta-like (benisa) porcelain floor tile, and a creamy pale vanilla subway tile for the shower. I love how it turned out. Sherwin Williams paint in white duck matched beautifully for the walls, trim and ceiling, without looking flat. Champagne bronze looked great with this tile too.

The real life color is not as it appears. In these photos it seems to match other tile purchased on website of the same blue/ turquoise hues. In real life the colors are a muted dusty blue. If that is what you prefer this tile is awesome! I have changed my mind on how much I love this tile. It is gorgeous. I stand by my color statement so be careful, but WOW! I'm in love!

I love them! I have been trying to find a tile that combines the charm of traditional European Countryside design with Modern stainless steel appliances and brushed nickel fixtures. This is it. These ceramic tiles are approximately 13 3/16" square, scored to give the appearance of (4) 6 5/8" tiles. The 1/16" scored "grout lines" are the natural clay color and blend well with the rough, weathered age look of the glazed tile. You could use 1/16" spacers for setting purposes. The pictures show the tile against a red mahogany stained wood. I may use this or cherry stain for my cabinets. As always, when planning tile work, order more than necessary for your project for necessary cuts or breakage. My tiles arrived unbroken, however on some of the tiles the horizontal score lines were deeper than the vertical scores. Not a big deal though. These tiles can be used for cuts as the pattern and repeats are random. Or if desired, you can add some grout when setting the tiles. As with any tile, do a dry layout and inspect for damage or imperfections. Another quality tile by Merola. 5 Stars.

The tile is beautiful. It will require extra sealing to be able to use this in a shower, but my contractor says it is easy to do this. I am using the tile as a feature. The colors will be perfect.

It offers me the opportunity to combine with other Merola tile designs which gives me a soft, beautiful look that is somewhat rustic and old century looking. The low sheen finish will be perfect for a backsplash I have in mind. The perfect size offers a grouted or not grouted look for a larger space if desired. They are pre scored of I want to grout. I'm using this Merola Oldker Ceramic Tile to make a tiled table top for outside. Each piece of tile has the appearance of four smaller pieces with a terracotta grout line. You can use a terracotta grout and save some time or use another color grout. If another color is used it will require filling in the preexisting grout lines on every tile. I really love that this tile has a worn appearance and a lot of variation. I'm sure this tile tabletop will turn out amazing.

I chose this tile above hundreds of other choices because the photos and description suggested an \u201cold world\u201d appearance, texture, and fine variations of color within the tile.It\u2019s always a huge risk to purchase anything without actually seeing the item, but I was THRILLED with these tiles.They are far better than the photos and the uneven texture, mottled colors within the background creamy color, and the blue center emblem speaks of an antique, country style.\nI would highly recommend these tiles.They have not yet been installed in our kitchen, but I\u2019ve attached a few \nphotos of possible layouts.

The floor tiles are very pretty. The colors are soft and muted but still have some pop. I will use them in either my pantry as pictured or in my entry way. I need to rent a tile saw if I'm doing the pantry but that is not hard to do. I think the quality is very high and they look like they will hold up to years and years of usage. I can't wait to get mastic and get them installed.

These ceramic tiles are just beautiful. It has a rustic weathered look that can go in any traditional room. It's a large ceramic tile so they are not individual squares like you think they are in the picture. All 4 squares are set as one so the installation process is much quicker than individual small squares. It's perfect for a bathroom or kitchen.

I absolutely love this tile! Used it to cover an ugly hearth in my apartment and it is a show stopper! Would definitely recommend it!!! Had to contact the manufacturer for edge pieces, but they were very easy to work with and got what I needed. I think they are a steal for the money - love Merola tiles!
